This lakeshore town near the Swiss border has elegant parks and medieval buildings. It also has a busy industrial quarter based on silk manufacture, and is a fine place for shopping. A museum traces the history of Como’s textiles, which still supply the great fashion houses of Europe. Main sights are a handsome Gothic - Renaissance cathedral, and the Romanesque church of Sant’Abbondio, decorated with 14th-century frescoes.

Very dissatisfied with this hotel and would never recommend it. Location is bad, hotel very out of date, hotel website information is basically false advertisement. Luckily, we only had booked for a single night which was mistake enough. We arrived relatively late. We received a very warm welcome with great recommendation for late dinner. The hotel was quiet, clean, and easy to get to. The room a nice and large. The breakfast was fantastic....but not worth 15euro per person.

"Grand Hotel di Como - Great experience"
My wife and I went stayed in the hotel during our honeymoon in December 2010 at a three day special rate. The hotel might as well be 5 stars, since the service was excellent, friendly and very professional. Hotel breakfast was unbelievable at a very reasonable price!
The hotel is comfortable , beautiful with gorgous grounds. Polite , helpful staff and very close to the small quaint town and water ferry. We really enjoyed our stay.

"Our 4th visit"
This was our 4th visit to the hotel. Although not situated on the lakeside, it is ideal if you want somewhere quiet, yet within easy reach of Como itself. Parking available on the street if you don't want to pay for hotel parking. The grounds are beautifully maintained. Our room was spotless as ever and soundproofing helps to ensure you have a relaxing […] stay. The breakfast buffet is good and was extremely well managed this year by very attentive staff. One downside is that drinks from the bar are very expensive and the bar was not open until midnight as published. It closed early on all 4 nights we were there. However, we had a great stay and would recommend the hotel to guests who want somewhere quiet and a good base for travelling to other resorts around Lake Como. Hotellet kan godt virke lettere hærget udefra, men det hjælper at se værelset og vi sov dejligt de to nætter vi havde. Charmen var bestemt at kunne sejle over til Como by med den lille båd.

Das Hotel liegt in der nähe eines ungepflegten Fabrikgebäude und dort hat es ein Kamin das Tag und Nacht Qualmt!! Das Frühstück war gut aber man muss am Eingang Anstehen bis zu 20-30 Pers. am Warten!! Wir haben an diesem Morgen auswärts Gefrühstückt.

Tolles Hotel mit super Service. Wir haben spät eingecheckt, alles ging sehr schnell und das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Zimmer ist sehr gross und gut eingerichtet. 80er Jahre Schick am Stadtrand von Como. Dem Hotel würde eine kleine Auffrischung gut tun. Ausserdem liegt es beinaher schon näher an Cernobbio als an Como.

Wat mij betreft is dit hotel geen 4 sterren (en de bijbehorende prijs) waard. Hotel verkeerd in verouderde staat, maar is wel schoon. Niet al het personeel is even vriendelijk. Hotelli sijaitsee Tavernolassa muutaman kilometrin päässä Comon keskustasta. Comoon on melko hyvät bussiyhteydet (pari kertaa tunnissa) ja sinne pääsee myös laivalla. Hotelli sijaitsee aivan Tavernolan laivaasataman läheisyydessä ja laivat ovat hyvä tapa liikkua muihin järven kyliin. Hotellihuoneet ovat mukavia ja aamiaisbuffet (15 euroa) erinomainen. Ta båten fra hotellet og inn til Como sentrum. Opplev Como, og dra tilbake til hotellet for å spise. Hotellet har en av områdets beste utendørs restauranter. Ellers fint anlegg med god parkering, bra bassent og uteområde.

Wir - Ehepaar mit kleinem Kind - suchten ein Hotel auf der Reise nach Italien, in dem wir auch spät ankommen durften (gegen 1 h früh) und waren mit der Erreichbarkeit, dem Empfang und der Zimmer- und Hotelqualität sehr zufrieden. Die Architektur des Anbaus ist grandios (Dekonstruktivismus). Schön wäre es gewesen, wenn das Frühstück im Preis inbegriffen […] gewesen wäre. 非常に静かな環境で，のんびり静養するには最適です． ただし，周囲にはレストランやスーパーなどは全くありません． 今回は2人でツインルーム利用でしたが，カードキーではなく本当の鍵が一個打でしかなく，不便でした． バスタブはなく，シャワーのみでした． 部屋内に電気ポットがなく，茶やコーヒーが沸かせないのが残念でした．

Hotel situe pas loin de la frontière suisse. Avons passe une nuit avant notre retour en France. En prenant le bateau ( 1€10/pers.), on arrive en 8mn au centre de Come. Hotellet har sett sine bedre dager og ligner interiørmessig på cruiseskip med pastel blå decor og høy speilfaktor. Vi hadde leste fra flere at frokosten var spektakulær og valgt derfor hotellet overfor en annen i sentrum. Da ble vi skuffet. Pontos positivos: Confortavel, limpo. Pontos negativos: Ar-condicionado nao funcionava, cachorro latia o tempo todo no quarto ao lado, um pouco distante do centro(precisa de carro), chuveiro completamente desregulado.
