Radisson Blu Royal Hotel, Stavanger - Stavangeris

The hotel's close proximity to the restaurants and shops in the centre of Stavanger is a very important factor for visitors. The staff are very cheerful and helpful. The room is clean and bright. I rate the Radisson Blu Royal hotel as one of the best hotels in Stavanger that I have stayed.

On entering the hotel there is a nice effect from lobby with open balconies per floor looking onto the central area that has two fast glass lifts. The basement pool and jacuzzi are a nice feature although the pool is a little shallow. The restaurant served good food. Good, but quite expensive ( Isn't it always the case in Norway?) The room was comfortable […] and had tea making facilities.. once you found the hidden kettle. TV channels were few and seemed to switch off early.. I have stayed in Radisson Blu hotels before and always been impressed however this one was not up to the usual standard. I was shown into a room which had not been cleaned so went to reception who said it would be done immediately. I went for a short walk and came back to find out I had been moved room with all of my things moved for me (without knowing). […] Not great. I checked in on a Sunday and when most shops and places to eat we're closed the restaurant in the hotel was closed as well which is unusal and room service was also only available for a very limited selection of things. Talking to colleagues this is not the same at other hotels close by. Generally the room was good and comfortable and the location was ok (other hotels are better located however cost more). The airport bus stops just across the road which is handy and shops and restaurants and the town centre are 5 mins walk away down a hill. A nice stay slightly spoilt by the arrival day but perfectly fine to stay. The room rate was very high, even for Norway and Stavanger! Skaityti daugiau

Hard to get a coffee on day of departure. Staff told us we not residents and had already checked out. The car and baggage were still in the hotel.

Great hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Terrific breakfast. Nice large modern clean rooms with newly remodeled bathrooms. All good here!

It is quite a climb back up to the hotel from the harbour.

I really liked this hotel and the rooms were very clean, with extra comfy beds. Just a pity the bar and restaurant are closed for the whole of the summer. There are cold meals available from reception but these are served in plastic containers and are barely edible. The excuse given for the closure was staff holidays!!!

My floor had not been cleaned. Room very noisy due to ongoing building work the floor below. The Air Conditioning was not working on the floor, so I was moved to a better room. Food and service excellent.

This is a nice hotel in the heart of Stavanger, and from Løkkeveien you have only 3 minutes walk to the center of the city. Our room did not have the best view, but I still stick to the location since the price was not too expensive. Clean rooms, nice staff and good standard makes this a place worth stay the next time. If you want a good view, more […] exclusive standard and a more charming location you should choose another hotel in the city. The hotel is conveniently located and have an WiFi internet access insluded into room price but this is all good can be said. Rooms are quite dated and require refrubrishment.

I would not stay at this hotel again. Although it was very cold in Stavanger, on arrival room temperature was at coldest possible setting. Bed required repair, and even though requested, this was not actioned the following day. After calling again, it was finally repaired. Meget bra hotell men frokosten hadde elementer som var svært dårlige. Jeg har ikke truffet noen som klarer å få speilegg til å smake absolutt ingen ting. De var smakløse, sannsynligvis stekt i stekefett og tørre. Skiver av appelsin og grapefrukt var også så utvannet at de ikke smakte noe. Dere bør gå igjennom hele kvaliteten på frokosten deres. Hotellet har bra beliggenhet, god service, og gode rom. Det eneste som trekker ned er bassengområdet, som var preget av dårlig vedlikehold og manglende renhold.

Nous avons eu une première personne à l'acceuil très désagréable (la seconde le lendemain matin était en revanche très bien). Une seule serviette dans notre chambre, pas les peignoires pour aller à la piscine. L'espace piscine est très veillissant, le fond du jacuzzi est tout écaillé ce qui ne fait pas très propre, le sauna était hors de fonction pour […] rénovation. Betjeningen var blid og hjelpsom. Frokostbuffèen hadde godt utvalg og smakte godt. Veldig fornøyd med oppholdet og kommer gjerne tilbake.

Hotellet var i samsvar med forventningen. Bassenget var for lite til å kunne svømme i.

Kun kaldt vann i dyssjen på ettermiddagen. Internett virket ikke på rommet, bare utfor hotellet, ikke nok håndkler på rommet og veldig liten seng for to!! God frokost. Ligger 3 min. å gå fra Stavanger sentrum.

Det er ALLTID en ren fornøyelse og bo på Radisson SAS Blue. Det finnes ikke maken til hotell. Jeg vil kalle dette 6 stjerners, fordi at du blir ikke plaget av overhyggelige 5-stjernes ansatte. Prisen er i stiveste laget, men kvalitet koster... Man må ha godt betalt for et så fantastisk opphold. Bedre enn hjemme :) Tusen takk

Service -resturangen, maten var kald, ventet 1 time før maten kom, smakte ikke godt. Basseng og bobblebad var fantastisk. Dårligt med to enkelt senger når vi skulle ha dobbel. Kjedlig med uteplass som holdt oss våkne om natta rett utnfor vindauget.
