Overall, we enjoyed our stay in the hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful and can speak good English which was very great for tourists like us. The rooms, though old, are well-maintained. It was also nice that it's close to convenience stores like 7-Eleven, Circle K and Mannings. It's also very close to both Causeway Bay and Wanchai MTR stations […] and the tram service so this is great if you want to go out and about and roam and explore the city. It was also very convenient that it's close to many shops and restaurants. Lastly, the in room wi-fi is very stable which was very nice and less stressful. Our only disappointment is that the hotel doesn't provide any special amenities like lotions and iron w/ ironing board which would have made our stay more convenient and comfortable. Excellent little hotel, very impressed overall from check in to check out. The service was always top-notch, the staff were always polite, helpful and smiling. The furniture could do with a little TLC, but the style is good and the rooms are a great size for Hong Kong standards, and are clean, comfy with many facilities. Location is in the perfect […] spot, near to trams, buses, tube and ferry, right in Wan Chai, which itself is full of history. Had stayed in this hotel for many years, they had upgraded their TV to an LCD screen finally. Room is clean, service is good. Best part is the location. It's within walking distance to 2 MTR stations, TimeSquare, Sogo, and lots of food!

This is an ideal hotel if you are not looking for luxury or extensive facilities. Decor is old but practical and room size is just adequate. Easy for taxis and other transport. Generally good value for Hong Kong.

It is an older hotel but has been refurbished and the rooms are small but in good condition. The only issues were that the corridors were being deorated during the stay and the choice of TV channels is very poor except for sports ones.

The location of this hotel is ok for someone to shoping in HK.It is nearby the SOGO,and walking to there for 10 or 15 minutes.The room is not spacious,but it is cleanliness.and the Quality of the staff and their service is good. So this hotel is ok for me overall,thanks.

The hotel is not new, but it's well maintained and has a luxury feel to it. The price is very decent for the location (between Wanchai and Causeway Bay) and quality of room / service. The gym was good enough for simple exercise. Most of the time the front desk is professional but there was once when I asked for a change in booking date that the staff […] sounded a little impatient. We spent 5 nights there. All was as expected and the bonus was being put on the top floor giving us a spectacular view from our window.

Hotel was very good the rooms were small but manageable, we stayed 3 nights on the way back from the US. If you catch the A11 City flyer from the airport for $80 HK and get off at the Wan Chai fire station the hotel is only a short distance away.to get back to the airport catch it in Glocestershire Road they are extremely frequent

The room was small relatively clean did smell of cigarette smoke.The hotel in general is worn out and dated. It was inexpensive, close to the MTR and near a 7/11 and Bowrington Street Market.

Excellant location for getting asround the Island. Staff pleasant & helpful. Excellant Buffet Breakfast at a fair price but as expected the room was quite small for an Englishman but well worth staying here

There are cheap laundry places around the open air market - don't send for laundry at the hotel! 5 years ago when I stayed here, the carpets were new. Hotel Staff is very nice and helpful. The cheapest way to get to Hotel is to take the E11 bus from airport and only costs 21HK. The bus stops like 3min walk away from hotel. It's a lot cheaper then taking the train.

The bed was the best feature of the room. Nice comforter and plush bed that you would find in a Hilton or Marriott. Room was small but I have been in worse. The wireless internet connection was annoying. You have to sign in the splash page every time you connect. The location is about 5 minute walk to Timesquare which is the nearest subway station. […] Right outside the hotel across the street is a bakery that sells good typical Hong Kong bakery items. Spent one night there, so can not comment on service and most other things. There are only three things that are important and need to be summarized to understand what this is: 1. It is in a good (not the best) location 2. It is very run down 3. It is cheap It has a smell. The furniture is beat up. The beds are worn. The rooms are tiny. The view from […] my side of the building sucked. The bathroom is in a desperate need of restoration. This is the only hotel in HK/China/Taiwan I ever stayed in in any price category that had no toothpaste and a brush in the bathroom. The breakfast ($19) was so mediocre, I already forgot it. Under any other circumstances I would not ever stay here again. But! The Star Ferry pier is 10 minutes walk away. Same with the Convention Center. Same with MTR. 5 minutes to a tram or a bus. Free internet (wired). And all of this for a very, very reasonable price (under USD100 in my case) when everything else around runs at least for twice as much. So if you are on a budget and need a decent location close to the infrastructure, or could care less where are you are asleep after a long day of tourism, this is a good value choice. BTW, the hotel does not provide the adapters from HK to the US or Euro chargers. There is a packed adapter in the room, but if you open the package a HK $90 (US $12) charge will appear on your bill. As always, in line with expectations. A convenient and good place to stay when on business in HK. Perfect if you only really need somewhere to sleep. Taxis easy to get and only 10 mins from Central. If you need luxuries then pay more to stay somewhere else; there is a "frayed at the edges" feel to the hotel and the room. The rooms are clean but not […] spotless. Perfectly ok overall though. the hotel is located just about 5 min walking distance from causeway bay Time Square building. and all around the hotel, there are plenty of restaurants (high, mid and lowends) and more than you can handle shopping places. the room we stayed (for two people) were very very small and has probably 20" TV that has not been updated since Madonna began her […] career, but we are not much TV people, so it did not matter. Free cable room internet was great and also the hotel has a small gym where you can work out (two treadmills and few universal machines). they are also needs of improvement, but they do serve their purposes. Hotel people are very friendly and quite helpful which is a big plus and location is best to none. For the price of hotel, i strongly recommend this hotel for business and vacationers. I have been staying there every year when I go to HK for a trace show. The quality seems to have lowered. The bed is not so comfy and the quality of the air in the room was bad. Smelled like fungus and it seemed they had not replaced the AC filter. Oh well, other hotels are too expensive...

Close to Causeway bay/Wan Chai. Hotel needs a decent amount of $$ spent on it. Very comfy beds though I will say. If you want a place with a shower that works and a bed for a fair price, it's fine.

If you 're allergic to smoke particles, you must request a non-smoking floor room. And don't settle for other floors. If not, you won't be able to sleep since this hotel has a long history and particles immersed in all wooden furniture and carpet in the worn-out room.
