Quality Inn On Historic Route 66 - Barstou

That before I secured this reservation, everything in the reviews was true for once. This IS a GREAT place to stay!

The only disappointing thing at this hotel was the breakfast, which wasn't a buffet like down in the pictures. The breakfast they offered was more than elsewhere but the quality was not very good.

Had a great breakfast included in the price. Lobby was hard to find. Desk setup was poor: They had a power strip but had mounted it about 2 inches above the floor so had to crawl under the desk. The desk chair had arms so was very low.

This was an overnight stay - thus, it was a good bargain and thecomplimentary breakfast was better than expected - staff were friendly and attentive for the most part.

It's clearly an old motel with a pretty good facelift.

The rooms were nice but I would have liked to have a microwave at the least in the room. And I had to go to the front desk for a phone book. The wifi was also abit spotty

Breakfast was good. Hotel quality was average....a bit old but decently maintained. Lots of food and grocery near by. Busy area. Not far from the freeway.

Old slightly run-down hotel but friendly staff, reasonable rates and good bar. I'd stay there again for the price!

Clean, comfortable with nicely kept garden and a welcoming pool, this hotel with its typical construction - each room accessible from outside, motel-ish - was a very good pick. Recommended to anyone travelling to Las Vegas.

Room was clean and the price okay for our one night stay. The restaurant was very poor, a steak served so salty I couldn't eat it. The bar was reasonably well stocked and the bartender very good/friendly.

Convenient location, but an old hotel. A bit noisy, old plumbing fixtures, air conditioner, squeaky bed, and outside walkway so you have to keep the drapes closed. Breakfast was free, though so-so. Good price if you're only staying for one night.

Overall this hotel was okay. They do advertise a free breakfast but what they don't tell you is that it is a sit down breakfast with a limited menu and if you have children with you, they must order from the children's breakfast menu or pay $2 each to order an adult meal. The children's portions would not be sufficient form my two teenagers.

The hotel was very nice and showed of recent remodeling. When we arrived it was 100+ degrees outside. The A/C spit out freezing cold air until the desired temperature was reached, then cycled off. Even though the off cycle was only a few minutes long, the room actually got uncomfortably hot before it cycled back on. I couldn't understand the situation. […] My only guess is that the room lacked its own insulation and I know the room above and next door was unoccupied. Our cold air must have been cooling off those rooms. And as I said, when the A/C was on it was freezing cold. Enjoyed ever minute. Restaurant was best Mexicanfood I have had in a long time. Reservations online did not book what I asked,but the hotel was gracious to accomodate.

If you are staying in Barstow, you are probably travelling to/from either Death Valley or Vegas. This is a perfectly good place to stay if so. It is clean, comfortable, and convenient, and the breakfast is pretty good too. Very good value as well. There is not much "Highway 66" about it, but there is a small museum in the train station (well worth a […] short visit). If you're here in time for dinner, escape the chain-restaurant monotony of the main street and head for the Idle Spurs Steak House in the north part of town, a wonderful restaurant with delightful atmosphere, straight out of the 1950s (but with better food!). Very comfortable and recently remodeled rooms. Fantastic massage recliner included in the room was a welcome sight after a full day of driving. Restaurant on site had very good food, although very slow service. Since the Inn is located at a transport hub, the prices are elevated and DEFINATELY too expensive for the area. We stayed at this hotel on our way to the beach. Not expecting much from the reviews - we were pleasantly surprised. I requested ground level, non smoking, quiet room and that is exactly what we got. Not a Ritz but just fine for a quick overnight!

When the cable is being replaced or upgraded, it would make sense not to rent the room, KNOWING FULL WELL that the TV isn't going to work. That was not the case however. So when I asked what's up w the TV, I was told it would be working "maybe tomorrow"!! So I'll go elsewhere today and stay there MAYBE TOMORROW!

This is an older property and still needs more upgrading. The room was standard, but clean. Sandy at the front desk was very helpful with the internet connection, which went in and out during a storm. The Mexican restaurant on site was average, at least they had a few vegetarian options, and breakfast was cooked to order. But it was a good place to […] land on a stormy night. No elevator available for those who might need one. No in room fridge or microwave. Barstow is not my favorite town with limted lodging, so all in all, average place for a quick overnight stay. The hotel staff were so helpful and friendly. The complimentary breakfast was great. It was an actual "sit-down" in the restaurant and have the wait staff serve you. The dressing area and the bathroom were very small.

Just been touring California. This hotel was a really convenient place to stop. Great to explore nearby Calico ghost town and on way to red Rock Canyon. Nice clean little pool - perfect in the desert. Great breakfast included in accommodation. Really good value

Best hotell we have stayed in in US so far. With good breakfast and nice surrounding with a beatyful pool. And the service at the hotell was the best you can expect.

Convenient location. Room clean and tidy. Breakfast excellent. On the day we arrived the temperature was in the 90's, we had a swim before dinner but the water was very cold and the pool was dirty at the shallow end. However I did notice that the pool was being cleaned the following morning. I would recommend this hotel.

We stopped over on our way from San Francisco to Laughlin Nevada. The rooms were very clean and spacious. Hotel has a swimming pool which was a bonus after a long journey. The restaurant and bar were excellent. Could not fault it.

We stayed one night and the room was good value for the money. Clean, fairly comfortable and relatively quiet. Breakfast was miserable so we went to a nearby restaurant. The staff was very unhelpful from start to finish. Two different women we unhappy to have to interrupt personal cell phone calls in order to check us in and out. Also charged us twice […] for the room and we had to demand a refund which came 2 weeks later. Perhaps if they focused more on their jobs and not their telephones this would not happen. This motel was an excellent example of comfort and hospitality. The motel restaurant was also wonderful. It was clean, had a quality of wait staff, and excellent food. The whole one night stay was both a pleasure and a "please come back" experience.

We stayed for 2 nights at the Quality Inn, as a base for seeing the Mojave Desert. Reception was friendly, helpful and efficient when we arrived and throughout our stay. Our room on the second floor overlooked the courtyard garden and was clean, spacious and well equipped (including fridge, microwave), the bathroom dated but everything worked. There […] was ample free parking close to the room. The cooked breakfast was good and included, wifi was free, and a really nice surprise, so was a copy of the Wall Street Journal. We ate both evenings in the hotel restaurant, which serves Mexican food: I can recommend the Canitas with crispy pork, very tasty. Service in the restaurant was also very good. Bodde här en natt på väg mot Vegas. Bra läge nära I-15 och restauranger för på samma gata. Helt ok hotell, något slitet men rent. Bra frukost inkluderad, du får välja från en meny i restaurangen.
