Nice hotel very centrally located but don't forget it has no car park!

The reasons for my rating of 1 is as follows : 1. The non-smoking room smelt of "something" which in opinion of the staff was because the curtains had not been washed for a long time. 2. A budget convenient hotel that needs updating desperately

everything brilliant apart from toilet that had flushing problem and effects of condensation appear in bathroom ceiling and below wash tab. i would recommend this hotel to anyone travelling as it is near all services.

We stayed here when we went to see kings of Leon at the ricoh. The bus pick up was right outside the hotel, then when your back later, it's easy to go into town for a couple of bevys. Only bad points were the bar smells like a bingo evening, although there was a cheap pint deal on! The car park is down the road a bit, so drop bags off before parking, […] it's a pound plus a bit an hour after 8am the day your leaving. The hotel seems like it was a 5 star hotel in the 70's, but has been forgotten about since. Wouldn't choose it as a holiday stay, but was ideal for crashing after a night out with the mrs. Perfect for anyone wanting a base to explore this part of UK. Breakfast offers plenty of choice. Wifi in a large lounge on ground floor.

The hotel is dated and could do with some tarting up. For example, the sheets on my bed were ripped, the floral(!) curtains didn't meet, the TV looked older than me and some of the drawers on the chest of drawers were falling off. My room was far too hot and I had to have the window open as there was no thermostat, and there was a lot of noise outside […] - traffic and people - due to the central location. However, my room was clean and reception staff were friendly (although not always there). I would stay again if the rates were reduced, but for about the same price you can stay in a Travelodge on the next street which would be my prefered option if I ever stayed in Coventry again. Whilst waiting to check in, the reception staff were very rude and unhelpful to a foreign guest checking in before me. My room was not ready but the housekeeping staff member quickly made the bed up, apologising and stating that the laundry delivery was late. My room was large, having a separate toilet to the bath/shower room. The decor was dated […] but I quite liked it, the security chain was missing from the door. There was food and dirt on the carpet, the desk area was dirty and sticky, and there was a gap of about an inch in the sliding window frames which caused a big cold draft. There were lots of clean towels left so I used some of these to bung up the draft and turned the radiator to full. This came on about 7pm and the room was warm. The hotel was very busy with old people bus tours and foreign school children. It is a very central location next to bus station and transport museum in city centre, there is quite a lot of noise from the nearby traffic but I had ear plugs so this didn't bother me. Nice stay!

Heating was not working in the room. I reported the problem at 2pm on 6th Dec 2010. I was told that somebody will look into it but I knew it was not recorded anywhere. Nobody looked into the problem. Luckily it started working automatically at about 7:30pm. The bathroom was leaking in my room (room 611). The leakage was from toilet. I reported the problem […] in the morning at 08:15am on 7th Dec 2010. Nothing was done till 6pm same day. It was dealt when I again went to customer service at 7 pm and raised my voice. I was told that somebody will repair it and it will require removing tile and all sort of thing. I requested not to be disturbed by doing plumbing work as I am here for exam. I was given another room when requested for another room of any type, even smaller or with single bed. I was expecting the option of alternative accomodotion from the customer service rather than me begging for one. For the cheap rates you can get this hotel for I say it is very good vale. Although the hotel is worn and need of maintenance their double beds are quite confortable. Unfortunately they refused to honor the reservation for the double room I had requested. I will not stay here again unless they guarantee the room type I requested. For the budget price we paid -excellent staff as you would hope for in a hotel of this standing Would have to state some major refurb needed in room we were allocated but presumably other rooms have been upgraded. We were only wanting bed as visiting daughter at university so cannot comment on restaurant facilities etc.

This hotel was very cheap, but on arrival I could see why. The hotel was in a state of general disrepair, everything looked worn-out and shabby. The windows and bathroom was dirty. The wardrobe smelt stale and I did not want to hang my suit in it. The bed was clean but uncomfortable. This place is not newly renowated and many things in this hotel are falling apart. Not a clean hotel. The area it's in is also very dirty. As the street sweeper went by to clean the sidewalk, it looked as though black ash was on the streets. Very noisy too at night. I would not recommend staying at this hotel- unless you need to be very cheap.

Average hotel but is located very close to two busy roads and is very noisy. I could not sleep all night.

This was not my first time staying at the Britannia. The first 2 stays were not bad, but this time it was terrible. The room I was given was freezing cold and the bathroom was absolutely disgusting. The room I had stayed in before had a lovely big bath and it felt clean, but this time the bath was dingy and looked dirty, and the shower was barely usable […] as well as having no hot water. I find the staff very rude and unhelpful, and they always seem to make me feel like I'm putting them out, even though they should just be doing their job. The only reason I choose to stay here is because I have to be in Coventry for days at a time, and it is the cheapest, with a really good location (plus a sainsbury's just down the road). Just one thing id like to add to above. My daughter an I arrived very early in the morning to Britannia we were very tired and hoped that there may be a room available to check into early. The receptionist was more than accomadating and also gave us a dicount on our breakfast. I found this level of service very impressive as most hotels would not accept […] a check in until after 2pm. When we first arrived we weren't too sure - firstly the condition of the hotel from the outside and the fact we were told public parking was available opposite - actually down the road but it didn't matter. However when we got to our room, it was big, clean and bright and none of the noise at night could be heard!

Disgusting hotel where however hard we tried couldn't find anything good to say about it.....well perhaps location. Given a smoking room (which was disgusting..when booked a n/s...they claim none left! Offered a fan...then they changed their mind & said they have none! Unclean room & dirty bathroom.....can't even say we got what we paid for!!

Spacious room, good location. Across from Coventry Bus terminal, and transportation museum. Walking distance to restaurants, cathedral, food market. Attractive lobby, old hotel, beds could be better. Billigt, gammalt och ok, men som sagt inte renoverat sen det byggdes för 30år sen. Väl värt sina billiga pengar, men kanske inte mer... Och köp din frukost på det italienska kafét runt hörnet istället...

酒店位于市中央区域，出行，生活非常方便，相对于英国这个价位真的很不错了，但是酒店前台对于我们的到来不冷不热，不过真的有事情需要帮助时，她们很热心的。强烈建议经济不是特别丰富的游客住这家酒店。 不过上网非常不方便，只在很少的指定区域可以。

Chambre simple mais propre. A signaler qu'il est centré donc très pratique, mais situé près d'un axe routier, donc bruyant. Il y a bien un double vitrage prévu, mais sur une vitre il manquait le double vitrage. Literie très fatiguée. Rapport qualité prix, correct.

situation exceptionnelle et quelques minutes à pied du centre historique de la ville et de Coventry University, en face de la gare routière et qq minute du ring son accès est particulièrement facile avec un grand parking à 100m. Chambre très spacieuse , neanmoins La plomberie et les fenetres (ouvertures et rideaux ) meriterait un "refresh"

The worst experience of my life. Reported three times that the toilet would not flush. Stayed for two out of three nights with a used toilet . After each time I reported this at the front desk, the receptionisr said the same thing, Sorry, will contact drifts department right away. On returning to the room and finding the toilet still not funktioning, […] i reported it again, Same answer, Sorry ect. After three times , i demanded a new room. Was told there were no other rooms. finally someone come and loooked at the toilet and said it could not be fixed. Saturday morning we then got another room, telefone not working in the room, and after using the toilet once, one had to wait for 1 hour before being able to use it again. Olimme reppureissulla Englannissa, joten yöpyminen kahden hengen huoneessa hotellissa oli erityisen rentouttava kokemus. Huone oli siisti, samoin kylpyhuone. Kahvia ja teetä oli huoneessa tarjolla, mikä ilahdutti meitä aikaisin matkaan lähtevinä. Aamiainen ei kuulunut meillä hintaan, mutta sen olisi saanut varata vastaanotossa varsin hyvään hintaan. […] Ainoa hämmennys oli poislähtiessä, kun meiltä yllättäen vaadittiin ylimääräisia maksuja ateriakuluista, vaikka emme olleet syöneet murustakaan. Virkailija tosin korjasi tilanteen ja totesi, että tässä on varmasti aamupala, joka laitetaan automaattisesti kirjautumisen aikana. Outo tapa. 交通至便な立地にあり、料金もリーズナブル。ただ、コベントリー市内にはあまり観光スポットがないので、このホテルを拠点に、日帰圏の観光スポットを回ると良いかもしれません。

Le seul avantage de cet hôtel est sa situation géographique. Je n'y retournerai jamais. Service d'accueil très limite, on avait le sentiment de déranger le personnel à la réception. Chambre plutôt vétuste, salle de bains mal entretenue. Comme l'hôtel accueille des grands groupes en autocar la gestion du petit déjeuner est compliqué - chaque groupe doit […] passer à une heure spécifique et un client individuel gêne beaucoup. En plein centre de Coventry. Grande chambre très confortable. Personnel discret mais efficace. Petit déjeuner extra. Le parking tout proche est pratique, bien qu'un peu cher.

Otelde yenileme ve boya yapılıyordu. Otel çalışanları birkaç tanesi hariç soğuk tavırlar sergilediler, daha güleryüzlü bir yaklaşım beklerdim. Ayrıca akşam yemeği ve sabah kahvaltısı extra ücret ödememe ve pahalı olmalarına rağmen çok özensizdi. Çeşit az ve lezzetsiz.
