"AC Malfunctions in Two Visits"
It was HOT. I checked the day before we arrived to make sure the AC was working (on our trip in September it was not). They said yes they had working AC. However, we got there the next day and they said it was at "60%". It wasn't even blowing cool air -- just a fan blowing, They brought fans to the room and said to open the windows. "Great Family Stopping Point on the Way Back to LAX"
This was a really nice place to stay with under an hour drive to the airport in the morning. My husband and I were finishing up a road trip vacation with our kids down the Pacific Coast Highway and needed to be in the vicinity of LAX on the last night. Overall this is an excellent bargain. The breakfast is very good and the rooms very comfortable. The room I had was quiet and looked our on the road. Cleanliness was pretty good in most respects but there were coffee stains on the wall in the bathroom that should have been removed and one day the maid didn't leave a bathmat or coffee replacements. Here is the deal. The hotel is great. Folks at check-in are friendly, engaging, almost sweet. The services and atmosphere are just right for the price. So what happened? The hotel is very close to shopping and restaurants. It also has easy highway access. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We have stayed here before and would stay here again.

The hotel is in the midst of remodeling so beware wet paint and work carts in the hallways. The ceiling tiles were missing in our closet exposing the air conditioning ducts. As a result when the air was on the room was a bit noisy. We stayed there before and will stay there again. This hotel was excellent! And just a smooth 20 min drive to L.A. The room was spacious, the view was killer, and there are great shops and eats close by.
"No AC and half the hotel was under construction"
The hotel was under construction while we stayed there. It would have been nice if someone mentioned it when we made our reservation. Also, the Air Conditioning throughout the entire hotel did not work while made it impossible to sleep.

"Internet Shopper Beware..."
This property is under construction, not renovation. This Hotel should be closed during construction, open windows, smell of paint throughout, keys on doors didn't work and look in the room didn't work. front desk of absolutely assistance, I arrived at 2:30 in the morning and the woman at the front desk had no concept of customer service.... The hotel room was outdated and needed upgrading. Shower head didn't work well. TV didn't work for the first night.
"Under renovation - find somewhere else!"
To be clear, dogs are allowed but the first night is $35 extra. The wifi in my room wasn't working. They offered to move me to a different room but it was a downgrade with no offer of a discount. Then at 1:30am, our dog had to go out. When we came back, our key would not work for our door. Something had broken in the card reader. They wanted us to move […] to that previously offered room until someone came to fix it in the morning. I told them no, I have my purse, phone, and medications in there. We had to wait 30+ minutes for a repair person to come open the door, and then were told to quickly get our stuff and move to the other room. Now around 3:00am. The other bedroom was two queen beds instead of the king in the other room. The television didn't work and neither did the wifi or any of the electrical outlets in the bathroom or adjoining vanity area. While we got our money refunded from http://hotels.com, they would not refund the $35 dog fee, and was rudely explained they had to clean the room. (I would hope they would clean the room anyway, and my dog slept on his bed all night. We made more of a mess than the dog did.) STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. It is not worth the price. Skaityti daugiau

The hotel was extremely nice for the price we paid, we were pleasantly surprised. Our room was ready, we were greeted by a friendly staff. There was no waiting at check in. The customer service was above average in explaining all the hotel had to offer. Breakfast was a full hot meal and very fine. Enjoy when you stay!!
"Bring ear plugs!"
The hotel is literally located next to the busy 101 Freeway. If you are lucky and get a room near the front lobby, the freeway noise may not be too bad. Of course, I ended up with the corner room that is the closest to the Freeway. It was good thing that there was a Rite Aid nearby to purchase ear plugs! (Personally I think the hotel to should provide […] a ear plugs in all rooms that are next to the freeway.) Beyond the noise, it was average hotel with average room ammendies and average breakfast offerings. I would not likely stay at this hotel again simply because it is too close the freeway. our air was broken..and they quickly moved us into another room and the location is awesome. The parking is a bit tight but I would stay there again!
"Don't stay for breakfast"
The woman at the front desk who checked me in was wonderful - friendly, helpful, great personality. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. "What a shower!"
This may sound really rather odd however I must comment on the shower at The Country Inn & Suites. It was fantastic! The shower head was high, had wonderfully strong water pressure, and plenty of hot water. It seems like I have to "dance" between water droplets in most hotel showers in an attempt to get my hair thoroughly rinsed. Clean, comfortable room. Excellent breakfast. Hot tub was cold and not on. No cookies in lobby (as advertised). No free newspaper, other than local throw away paper.
"Convenience and comfort."
Enjoyed our brief stay, and would return again. Our room was comfortable, and my only complaint was the selection of tea (since I don't drink coffee). All in all its a very minor complaint, since I always travel with tea. Thanks for asking.

From our arrival to our departure the staff were courteous and helpful. The room was huge and very comfortable. The free WiFi is a plus, breakfast was hot, we have decided with all the amenities around there we will definitely stay there again.
filed for bankrupsy and didn't have the courtesy to call hotels.com and let them know I wouldn't have a place to stay after driving 6 hours from Phoenix. Hotels.com was very helpful though in putting us up elsewhere.
I arrived as planned on Wednesday May 11, 201 to find the Hotel had closed it's doors on Sunday May 8, 2011 without any notice only a note on the front door with an apology and 3 suggested alternate locations.........would not recommend

The room was very clean and in a perfect location. The staff at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located right against a fwy, so be sure and request rooms not located on the "T" section of the hotel. Those rooms are very quiet. They rooms were not replenished with in room coffee and hand towels when the room was cleaned, however, […] the free coffee in the lobby was very good and was accompanied with free cookies and apples. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room clean, big, and no problem with Wifi. Great location, right off of 101. Shopping plaza within easy walking distance with grocery store, movie theater, coffee shops, resturants. Would stay here again.

I was visiting Pepperdine University and this hotel was much more economical than some of the beachside places in and near Malibu along the coast. It is only a 20 -30 minute drive to the Univ. so it makes sense economically. The complimentary breakfast is adequate to get started for the day. The immediate neighborhood is pedestrian friendly and on Saturdays […] has a farmers market. Nearby on Las Virgenes Cyn Rd at 101 behind a fast food burger place is a great Italtian Restaurant in a strip mall. I will stay here again when I come to visit. It is a very conveniently located Hotel, it is jut too bad that they only remodeled the Lobby and not the rooms. The room smelled old and musty. The bathroom looked like it had mold around the showers. The TV is way out of date and the carpet was very dirty.

The food offered for the cont. breakfast was in my judgement was below standard. 1. offering a piece of banana wrong 2. when asking the server a guestion she did not understand english, 3. selection was not good.

Had to change rooms to the front because the back rooms wireless was slower than a modem. Armando was very helpful getting us to the front so we could use that wireless connection. Still not very fast, but at least I could work. BF was ok, location was fantastic. Be sure to visit The Commons just down the street. "Miserable Stay"
A/C was out when I checked in and the girl at the front desk was not equipped to handle the problem. She had no idea what to do. When I asked if there were any rooms where the A/C was working properly, she told me yes, but she didn't have a list and I would have to go room-to-room to check for myself. Idiot.
