Room was very comfortable and quiet. Hotel was close to highway and restaurants. Hotel personal were very friendly and helpful.

Hotel was decent. They had a small exercise room, but but adequate. Location was good to Walmart, and restaurants in the area and to I-80

Though the desk staff was very nice this hotel was dirty and outdated. Crusty stains all over the couch, sticky counters and remotes, sheets smelled like someone had slept in them. We had our 6 month old twins with us and asked to use a crib. They brought a nasty pack and play to us that had brown stains on it and holes in the netting. Would never stay […] here again. Never! No amenities, terrible shower, ugly. You have to go to lobby to get some shampoo. The bathroom is the worst. It's cold and a super-strong exhaust fan comes on when you turn on the light, so it's noisy and cold.

I stay at this hotel at least three times a month. The Hotel is always clean from the lobby to the rooms. The staff is very helpful and polite beyond measure. There are restaurants and stores near for your conveniece. I could stay at larger pricier hotels but I know they wouldn't compare.

Hotel lobby and surrounding areas were clean....rooms were clean and beds were comfortable, with the exception that the coffee pot was left dirty, which was minor compared to other places I've stayed before.

Hotel had a great location, easy walk to some restaurants and a great diner. Also, right off Rt 9 so easy access for visiting sights, like in Hyde Park. Best aspect was the desk clerk on duty Saturday evening - incredibly helpful in finding and making a restaurant reservation. Hotel changed names from homestead suites, between booking and stay, making it a bit more difficult to find. The rooms were decent, but not very meticulous on the cleaning. The front desk staff was very nice.

The hotel name that I reserved under had changed, so instead of the building being called the Homestead it was called the Extended Stay. This was confusing to make sense over at 9pm at night. very clean and service was great. personnel and workers there were very help full. and would recommend it to any one. kitchen had every thing needed to cook and very close to restaurants and shopping.

Good jumping point for seeing FDR home. small one bedroom suite, decor was a little outdated. Lack of services, no service after midnight, but friendly staff. No gym or pool which was a bummer for a family with small children. Would stay here again.

Didn't get the room that we booked and confirmed. the guy at the desk say we have to call for confirmation but hotel.com says that we don't need it. We booked a double bed room ended with a single bed. We were 6.

We stayed here for three nights while dropping off our son for college. This was supposed to be a one bedroom suite room. It was one bedroom and it was a "suite", barely large enough to turn around. No soap or cups in the bathroom, a large black stain on the sink cabinet that looked like something spilled. We came back the second night after the day's […] activities to find the room exactly as we had left it--not cleaned, no fresh towels, etc. After calling the front desk we were informed this was an "extended stay" hotel and rooms are only cleaned if you stay a week! We had to go to the desk to pick up fresh towels. Went to the front desk three times during our stay and each time no one was there. We thought the hotel was great for the price. There were kitchens in the room, but we didn't use them because we were only there for one night. Check in was easy. When asked, the desk clerk recommended a superb restaurant for dinner, Hudson's. Check out was a little odd because no one was at the front desk. I felt a funny leaving the room key cards on the desk.

Its a great place for the money. I have stayed there many times. The staff are very nice and helpful. The entite place is quite clean and the rooms offer accomodations that allow you to cook if you want. There are great restaurants walking distance.

The hotel was generally quite satisfactory but when we returned to our room that evening we found that the toilet did not work. We called the desk who informed us that housekeeping was not available at that hour. We were unpacked and settled for the evening when we were advised the only solution was to change rooms. Stayed for two days and this Hotel is close to everything you would want, rooms do have mini kitchens so if you want you can cook a meal we didn't we preferred to eat out but at least the option is there if you want to!! The hotel doesn't have a pool but you get a pass to the gym right around the corner that has a big pool, Hot tub, steam showers and […] sauna!! up there street two blocks is a street of restaurants that the food is outstanding!! All of the surrounding hotels were much more expensive during the popular leaf peeping season. If you're not looking for a lot of amenities and just need a clean place to sleep, this hotel can't be beat. In town for visits to area colleges, we found the Homestead conveniently located just off rte. 9 for easy access. Front desk provided local directions. We were tired and could walk easily to Cracker Barrel for dinner and Panera and didn't have to get into the car after a long auto trip. Room was well-designed with a lot of storage space.

We had reserved a non-smoking room, only to find ourselves in a smoking room. They were fully booked and couldn't move us after we asked them to. They did send up fabreeze and some type of other spray, which helped a little bit. Then the air conditioner started smoking halfway through the night, so we had to turn that off, thankfully it was a hotel […] with windows that opened. The interior condition of the room isn't anything fancy or fantastic. But what you get is a whole studio apartment with a couch, stove, microwave, full size fridge/freezer, a pot and a pan and a dishwasher. You are set!

I used this hotel for a last minute stay due to my driveway being washed out. It was a great stay for my kids and myself. It was convenient to shopping & restaurants. It was the only clean, decent place with enough space availabe to accommodate us in our time of need. The kitchen was spotless and ready to use.

This hotel could benefit from some upgrades like most hotels who seem to not upgrade the technology.
