"Best Hotel experience ever!"
I've never written a Hotel review, but my stay at the Bakersfield Marriott was such a pleasant experience, I feel I must! Others need to know about this hotel. I've never felt so pampered. The exceptionally clean room helped me to relax the moment I stepped through the door. The bed was spa-like with beautiful clean white linens and tons of pillows. […] I actually pulled the comforter up around my face. (never before in a hotel) The same atmosphere continued into the bathroom where I found plenty of huge fluffy white towels and high quality toiletries. This Hotel room actually seemed to anticipate my needs. Big TV, movies available, in-room coffee . . . and about that alarm clock. I want to know where I can buy one! "If you want a loud party hotel, great place!"
The room was fantastic. We went for a concert at the convention center; nice close walking distance. Problem with other hotel guests, loud door banging could hear guests on both side yellig, screaming and laughing till 1 am, had to call security twice, they did not stick around to make sure the people leavig did not slam thier doors. Door slaminng so […] bad other guests from other rooms came out in the hallway. Contacted hotel, they replied once, but after promising to contact us further, have never heard from them again. if you want a loud party hotel - this is a great spot. We enjoyed the hotel. The staff were nice. We used the jacuzzi outside. The pool was extremely cold, wish it was heated. Very comfortable beds! Good service overall. My only complaint is the noise. The hotel is very close to the train station and early morning and late night trains were disruptive. "Amazing hotel, only problem = terrible internet"
This was a great hotel - very clean rooms, bathrooms extremely clean with lots of towels. The staff was great whenever we needed help. My only complaint was the internet, which is why I think this hotel deserves a 4. The internet was TERRIBLE. No wired access, and the wifi (which you are forced to depend on) was so slow even basic gmail would not load. […] This is the 21st century - it is not that difficult to implement good internet, and with everything else at this hotel so pristine, well kept and comfortable, it is a shame the internet is so terrible, as that would be a make it or break it for most business travellers. Asked for refrigerator and microwave and it was delivered to my room within in the hour. VERY LOUD air conditioning on roof when originally on second floor, so moved to the 5th floor, no noise. Loved fitness room, very clean too. Customer Service was exceptional at Front Desk. Female bartender not so friendly, catered more to the men at bar so my tip […] was cut in half and the rate was below what Marriott website offers thru Hotels.com but then again I didn't earn any Rewards points, but would stay again to save $20+. The hotel is great. The city is boring. Couldn't tell if the city was dangerous or just barren, but the highlight of your stay may just be the Marriott. Not too reassuring when the first greeting signs in the parking lot warn you to protect your valuables. Then, check in to find you need room card security access to the elevator. Maybe a good idea, but again... "Welcome to Bakersfield...?" The staff and facility are very good. But I asked about a convenience or drug store nearby, nope, closest about […] a mile away. "Trust the hotel's reviews and comments ."
Horrible experience !!! You can hear slamming doors from neighboring room. The worst was when the AC/ air conditioning kick in the middle of the night,, . It was really loud. Before reserving this room I viewed all the comments , one was the AC compliant but I ignored it,,story shorten around 3:00am the AC was making a loud noise that you can't imagine.called […] the front desk and told that there's nothing that they can do.
