This famous beach is also the widest beach in Rio. Throngs of bikini- and Speedo-clad locals and tourists take in the sun, as well as a round of beach soccer and volleyball. Copacabana Beach is a popular venue for concerts and a spectacular New Year’s Eve celebration where partiers wear white for good luck. The glitzy shops and cafés along Avenida Atlântica provide a welcome respite from the heat.

Hotel is older but clean. One block away from Copacoba Beach and a 15-30 minute walk to Ipanema where ll the nicer restaurants and stores are located.

The place is only a block away from the beach and close to a subway station and major bus lines. The hotel doesn;t have a gym, but there several just a block away. Rooms are clean and there is everything expected for a 2 star hotel. Breakfast is free and generous

I stayed at this hotel this past Carnaval. The location is pretty good, a short walk to the beach, and a 15-20 minute walk to Ipanema. The staff was friendly and helpful. The major problem I had was the air conditioning, or lack thereof. We were unable to control the temperature in our room and informed the desk that the room was too hot. They simply […] replaced the air filter which did nothing. I measured the room temperature at over 25 degrees Celsius, which is way too hot, especially while trying to sleep. Also wir fanden das Hotel für 2 Tage völlig in Ordnung. Für den Preis kriegt man nur schwer was besseres. Die Zimmer und das Hotel sind Sauber, das Personal freundlich und die Lage ist auch Super.
