Nice hotel with excellent service but the whole hotel was far too warm, radiators were needless on in all the halls and our room. We booked a suite and for a 5 start hotel, we both found the bed very uncomfortable and in need of replacing. Spa was first class though and the rest of the amenities on offer couldn't be faulted.

Well, when you pay a price beginning with a 4, you expect value for money! This was a poor standard hotel, I hear the hotel inspector graded it 2/5, I think he was generous! Concierge were great, check in easy, door to the room, handle cane off in my hand! Single glazing windows in the room, thought the birds were in my room upon entry, radiators screaming […] air in them, awful snowy tv picture and insulted with the old "it's the weather" excuse when reported, wonder what they say in summer! Shower was disgraceful, I had to wiggle round to find a jet stream of water strong enough to get my shampoo off! Clogged up with limescale, obviously never checked! Lovely spa, but the steam and sauna both closed for maintainance! Overall my stay was not at all impressive! Cannot see where they get the room rate from, probably relying on the fact they're in an expensive neighbourhood as its certainly not the hotel which demands such expense! The place is mind-blowing, the food outstanding and everything kept to the highest standard. Service is perhaps too keen to help. Rooms are excellent but decoration in our room was a bit too old... The spa is the most amazing part, really good and relaxing

I HAVE STAYED BEFORE AT THIS HOTEL AND AM PLEASED TO SEE THE VERY HIGH STANDARD STILL EXISTS. THE STAFF ARE VERY EFFICIENT AND COURTEOUS. THE HOTEL SPA IS BEAUTIFUL AND CHILLED.

I was here for the night before my wedding and then with my wife for our wedding night. We stayed in a Junior Suite which was enormous and had every conceivable thing you might need. Room Service food and breakfast were exceptional and the staff could not have made us feel more comfortable and welcome. I was given special treatment in the bar the night […] before the wedding and on the day, they were able to put together a quick lunch with 5 minutes notice for my father who arrived unexpectedly and hungry! We stayed one night as a leisure spa break. The hotel is easy to locate and situated in stunning grounds. The staff were welcoming and efficient. The rooms are all different, and well appointed, in traditional features. Not my cup of tea but were comfortable however. Contrary to the online information, not every room has a safe, and the initial room […] we were provided did not have a safe so we had to change rooms. Also, our room did not have air conditioning, and when I enquired about this, I was told that there are only 5 or 6 rooms in the entire hotel that have air conditioning - I think this could be an issue in the summer months. Excellent indoor swimming pool. During our stay the outside pool was closed for maintenance, but the spa more than made up for that. All staff were v friendly and helpful.
