Hotel Carlton is conveniently situated only 10 mins walk from the Eurostar Terminal and right in the centre of the city. Our room was very comfortable; although the bathroom felt a little tight, with the toilet squezzed into a separate room within the bathroom. Surprisingly for a city centre location, there was no discernable noise (even on the first […] floor) due to the excellent soundproofing. From the Hotel you can easily explore the old and newer parts of the city on foot; nowhere is more than 15 mins walk away. There are plenty of places to eat nearby. We especially enjoyed dinner at Monsieur Jean, opposite the hotel entrance. We also enjoyed a quiet breakfast every morning in Le Pain Quotidien on Place Rihour. Skaityti daugiau

We enjoyed our stay, an older hotel wiih charm, the bed could have been a tad more comfortable.

This was my 3rd stay in this hotel which has a fantastic location for exploring Lille. Inititially shown room 301. Plaster peeling of the walls, floor filthy, toilet disgusting and that was before we noticed bed covered in hairs! We thought the Carlton was a charming and well run old hotel. We had only a standard room but it was quiet and very spacious. the bed was comfortable and the facilities were first rate. Breakfast offered a great choice and was top quality.

The Carlton Hotel in Lille is in the perfect location just opposite the Opera House and very close to all the shops. After looking around the internet for a hotel we were not sure what to expect, but we were not disappointed. As others have pointed out the toilet in the bathroom is in its own cubical and is very small, but don't let that put you off […] as this was a great hotel with very helpful staff. we had room service and breakfast in our room which were both very nice. We stayed at the Carlton for three nights in Feb and really enjoyed our stay. The location couldn't be more central and the staff were always friendly, polite and willing to help us with any request. We had been allocated a large room as we requested one that was wheelchair accessible - loads of space! They happily tried to reserve us a table at a local […] restaurant on the saturday night, and when they discovered it was closed, they took it upon themselves to book another restaurant (La Compostelle - amazing) and give us vouchers for a free drink there. Read from a previous review that hotel offered valet parking, so not too concerned about taking car to stock upon french goodies, rather than eurostar as done many time before. Hotel staff very attentive and helpful, parking car right away, underground carpark , secure. Nothing to much trouble for staff, to point of fetching things left in car by mistake. […] Hotel location bang in centre of town minutes walk from great shops, resturants and bars. room very nice, a little on the small side but did the job. Walls a little thin, noisy neighbours :-) Breakfast well laid out and everything there a brit might need even half decent bacon and eggs! very easy to find ( even without satnav ) by car, just 5 minutes from main ring road. Weve stayed ay many hotels in lille over the years and apart from th eroom size,this has been the best so far, so i will go back. Id choose a room without a view of the main square perhaps as altough very quieton friday and saturday evening, got much nosier early hours of morning! great to be so close to some excellent resturants, we found 10 within a few minutes walk, using top table app on i phone. Great location right in the heart of Lille. Rooms were ok - nothing special and certainly not 4* - I feel slightly that they do not try as hard as they could/should as the location is so great. Change since my last visit is that there are hot drinks facilities in the rooms.

Beautiful hotel, decor, furnishing. Room very comfortable and recently refurbished. The bathroom was a bit small but plenty of towels, toiletries, gowns, slippers. Perfect location for shopping, eating, drinking, culture. Right in the heart of Lille in walking distance of everything including the train station and the small Zoo! This is the second time […] I have stayed at this hotel and I would recommend it to friends and family. Due to the one way system, finding the road can be a bit confusing as you think you're driving into a pedestrian cobbled road, but once you realise this, it couldnt be easier to get to and park at the hotel. Très bon accueil, bonnes prestations, rien à redire !

Les chambres sont correctes sans plus, la pourssière est présente partout ailleurs (les bouteilles au bar font peur!!!); les plateaux petits dejeuner ne sont pas débarassés... ce n'est pas digne d'un 4 étoiles.

cet hôtel est vieillissant, ne mérite en aucune façon ses 4 étoiles, sdb a refaire complétement, du sol plastique dans les chambres, moquette du couloir qui a au moins 20 ans, enfin bref inacceptable!!!

Hotel a raccomander mais les prix sans promotions sont exagerés pour la qualité et les services offerts. c'est pas un vrais 4 étoiles. Un très bon séjour.

Nous avons séjourné sur 3 jours à l'Hôtel Carlton. Parfaitement situé en centre-ville avec parking privé, bel édifice, petit déjeuner varié et de bonne qualité. Toutefois cet hôtel, classé 4 étoiles, mériterait des améliorations sensibles : . tout d'abord un vrai rafraîchissement général, . la chambre sentait encore la cigarette (à priori le rideau […] totalement froissé et les doubles rideaux devraient être changés car imprégnés par les années où les gens fumaient), . la robinetterie de salle de bain mal nettoyée et avec tartre très visible lorsque l'on utilise les toilettes, plafond tendu un peu sali et même dégradé), . salle de sport : sur les 3 jours la douche homme n'a pas été nettoyée (j'ai vérifié chaque jour) : les détritus (boule de poils et de cheveux) présents dans la grille d'écoulement en attestent, la barre de fixation du jet est détériorée et il faut donc veillé à ce qu'elle ne vous tombe pas dessus, la bombonne d'eau vide n'a pas été remplacée pendant les 3 jours (y compris lorsque j'ai appelé de la salle pour le demander, ni le lendemain), le tapis de course à pied ne fonctionne pas si ce n'est que l'on peut régler la pente, il y a des enceintes "Bose" au mur mais ne sont pas mises en fonctionnement, le robinet d'eau à côté du sauna n'est plus fixé au mur. Très bon hôtel, personnel irréprochable et toujours à l'écoute. Excellent séjour, l'hôtel est très bien situé pour visiter le vieux Lille et tout proche de la gare Lille Flandres.

Hotel Carlton is met de auto uitstekend bereikbaar. Ga je met de auto, dan kun je een parkeerplaats bij de kamer boeken. Dit zit er niet standaard bij. Er zijn ook talloze parkeergarages in de buurt. Ons verblijf van één nachtje was prima. Wel bleek de airconditioning in onze kamer kapot waardoor de nacht minder comfortabel verliep dan we hadden gehoopt. […] Met het raam open kregen we last van muggen. Bij uitchecken kwamen we erachter dat het ontbijt niet in de prijs inbegrepen zat. Dat was ook een tegenvaller, maar waarschijnlijk door onze eigen onoplettendheid. Het ontbijt was wel erg goed. Verder was het een prima verblijf in een enigzins kitch maar net hotel dat direct in het centrum ligt, met alle terrasjes en winkelstraten op loopafstand. Ik zou het hotel wel aan andere aanraden. het is een goed hotel, goede bedden, mooie omgeving, midden in het centrum, dicht bij mooie winkels en bezienswaardigheden, heel veel terrasjes. leuke kamer, heel klein toiletje, minpunt, de details in schoonmaak blijven achter, de raamkozijnen achter de gordijnen bevatten stof van enkele maanden,

Hôtel très bien situé et agréable bien qu'un peu vieillot. Le personnel est souriant mais ne sait pas toujours promptement répondre aux questions. Très propre, des quotidiens à disposition des clients dans le hall. Je donne un B+ à cause de l'aspect un peu vieillot.

A former 4 star which still is an excellent alternative given the excellent location and pleasant staff when the hotel can be booked at a discount.

j'ai été très déçu c'est quand meme un hotel 4 etoiles pour une chambre privilège les toilettes etaient minuscule ainsi que le lit et ne parlons pas du petit dej du matin le personnel tres désagréable il manquait la moitié de la commande bref très decevant

Hotellet uppfyllde alla våra förväntningar. Dock var priset för frukost något i överkant. Vi valde att söka oss utanför hotellet för att äta frukost. Närhet till restauranger och shopping var positivt. Läget upplevde vi som lugnt. En av anledningarna till att vi valde Hotel Carlton var att vi kom till Lille i bil och de kunde erbjuda parkering mot avgift. […] Det fungerade perfekt. l'hôtel est très bien situé, en plein coeur de Lille et pourtant la chambre est très calme. Le seul bémol est son entretien : tapis d'entrée sale, petit trou dans la moquette de la chambre, un peu de poussière sur les meubles... On attend un peu mieux d'un 4 étoiles

Très bel hôtel. Equipements très bons. Mais la qualité du service dans les étages laisse à désirer.
