Loved this hotel. The staff was friendly and we were able to check in at 8 am. It is clean and the room we had was perfect. I would stay here again and would recommend it to anyone.

Well located, a few minutes from downtown, and the main railway station.Walking distance to shopping (Kaufhoff and Karstadt) and Konigsallee. Still a superb business hotel, decor a little dated, however the rooms are very comfortable with many amenities. I arrived early morning from an international flight, as expected they advised me that my room was […] not ready, however they did have an upgrade available immediately at a small extra amount. It was worth paying the extra as I was tired and could rest, the room was larger, and I received complimentary internet. Reception staff were helpful and attentive. I last stayed in the Nikko about 8 years ago. It has not changed much and, in my opinion, is well maintained and of a high standard of furnishing and decor. The amenities - the restaurants, the spa, gym and pool are likewise in great condition. The whole hotel is orderly and very clean - I am mystified about some on-line commentaries expressing dissatisfaction […] with the Nikko. Expectations are sometimes ridiculous! All in all this was not an expensive couple of nights and I left knowing that I will stay here again on my next visit to Dusseldorf. The penthouse swimming pool, gym and spa (from where there are excellent views of the city) was memorable once again - it now costs 15 Euros per day (it was free to guests 8 years ago) but is well worth it. loved the stay in the hotel, amazing food. I wish there was a jacuzzi in the Spa, and the 15 Euro entry fee was expensive due to the free facilities being limited. But overall would stay again.

The hotel does not meet standard of 5 stars, is a four-star, the hotel is old needs to be restored, the staff are very friendly and always willing to give service, cleanliness in the rooms is terrible just tend to bed and leave without cleaning, or suck and fix the bathroom. The TV is terrible and small, have only a bellboy during the day, have no concerge […] it is basic in a 5 star hotel, it is difficult to get reservations or get recommendations and tours. The location was great for us as we went specifically to see the Xmas markets. They were all within short walks. Nice shops closeby too. We had 2 little ones with us who enjoyed the stay as well. The hotel was awesome, it had restaurants, spa and was close to great shopping!!! The staff was very helpful and the room was great! I have stayed at this hotel before and have nothing but good words to say about it. After check-in and going to the room i noticied i had been given a twin room when i had asked for a double room. I went back down to reception and within a few minutes it had been corrected and i had a double room. The staff are very very helpful, speak excellent english […] and the location of the hotel is ideal for the train station and transfer to the airport. Taxi fare to the airport is no more than 25Euro. Having stayed in a number of 5 star hotels in Europe this summer I was excited to stay at the Nikko. Upon arriving the staff was not terribly warm. We reserved a suite which is supposed to include free WiFi and access to the spa. The desk gave me the vouchers for neither. When I went to my suite, the in room information book said that both internet […] and Spa privileges had to be paid for separately. This was incorrect and I had to go back to the desk to get my spa and wi-fi privileges restored. The breakfast was good but not included in the price of the suite at $100 Euro for the four of us, it was one of the poorest values for a meal that I had in Europe so I recommend getting out of the hotel to eat. The hotel was about 1 5 minute walk to the historic old town. Manageable but in hindsight I would have preferred to stay in Old town and will next time. That is also where the best dining options are. Speaking of dining, this hotel caters heavily to the Japanese. It's adjacent to the German/Japanese Cooperation Group or something like that so almost all of the restaurants in the area are sushi or Japanese steakhouses. The main restaurant in the hotel is also Japanese. Overall I think this hotel was a disappointment. It had the basic amenities that qualify it as 5 star but the execution is poor as is the service. Room charge for wi-fi connection is 24.5 Euro and there is no free wi-fi in the lobby. This is by far the highest price I was charged in the past 3 years. Shampoo was missing and it took them 50 minutes and two phone calls to send me one. Speaking on shower, the pipe between the tap and the douche handler was a poorly installed plastic one, stops the […] water with every small move and I needed to screw it to stop the water spray all over. When checking out I complained, the reception manager did not say a word not to mention apology, he looked at me and did not think he has to say something. The hotel was besieged by electrical problems across floors, which necessitated a change of room mid-stay. I guess these things are bound to happen sometimes, and the courteous staff went a long way in mitigating this problem, given the circumstances. All this hotel needs is a facelift. Spa is high end...but tired Some rooms are upgraded....but others are not. The ones that are not, are still nice, clean and fine....but needs upgrading. proximity to great and authentic Japanese restaurants!!!!! Cigar and Scotch selection is good, and a great place ti unwind.

It started badly and got worse from there. There was no lift from the basement car park so had to struggle with kids and suitcases up horrible stairs. I ordered a Gluwein which took more than 20 mins to appear. When I asked about breakfast as I was told they 'were not sure when it was open'. When I wanted directions to the markets I was told to go […] outside turn left and look for them. .... they were not there. The hotel room was terrible with paint falling from the ceiling (and some peelings on the floor too). The shower was pathetic .... it wasn't cold but that was its only redeeming feature. The TV was rip-off pricing for a movie. The 2 beds I'd requested for my kids were dreadful and my son banged his leg and his head on the ends. Most dissapointing was the very expensive swim we had as a family which was included in the price when we booked but not when we got there meaning I paid more than E30 Euros just to get the kids in the pool for 15 mins. Breakfast was average and at E23 a head was just adding insult to injury. Don't forget the hugely expensive parking too. Awful hotel. Did NOT enjoy staying at this hotel. The design lacked style, just an ugly box of a building. The lobby was boring, again nothing to distinguish it and entice you to spend time there! Up to the actual room and I was getting upset now! It was small and everything looked old, out of date and the wardrobe doors creaky too! Here I was, paying extra for […] a 5* hotel and I got a smaller room than at a 4*! Tiny bathroom too, all of it straight from a 1960's time warp - dreadful for the premium price paid! The TV was a flatscreen though, but it was an afterthought as it did not really sit well with the colours or design of the room, plus there was some wires hanging down from the back, which was a little bit of an eye-sore! Woke-up late one day and was told "breakfast is over" - in a 5* hotel, if I want breakfast at 1pm, then I expect to get it without any excuses! The Japanese restaurant downstairs is excellent, they have those private Japanese styled rooms where you sit on the floor and a girl dressed in traditional clothing serves the food: a wonderful experience. Only one course was to my tastes - the others were an experience that I am sure they must love in Tokyo, but was bland to my tastes. All-in-all, I would love to go back to the restaurant. Therein lies the solution for this hotel - don't stay here - if you want Japanese food, then you can drop in for dinner. For less money at the Radisson Blu in the harbour, I got a stylish 4* hotel than felt as good as any 5* one. Skaityti daugiau

The hotel is impressive, the spa Wow! You have to pay 15 euros for the use of the pool, but great. I got a great deal of price for the nights, but the bathrooms were tiny and my wash bsin did not work, repored t but they did not do anything about it. it was horrible because i could not wash my hands nor brush my teeth it was full of water. 中央駅から近く、日本人向けのレストランやスーパー、ベーカリー、美容院等が近くにあるのでとても便利だった。また、日本人スタッフも常駐しているので、リクエストなどがある際はスムーズに対応してもらうことができた。朝食はご飯とお味噌汁はあったが、その他の品はいわゆるヨーロッパスタイルの物で、内容もそこまで充実はしていなかったので、あれで23ユーロは少し高いと思う。トータルでは満足できるホテルなので、再度行く機会があればまた泊まると思う。
