The room was nice, but the outside of the buildings were kind of dirty. Just needs a good spray wash. Plus I found a previous guest left over chicken in the fridge. I'm sure this isn't common but house keeping shouldn't miss these things. Still over all a good stay.

When the thermometer topped 95 in early May, I was really glad I stayed at this hotel. The patio rooms are a must. There are water features and green grass to wander barefoot on as you call home. The pool area is very nice, and on Wednesdays they have free micro-brewed beer and wings in the lobby for happy hour.

Driving-convenient to CSU Bakersfield, restaurants, downtown, etc. but (purely for information) not really walking-close to anything. Lobby and greeting clean and friendly (respectively). Room clean, large. No fridge! Bathroom clean but oddly furnished/designed. Recommend looking elsewhere for food and beverage - Bakersfield is certainly an area burgeoning […] with newer standard (chain) and independent restaurants, inclusding several nearby to this facility. It was very clean, the rooms were plenty big, bed was soft, and our room was right by the pool and it was quiet through the night! Couldn't ask for anything better!

The property is not a newer construction like most four points. It a 60s construction with new paint. Bad musty smell throughout the hotel.

The hotel was clean & comfortable. There are no views from the hotel..at all..On checking in they said if we wanted a micro & fridge we would have to pay additional but still ended up with one and did not have to pay...I think this was an oversight on their part..or they should consider for what they are trying to provide they just provide these two […] items..The restaurant had excellent food but pricy for family with children..there are other choices very close by. I was extremely surprised that this hotel was quiet and peaceful. This hotel is hidden away and not affected by the major street traffic noise. The bed mattress and pillows were very comfortable. I will be returning to this hotel next time I return to Bakersfield.

I was on a business trip and stayed at several hotels in the same category in the same price range. Disappointingly, this was the least nice of all of them. There was hair on the bathroom floor and in the bathtub and dirt in the corners when we checked in so it felt dirty. We ended up in a hall with a bunch of high school girls who were very loud - not hotels fault. Not all rooms have microwave or fridge. Ask for one that does. It was a meh experience but it is Bakersfield so cannot have too high of hopes.

We were very happy with our acommadations at this hotel. Employees were very welcoming and the grounds were excellent. This hotel has a really very good restaurant called the Bistro. Hotel room is somewhat outdated, needs a facelift. For example, bathroom looked like it was redone in 1980, Formica countertop, Home Depot ceramic tile, grout was dirty. Not what I expected for a Sheraton (although it was priced like a Sheraton).

We have stayed at this hotel many times since it is very close to where my son lives. We have always been impressed with the staff and the hotel in general. This visit however, the front dest employee, the larger woman with the two-toned braids was completely rude, annoyed and discourteous. We tried to check in around 2:45 and were told that no rooms […] were ready. I asked when we could check-in knowing that check-in was not until 3 p.m. She said that she would not be able to check us in until rooms were ready and that would be a while since the hotel was completely booked the night before. Instead of reassuring us that all attempts would be made to get us checked-in, she was rude and insulting, not customer-friendly in any way. I had guests with me staying in another room and I had to apoligize to them for her behavior telling them that I had never experienced this type of service before. Checking in was a little time consuming but once that was done it was a very nice stay. The hotel staff was very pleasant and friendly.

Restaurant food delivered to table does not match menu. Very good prompt room service. Most troubling, was that the door out onto the patio was in terrible repair. My wife was able to open, but unable to close. You need to lift the heavy door to move it back to the closed position. Lots of families were enjoying the very nice-looking swimming pool and […] spa. Rooms are in several different buildings. There is outside access to the buildings, but the rooms have inside doors. A room key is used to access a particular building. However, the outside door on my floor/building was not locked -- maybe because there was an ice machine on the floor. One of the amenities is a free bottle of water. I don't know how […] they determine the number of bottles of water to leave. I only got one each day. My sister got two bottles each day in her room. This was a good place for our stay. We were just there for 1 night - passing through on our way to Palm Springs. We have stayed at the hotel 3 times now and have always been very pleased. I love the big room and they are always very clean. The "free" bottle of water is a nice touch. Nice large, comfortable rooms. Beautiful landscaping. Only complaint was that we needed an additional set of towels. Unable to get them at the front desk, It took over two hours to have them delivered to the room because the person who would deliver them was driving the shuttle to the airport.

Overall, a very pleasant stay. The check-in process was not very quick. Also when I had to extend a night it turned into a huge ordeal, which was not necessary. I enjoyed the room service, and the rooms were beautiful.

Well there was no Refrigerator,no Microwave and the carpet in the room was soaked by the bathroom.It had a funny smell and made breathing hard.The Wifi was really slow.

Our Stay: November 23-24 2012 This hotel nice enough and the rooms are large and inexpensive. The hotel is showing it's age however, and our room was dirty and pretty smelly. The 1st thing we saw upon entering the room was a lot of very dark brown stains on the carpet by the TV. Looked like a dog with muddy paws had been scratching on the carpet. By […] the way, the TV was a nice LG flatscreen, but the cable feed was lacking NBC, CBS and ABC... (no signal) weird. You could watch QVC and other crap, but who needs that? The toilet bowl was also very dirty. I made a point of mentioning these points to the front desk, and asked that they be cleaned by the next day (we were there 2 days) He assured me it would be taken care of... sadly, nothing was done to room 361. Still a very dirty room on night 2. To top it off, a bus-full of college students checked in at Sat. midnite on our floor and proceeded to party in the halls loudly until 2:30am. We asked them a few times to knock it off, and it didn't work. (duh...) I put in some earplugs and was able to sleep some. We checked out Sunday AM, and, yeah... we will not return again. The front desk had their chance to make things right, and just blew it. If our experience is OK with you then stay there... otherwise, look for another, newer hotel in Bakersfield. B. L. The hotel was very nice, however there was maintenance going on outside our room at 8 am. Someone was hammering on the wall and woke us up. I called the front desk to complain and she offered to have them go work on another part of the hotel.
