Everything was good, staff very helpful for anything that we needed. Location is perfect next to the Alamo and walking distance to the riverwalk.

Clean, good service, adequate breakfast, excellent location. The only negative is that our room and bathroom were too small, no space for two persons.

Quaint hotel in a great location. Not a lot of bells and whistles, but great if you'll be out sightseeing in downtown. Ask for a room facing the street to avoid noise from the lobby/stariwells.

I have always wanted to stay at the Crockett hotel when traveling to San Antonio, so I finally did and I was quite disappointed. The staff were not the friendliest, there was an additional charge for everything, the bathroom tub did not drain well (I was standing in ankle deep water when showering) & the biggest issue is how small the room was! It is a nice old hotel. The breakfast was great, also liked having the complementary wifi. The bed was small and too hard for my taste. Also found the pillow to be too hard. Plus there were only two on the bed. I like extra to prop myself up with relaxing. Not sure I will go back again as I did not sleep well

The rooms are enough, felt safe, everthing worked, clean- all we needed out if a room. Of course we just crashed there- lol The location is perfect right next to the Alamo. Walking distance from river walk and all the night life! 1st day we arrived early and Sean at the desk was rude. We are paying guest and would have liked to have been treated better.. Rooms were small but nice, we were given a corner room we enjoyed view. I looked for complimentary body soap but found none in the bathroom. Breakfast was not that great (needed more items:bananas/oatmeal/cold cartoons of chocolate […] milk/variety of muffins/pastries. My finance lost his phone, in the main 1st floor bathroom we were bummed that it still has not been found. Location was fine. Rate we got was good. Closets were too small to put in the luggage rack. The hotel is old the lobby is well kept but other areas could use some attention. The bed was terrible and old.

Very friendly service. Fitness centre provided at sister hotel, Hotel Menger. Free breakfast was OK but basic. No other restaurant at the hotel. All else at the Crockett was top notch.

The staff was SO helpful, and Genuinely nice. Loved the Location and the atmosphere of the Hotel. Couldn't be closer to the Alamo, and was an easy walk to the River Walk. A nice complementary breakfast was served. The only Minus about the hotel were the beds, Very Hard, and would have like a couple extra pillows. It is perfectly located to the Riverwalk and the Alamo. We had a very nice stay.

Extremely helpful and courteous staff and the room was very comfortable. Some lobby noise can be heard in the inside rooms, however.

Unplugged the clock. Kept playing at 330a. Rm was clean and comfortable. Slow elevator but it was adequate. Breakfst was not exciting but nutritious. Front dsk, man was friendly, women...so so. Housekeepers were courteous. Let the bellmn know gst can use fitness at Menger htl. Very close to Alamo, Riverwalk, Shopping Mall, Convenience store and the […] Tower. Go to Walgreen. The Crockett is literally accross the street from the Alamo. Its within easy walking distance of the river walk <5min walk. Good breakfast, great service. Older Hotel, but the rooms are very comfortable and clean. Great hotel for the price.

In general the hotel was ok, I will most likely no stay in this hotel again. The bathroom is too small!

The room & decor was not close to what i expected for a hotel with a 4+ rating. I have booked with Hotels .Com.for several yesrs all over the U.S.& this was the first time that you did not have a product that lived up to the the rating.

Air conditioning was very noisy. Loovers on windows let in a lot of light and there were no curtains to place over them. Front desk people were not very friendly. No updated bathrooms.

Same quality you will get with red roof or days inn. Parking is $$$. No bells or whistles here. Across from Alamo yes. Breakfast ok. No curtains so rooms are very lighted at night from wooden blinds. Noise is 24/7 from lobby and street.

From the poor attitude from the reception staff to the noise in the lobby that makes easily its way into the guest rooms, there is little doubt in my mind I do not wish to return to this hotel. Definitely overpriced with basically no amenities, ridiculously small closet space (it's about 1 foot in depth!), noisy a/c... I'd have to say the best part of my stay were the valet guys. They were so nice and helpful the lady at the front desk shows no emotion she needs to smile and look more welcoming instead of as if she is forced to be there. Breakfast omg TERRIBLE!! U are getting more of a selection at the mcdonalds aroundthe corner. I usually stay at the drury plaza […] but they were booked I'd honestly say this would be the only time I will stay here! Walking distance (across the street) to the Alamo and the River Walk. Other outstanding restaurants nearby as well. This is a beautifully restored older building. However, our room was a bit small. I had to change rooms because my 1st room overlooked the parking lot and it was loud and disturbing - horns honking, people yelling, etc...Sophia with the hotel was very nice and accomodating.

Although a bit pricey for the room amenities my overall experience was good if not great. My only issues are that the little niceties like a refridgerator and microwave were missing. The coffee maker was in the living area and tended to make a slight mess on the small desk which was the only horizontal surface in the room other than the bed. That is […] it for the down side. The location of this hotel is outstanding for walking to the River Walk and Hemispere park. Our room overlooked the courtyard of the Alamo which made it that much nicer. The room, although smallish (not bad for two) was nice, modern and clean. Well maintained property with a definite air of professionalism and the perfect level of sophistication to make even a dungaree wearing Alaskan feel comfortable. My overall opinion is that for a few days in this area you can't go wrong with The Crockett Hotel. I was a bit put off by the parking fee but you will pay that wherever you go and it is somewhat secure. Stayed here during spring break. Best location in town. Room was nice, clean and comfortable but slightly loud even though we were on 5th floor and next to elevator.

The front desk and bell/valet were great. They brought us extra pillows as only 2 were in the room. The breakfast was poor because the eggs were dry and the toaster did not work. The coffee was just barely warm. The beds are too hard. Our room was clean but uninspired - a general furniture upgrade would help. I liked the plantation shutters on the  […] windows. Sewage backed up in bathtub during the night. A maintenance man fixed it and it was cleaned up in a reasonable time period. Rooms were small but clean and comfortable.

During my trip I had the chance to stay in two hotels: first the Hyatt Regency and then I moved into the Crockett Hotel. The Hyatt (being that it is much more expensive and new) had a much better room and view of the city and a nice location by the Riverwalk -- however, the Crockett had many other benefits that the Hyatt did not! They provide free internet […] and decent free breakfast. Additionally, it is close to important locations such as: the convention center (I attended a conference), the mall (just in case you need a quick cheap meal), and of course it is next to the alamo and walking distance to the riverwalk. The cons I found were: the size of the room and beds (they only carry full size beds), how loud the A/C is, and the noise coming from the hallway (specifically the beeping of the elevator). The Crockett Hotel is a somewhat Spartan facility. While the rooms are clean and the location good, other services such as on site restaurant are not in evidence. There is a hotel bar, but what used to be the hotel restaurant is now a location for a (coupon only) continental breakfast. Upon my arrival a large wet-spill fan was going full blast outside […] of my door, aimed at the ice machine. Quite noisy and this lasted for 2 days.
