All was fine, but we really paid for the convenience (i.e., location). Staff was very friendly and helpful; so no complaints there. Cost $43/day to park the car (ouch!), and the room was a little small (although clean) for the money. Ran into problems with WiFi (# allotted connections full!), but this cleared up quickly.

Absolutely loved the hotel and the staff. They go out of their way to say "yes" to any requests. It's nice to stay at a quality hotel that gives you water, internet access, and a wine party every night instead of trying to charge you for ever basic amenity.

First off, the staff are charming, the hotel is well maintained and its location is fine for access to the Back Bay etc. So why the low rating? Three reasons, my room was too small, the air conditioning fan noise meant either no sleep or too warm a room and the quality of the breakfast (weak coffee, badly cooked Eggs Benedict). We normally stay at the Park Plaza because of the price, but this time we decided to try the Copley Square Hotel. It is so much nicer than the Park Plaza. The rooms are beautifully decorated, the beds and pillows are ultra comfortable, and they even have complimentary wine hour! Plus it is close to every place you would want to go. I have stayed at the Copley Square Hotel before and like a smaller hotel in the midst of all the giants. The hotel is right across from Copley Place and the Prudential Center for great shopping. You can catch a Duck Tour Boat across the street and if you are coning to Boston by Amtrak , The Back Bay Station is only 2 blocks from the hotel. Hotel was lovely, staff were extremely polite and helpful and quick to respond to client needs. Room was comfy and clean, although very small with a view of a wall three feet away from the window (I am not exaggerating). Wine in afternoon was nice.

We loved this small hotel tucked inside the Copley Square neighborhood. Will look forward to staying there again. Great people. Great comfort. Fabulous little details that make it unique.

My husband and I have visited dozens of hotels in Boston due to medical appointments in the city. Of them all, this is our favorite. You can't beat the location- so close to Copley Square and the Prudential Center. The staff is top notch, hotel always clean, and the decor is beautiful. Service was excellent. Check-in occurs at a podium in the small lobby and the receptionist was very pleasant and helpful. Bellhop service was not required but a bellman was stationed at the entrance in any case. A lift is available for the handicapped. The room was somewhat narrow but clean and tastefully appointed. The bed was firm and comfortable. […] There was a narrow space between the foot of the bed and the desk but easily negotiable. The bathroom was small and the biggest problem was the bathroom door which is too large for the room. I had to squeeze around it to be able to get in the bathroom and close the door, A pocket door would be better. Shampoo, soaps, towels were all good quality and the bathroom, shower/bath and water glasses were clean. Newspaper every day at the door. A small exercise room is available. Shaw's supermarket across the street. Near Boylston St and the Marathon site. Close to the T and the Marriott and Westin are essentially across the street. I was there for a week, which is a long time to get to know a hotel. The staff was very friendly, the accommodations were nice and my room was very quiet. The room I had was small but I realize Boston is expensive. And I didn't feel cramped even thought the space was small because it was an efficient layout. The free AM coffee, midday hot chocolate, […] and evening wine are definite perks! And one morning when I was obviously exhausted at 4am with no coffee brewed yet, a nice gentleman made me a cup and refused a tip! The gym is small but not busy so you can get your exersice in. The service at Copley was great..! They make sure I am being help and makes things easier for me.. The staff are friendly and helpful.. Also, the hotel is close to prudential center. I would definetly stay here again..

We upgraded to the delux king size room which was amazing. Our other friends were in the queen rooms which were a bit small. However, the have housekeeping twice a day and the staff is amazing with any need that you might need.

Room was quite small , same goes for the bathroom. Bed could have been more comfortable and it was very noisy. So for the money , next time we'll stay elsewhere.

The hotel is in a great location but for the price one can stay at a place with far more amenities. I travel to Boston frequently and this hotel is not up to the quality of some of the other places Boston has to offer. The lobby is small, dingy and not very appealing. Overall this was a great hotel to stay at. The service, location and cleanliness were everything one could ask for. The only drawbacks were a small room and a view out of a small window onto an emergency fire escape. All else was superb!!

The hotel staff was extremely helpful and polite. Customer service Excellent, rooms and renovations outstanding - the wine down social - awesome touch. Great fitness center for this type of hotel also. My only comment that isn't glowing is the service level of the wait staff at dinner and at breakfast. This is an area for improvement. Overall it was satisfactory, but there were a few things that make it so I would not return to the hotel. I would prefer to stay at the Marriot or Westin. I really appreciated the cozy and elegant but not "foo foo" decor and ambiance - a nice change from the large chain hotels yet not too expensive for a special getaway. i would book here again without a doubt!

It's a good hotel, with rooms of reasonable size, which are clean and well kept. Has character its almost a century old with photos of the hotel over the decades are on each floor. Overall, I liked this hotel. Excellent location for Newbury & Boylston Streets, Prudential Ctr and Copley Square. All staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was an average size and nicely decorated. My only gripe is when I got in bed and found a dirty bottom sheet and pillow case with what looked like food stains, like maybe chocolate. I didn't […] use that pillow and slept on top of the cover sheet. The bathroom had a shower only with no tub, which was fine for me. Bathroom a bit small. Loved the hotel. Unfortunately, I did not find out about the renovation work until I was awoken at 7 am (after returning at 2 am) by the sounds of hammering and large chunks of something getting thrown into the dumpsters.

I had a great stay at the hotel; all staff were very helpful and attentive. The wine reception in the evening was a nice added benefit. I liked that the stairs were not hidden away so I was comfortable using them rather than the elevator--nice chance for a little exercise.

A lovely hotel in a great Back Bay location. Most reception staff are lovely, so helpful and friendly. The wine down hour is great, and the hot chocolate in the afternoons is delicious. Room was very lovely. Quite a lot of traffic noise in the mornings, but not intolerable.
