Clean rooms with great bedding. The room was small for the price. We were unable to watch the news on CBS, NBC, or ABC because those hannels were unavailable and the front desk had no clue why. Mediocre for the high price.

This being my first time to Boston and trying to figure out just where was the best place to stay was a bit challenging. I settled on the Colannade after checking many, many different hotel websites. The down side - the communication ahead of my visit (I had a couple of questions I wanted clarifying, so I contacted via their website) required me to chase a few time. We enjoyed our stay, our room was comfortable and well furnished. The staff were extremely helpful and polite. Only criticism would be the bathroom being extremely small and basic for a double room in a 4.5 star hotel.

Perfect location, right next to T stop, but also easy to drive to, with hotel parking--average cost for Boston parking. Having the Prudential Center was great for nieces and nephews, and I liked the variety of restaurants close by. Neighborhood felt safe, and very convenient for college visits. Will hopefully stay there again.

The hotel location was perfect for our requirements, the staff were excellent and the rooms were very clean and well maintained. We will definately book this hotel next time we visit Boston.

This hotel is in a great location The room was very pleasant, spacious and clean. We would definitely stay there again. Our only complaint was that a light was out in the bathroom. We asked both the housekeeping service person we saw outside our room and the front desk to take care of it but no one did.

Great hotel with a fantastic staff, parking easy, breakfast was decent. One negative, the hotel is not sound-proof. We heard people talking at 5:15 in the morning both nights, doors slamming in the hallway and the cleaning crew in the hallway and traffic noise on Huntington Street. Beautiful hotel but plan to be awakened early.

Pro's- Great location , clean comfortable rooms. Pleasant staff. Good restaurant & bar. Cons- Noisy rooms ( you can hear all sounds from outside hallways) Unable to control the temperature of the room (too warm) Overall for the price @ a great location in downtown its well worth it.

Overall the hotel is very good. My bed was exceptionally comfortable. But I was put off a bit by the substantial charge for wireless and the dim corridors.

Hotel was comfortable and convenient to Back Bay, shopping at the Pru and Symphony Hall. Our stay would have been a lot nicer without a large group of people who continually went from room to room, talking and laughing loudly in the hallway until 2:30 a.m.

The Colonnade is a great smaller hotel (10 stories) in a neighborhood of large high rise hotels. It is clean, has extremely helpful staff (particularly the concierge and bell hops), and has great views of the 2 neighborhoods it straddles (the Back Bay on one side and the South End on the other). There is a subway entrance at the front door and there […] are many restaurants of all price levels in every direction, within walking distance. Rooms are a decent size and nicely done. Brunch at Brasserie Jo was great and the hotel is across from Prudential and Copley Malls and close to Newbury Street shopping. Unfortunately my friends were in a room next to a barking dog that HOWLED until 1:30 am. Didn't know pets were allowed... and they didn't know they were put on the animal floor. Excellent location right in the center of back bay. It has the T right in front as well as restaurants and local stores. Very friendly and helpfull staff. The room serveice was very efficient and fast. Will recomend anyone to stay there again.

Not only was the location of this hotel absolutely amazing but the staff here was phenomenal. I absolutely love how close it is to Fenway, Boylston St and of course the Prudential Center. The Keurig was a great touch to the room and I have to say the beds may be the most comfortable beds I've ever slept on! The staff here was beyond amazing and I would […] 100% come back just because of that. The doorman was beyond helpful though I don't remember his name and the night security guard was also great. Good hotel. Was clean. Our room had a problem with the heat. Called front desk and they had someone come up in a couple of minutes. And fixed the problem. Shower heads were nice and powerful. Reasonably priced. Would stay again.

I have travelled alot and this Hotel is my favortie, it never disappoints. I think the wifi was a bit expensive and would have been nice to have it cheaper or free in the room, that is my only complaint. The staff is always so nice and helpful and the porters especially nice. I never even think of other hotels when travelling to Boston.

We needed an escape from things but still wanted to experience the city. The hotel is located within walking distance of a number of Boston sights, and also has a T stop right outside the door. The room was clean and modern (the hotel has recently been refurbished), the bed was blissfully comfortable and it was a fantastically quiet location to escape […] from everything. The hotel location was perfect. My only complaint would be that the heating/air conditioning unit in our room was noisy and did not seem to cool the room down sufficiently. Hotel staff very nice.

Great hotel. Subway access at the door. Close to many good restaurants. Close to Copley Square shopping center and to Newbury Street.Jo Brasserie is a great restaurant on site.

Staff was absolutely excellent. Front desk held our bags at 9am before check in at 3 and then after checkout until 4 pm. It was nice to get rid of our heavy stuff and be able to sightsee without lugging it around. Staff seemed genuine and interested in us, not scripted. The restaurant was excellent on the ground floor. Though waiters are rushing and […] very, very busy you still don't feel rushed. Great location. I was staying with my husband and daughter with an adjacent room for my parents next door. View was fantastic. The green line is literally right outside. Beds are soooo comfortable. Seven pillows on each one and still one in the closet! The showers are so high pressure I think I am cleaner now after my stay! My husband said they have so much pressure they are borderline dangerous! Barnes and Noble and Cheesecake Factory as well as Five Napkin Burger across street. Shaws supermarket nearby as well as a convenience store. Very close to Northeastern University and Copley Place. Prudential Center and Hynes Convention Ctr across street as well. Good fitness room. The hotel itself is very hip and recently remodeled. Still has a little wear and tear, but defintiely clean. My only wish is that the wifi was free (have to pay) and that the rooftop pool was open, but it is only open Memorial Day to Labor day. But honestly? Who cares! I will definitely stay here again! Everyone at the hotel was wonderfully helpful, friendly and kind. Even going so far as to purchase tickets for the Patriots train to the Patriots home opener prior to our arrival...just one less thing for my son and I to have to worry about. Great hotel, great staff and great football game, Go Cards!
