"Quality Inn- Michigan City"
The hotel was nice and clean. We did not partake of the breakfast however because our room was soooo far from the lobby area.(about three very long hallways away) The one very strange thing about our room was the bed spreads.. When we walked in the room we were surprised to see lumps all over our beds under the covers! Turns out it was the stuffing […] all matted into balls! I dont feel this is acceptabe at all! "Nice location, good service but"
The staff people were courteous and the location was good for what we were doing however the hotel looked rundown and we noticed ants on the bathroom floor.

"Good Location to where we were doing."
We came in for two nights and the location was good. Close to restaurants and stores and not far to Blue Chip and Four Winds Casino. Walls were thin cause we could hear people in next room, but they were two guys watching a basketball game got kind of loud.

"Nice room, great breakfast."
Room was very comfortable(though on the smaller side), clean and had a nice balcony. The indoor pool and hot tub were a nice touch, and the continental breakfast was very good. The staff was extremely friendly. I will stay there again in the future.
"The Quality Inn in Michigan City"
My 6-yr old and I went on a trip To Michigan City and spent 3 nights at the Quality Inn. My son's enthusiasm and excitement made me a little blind to the hotel's faults The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very nicely decorated and the bedding clean and comfortable - I think they had down comforters and down pillows -very nice. But, […] the exercise room was out of order all 3 nights. The website said they had an outdoor pool which they didn't. The indoor pool seemed clean enough but the chlorine burned my eyes even though I didn't swim. The hot tub seemed a little too hot. It's a shame that we had to walk through the corridor that had all the smoking rooms to get to the pool - it really smelled bad. Also the corridors were a little too hot - it needs ventilation or air. The lobby was nice with comfy, homey surroundings. The 3rd morning we had no hot water to shower but made do with luke warm - it was summer. The breakfast selection was fine and there was a lot of regular fare to choose from - the 2 hot dishes weren't as tasty though but not too bad. It is an older site but has a good breakfast and the rooms were prettly clean!
Room door would not open properly. Receptionist failed to mention this to us at check in. During check out, we noticed it was written on door card envelope. Also, she was clueless when asked about surrounding area, and attractions.
"Quality In Michigan City"
This hotel is an older building that has been updated. Still we had a problem with one of our rooms. The air conditioning unit began to smoke in the evening prior to going to sleep. I had booked three rooms and mine was next to the room with the bad air conditioner where my elderly father-in-law was staying. The hotel did give him a different room. […] In the morning I heard an alarm going off in that room. I got housekeeping to check the room. Smoke was billowing out when they opened the door. Fire department was call. The smell of burning electrical filled the hall. Can't believe they let this go over night. The hotel did give us a $20.00 credit. One other negative that I didn't expect was NO ELEVATOR. "Not a great value for Michigan City"
Overpriced for the area. Rooms were OK. Was told upon check in that NONE of the fitness equipment was working. Nothing exceptional for the money. Poor breakfast selections. Staff hard to locate.

"Quality Inn Michgan City, IN"
This hotel was very clean and comfortable. Bathroom needed updating, but was more than sufficient. Liked the walk-out sliding door on the first floor. Much better hotel than the last one I stayed at in the same city. LOVED THE BED!

Stayed a few years ago when was a Hampton Inn..did not appear any additional up keep to rooms and facilities...one ice machine out of order...breakfast was mediocre. Bill of Peoria
