Not a place to bring your mrs. . If your looking for a cheap place to stay with your buddies, this is it. Nothing fancy, clean rooms, rough neighborhood, but your car should be safe in there parking lot. Staff will help out with anything you need.

I stayed here with my boyfriend for a one-night stay to attend a concert. I would not recommend this hotel for families. It's in a dangerous, sketchy, and grim area. Thank goodness I was with my strong boyfriend for the walk to the boardwalk. The only amenity the hotel has is cable. The vending machines are bare. Our actual room was pretty clean […] (some questionable stains on our top blanket and on the ceiling. The bed was so comfortable! The only modern aspect of this hotel is the misleading nice lobby. Very reasonable price, but in a sketchy neighborhood. We didn't require room service as we were only there for 6 nights and we try to be more environmentally friendly. It would be nice if HoJo allowed maid service to be optional, as other hotel chains do. The front desk staff was great.

Every year I attend conference at AC and used to stay at Casino hotel. Since I do not gamble. I preferred this simple, old fashion, easy parking and easy access to everywhere hotel. I definitely will come back next year.

Very clean, quiet, beautiful. however, there was not a bible (for anyone who wants one in their room) and the area was a little scary. The parking was horrible. All around a great stay, though!

Nice location, close to the beach. Nice staff, clean rooms. Could use an update on the hallways.

The area of the hotel was a little effie, but other then that I was very satisfied and will stay there again.

was not happy with the area will stay on the boardwalk next time, but the restaurant was good.

the hotel its self was great for the price, clean, good service parking etc. Walk to the beach was not too long and very doable with 4 kids in tow. The neighborhood was a little rough, would not want to be walking back alone at night. Over all it was just as advertised by AAA's, clean and close to the boardwalk. The staff was friendly and tried to be accomadating. The neighborhood is not conducive to walking after dark.

Hotel was close to the meeting venue i was attending.Made a enjoyable stroll in the morning and evening.Hotel was clean,tidy and comfortable.Would certainly recommend it to my friends. Beach was close by,if you like Casino's then they are close to the hotel also.

The hotel is ok, not great but OK,, we needed one night to stay in AC and it was fine. We had to park in a lot across from Hotel, not too keen on that but it all worked out. Room was clean, beds were very comfortable.

There was a chain smoker on the second floor. We were on the third floor and the smell of cigarette made me so sick. You should place your smokers on the third floor!

Great time with friends for a bachelorette party. Room was spacious for 5 girls, who packed enough clothes for months. Such a close walk to Atlantic City boardwalk, beach, casinos, clubs, etc.

when my sister and I travel to atlantic city we always book our hotel stay at howard johnson; the location is convenient and the staff are accommodating.

Room was very clean....no complaints at all. The hotel was just a few blocks from all the action and boardwalk. I was prepared to take cabs to and from my destanations but someone told me about the jitney...which runs up and down the main ave and stops at every corner. This was very helpful. The area around hotel not so good...a little uncomfortable […] but if you mind your business you will be fine. This was my first time in A.C so I wasn't sure what to expect I was a little surprised not what I pictured in my head. I enjoyed my time at the Howard Johnson. It was a three long block walk to the casinos , and one block over to the boardwalk. There is also a small diner located in the Howard Johnson, the breakfast was ok nothing to bragg about.The staff were friendly the price was right, and I would definitely stay again.
