Hagerstown Hotel and Convention Center - Hagerstown

Though it has seen better days, this hotel was clean and comfortable. I stayed here a year ago and was pleased that my stay was pleasant both times. The compimentary breakfast was minimal but appreciated. Aesthetics are very lacking, but overall I was pleased and would return.

nice, simple, no frills I would recommend it.

The best word to describe this hotel is "adequate". It was relatively clean, and gave you the overall feeling of "just barely" everything. Although there was nothing terrible about our stay, I can't say that we would choose to stay here again. The staff, however, were all very nice and accommodating.

Every staff member at the Hagerstown Hotel & Convention center went above and beyond to coordinate a warm welcome for me. From the personalized note the manager, Stacey, left me, to well wishes from the front desk, I was well taken care of. It made a big difference in my stay, while traveling across country for a job interview. Clean hotel and the staff was very nice!

Our stay was great! We were at the hotel for a 2 day seminar being held at the hotel also. The staff could not have been more friendly or helpful! We ate in the Zodiac cafe and everything was very nice! I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone! Thank you!

My wife and I have stayed at this hotel for several years, mostly for my class reunions and have always enjoyed staying there for their great service and friendly staff members. We understand, though, that in the recent past there was a management change which caused the great status of the hotel to fall below good. When we visited recently, we found […] that the management had again been changed and a program to reestablish a great rating was in progress. We feel the new management has now gotten the program well on track and the hotel is once again at a great rating in our opinion. Although the rooms are showing some distress (surface cracked sink, porcelin warn toilet) it was clean, The breakfast buffet was excellanr, great staff and the coffee was wonderful.

We were terribly dissatisfied by the housekeeping staff. I would give them an F. The first day they did not clean our room. This is the first hotel I have stayed at where this happened. We were out of the room at lunchtime, saw one of the maids and said it's all yours. After lunch, the room was not made. We left for an event by 2PM and returned at 9PM […] to an unmade room. When I called the front desk, she tried to blame us saying we had a "Do not disturb" sign on the room. We did in the morning, but as I explained there was plenty of time for them to do the room when we were gone. Don't tell me your housekeeping staff quits at noon or they only go by the room once and too bad if that's not a good time. The complimentary breakfast was good and the staff friendly and helpful. The bar staff was also good as we spent some time at the bar Friday and Sunday evenings. No complaints about the food or service there. Skaityti daugiau

The positive aspect of this hotel was the free breakfast, ordered from a menu with Eggs Benedict precluded for some reason along with Steak and Eggs. The negative aspect is that advertise in all sorts of ways their bar, which was not open because they didn't have a liquor license. Nice staff at front desk.

Very comfortable, convenient hotel. A real bargain.

Great location, however the hotel is in bad need of upgrade. The carpeting is very old and smelly. The A/C's are old and noisy. The pool was dirty and needs repainted. Lots of great potential with a little TLC work.

The staff was rude when I checked in--the excuse I got was that they were busy. To me, that's no excuse. I was in Hagerstown to deal with an emotional family situation, and a little genuine kindness would have gone a long way. I went to the restaurant to ask to borrow a can opener for my dog's food, and they didn't have one. The woman didn't apologize. […] Just said "There's a grocery store up the street. The hotel wasn't what was pictured. First the staff greated me with a snarl and gave attitude when i changed my payment option. Then The room was gross. Hair was all over the place. The sheets weren't changed and the coffee pot had a used coffee bag in it. After further investigation I noticed blue and yellow body paint was all over the bathroom walls. […] The breakfest wasn't bad but the fact another waitress took our ewaitress tip really upset me. Generally the hotel was fine, we were looking for beds and a pool and clean and it met those standards, what was very disappointing was the rude attitude of the afternoon clerk when we checked in. It was very clear that we were interrupting whatever important thing she was doing. Once we had checked in we had to ask directions to our room and had to […] ask where the breakfast was served, all of these questions clearly a disruption. Finally when I asked about the pool being open she got very sarcastic. Not a good start to an otherwise acceptable hotel experience Oh, our room was not locked when we got there, this was probably because the door didn't shut well and had to be very intentionally closed to shut. This was the best stay of our trip. Close to all amenities, yet away from the congestion and traffic of downtown. The staff from check in to check out were superb, the room was clean and well appointed, a full breakfast for free. No complaints. Parking ample for trailers, etc. pets accepted. What's not to love?

You get what you pay for. The Hotel is 2 levels with no elevator. So if you have heavy luggage or cooler it's difficult. Our room was so far from the entrance but they sent us the long way down 3 long halls instead of showing us the shorter way. The ice machine was broken on the second floor and it had a sign to fill coolers in the kitchen. So I asked […] how was I an almost 50 year old lady to haul a cooler full of drinks and ice up the stairs? They were nice enough to bring the ice to my room. The next day before we checked out I went to the kitchen to get the ice. They lead me all the way through the entire kitchen to get my own ice. I was surprised they let anyone back in the kitchen. My husband was upset there was no clock in the room and the phone was across the room on the desk. If you need a wake up call, you would have to get out of bed in the dark to find the phone. Room was clean, not enough towels. We did not use the pool, but it looked clean. Breakfast was o.k. Had to ask for ice tea and cereal. Not much to select from but did have eggs. The hotel was wonderful. Even though there was a wedding reception going on once we got to our room we never heard any of it. Very quiet! Not a great selection for the free breakfast but it was a hot meal. Bacon, sausage, eggs, potatoes, toast and mixed fruit.

only complaint is that there were only 2 pillows and they were not so comfortable....otherwise very nice room, and the breakfast was great too.

Staff are very friendly and accomodating. Can't beat it for the price. Clean room, complimentary breakfast and convenient location.

I really loved my stay! My room was clean and stayed clean do to the friendly and fast housekeeping! (even with my 2 big dogs, which they welcomed with treats in true "animal lovers" style!) The whole staff made me feel welcome and comfortable! The food and cocktails are VERY good! You get tickets for each day of your stay for an incredible and free […] breakfast that you choose from the breakfast menu! I just made sure I tipped the well deserving staff!!! I was just looking for an overnight hotel close to the interstate. I got much more! The room was very comfortable, clean and well set up .We had a full hot breakfast. Grounds attractive. I would have gladly enjoyed an extended stay.

Verdant western Maryland has a plethora of beautiful, stirring sights and attractions--manmade and natural--from the terrible but inspiring Antietam Battlefield maintained by the U. S. Parks Service to the old C&O towpath by the majestic and mist-adorned Potomac. This hotel is close to several must see historical sites, museums, and shops. The hotel was easy check in, rooms are spacious and clean. The hotel is pet friendly which was my biggest plus since we took our dog with us. Beds were comfortable with extra big pillows. The dinning area has friendly service and good food. It is located off the interstate and close to local shopping allowing easy access to anything you might need. The service was top rate and the food at the restaurant was fantastic. The accomadations were clean and oh so comfortable. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Hagerstown Maryland.

We booked a quiet room, and the window was to the highway. In the second room was smoke in the air, and the third room smelled not nice. The pool was closed in august after 8 p.m. what was a pitty. We were to late.
