Terrible hotel,...staff members dont help at all, in special if they have problems with availability of rooms...you may sleep on the road. DONT STAY THERE!

I was here on business and my wife was along and stayed in a deluxe (?) Lanai room overlooking the pool. The staff were very helpful and met our requests. They did find a refrig and microwave for us but we did have to ask three times We were disappointed in the room in that the carpet needed cleaning badly and the mattress was starting to sag in the […] middle. When I mentioned this at check out the lady did apologize and said the room was scheduled for renovation soon. On Tuesday and Friday nights they have loud music until 10:30 pm by the pool and outdoor bar. So if you want to get to bed early - forget it! We flew out early Saturday morning so we had wanted to get to sleep early but that didn't happen. We looked at the rooms in the tower to see if that would be a better choice next time but those rooms actually were very plain and not as cozy as the Lanai and they cost more! While it wasn't a totally bad experience we will check out other places next time before deciding to return here. Skaityti daugiau

Overall I liked my stay pretty much except for the following issues. One problem I had was that the shower temperature moves around without control from hot to cold. This happens when the pluming is very old. I had a similar situation in Hotel Irazu in Costa Rica before they remodel all the rooms. On the other hand there were very small mosquitoes and […] roaches in the room.They need to fumigate. I had a room on the back side of the swimming pool and not in the main building. Staff was very dry, only a handful created a lasting impression. Room had ants all over bathroom and was outdated. Property was very beautiful but the staffs attitude took from its beauty.

hotel rooms need insulation,from noise you could hear people walking, having sex their radios etc..enjoyed the bar by the pool more than the room. room furniture is shabby for over $100 us per night..come on guys..I have stayed at cheaper hotels in the U,S with wayyyy better furniture.

If you need to go to Kingston for business or pleasure (north is much better for pleasure) then the Wyndham is a good value. Central location in the downtown district, good facilities.

Front desk staff is excellent. Restaurant servers are not good at all. Can easily walk away and not pay; They are in "lala" land! The definitely need to be trained or re-trained!

The service was great! The staff at the airport and the front desk were professional, polite and accommodating. The desk at the airport was a pleasant surprise. The room was clean but could do with some updating. We stayed on the executive floors and was greeted each morning by a pleasant and attentive server for breakfast. We really enjoyed our stay at the Wyndham Kingston. The rooms were amazingly comfortable and of high standard, despite the age of the hotel. Furthermore the rooms were very clean and everything was in working order. Suprisingly, despite the city location, the hotel has everything you would get in a resort all-inclusive hotel, the only thing we missed […] was the beach. The hotel has everything - resturants, 24 hour cafe, pool, hot tub, bar, free internet access, casino, spa, ATM, clothes store, convinience store, cable TV, beautiful views (from the tower rooms). The location is great - walking distance to food shops and clubs, gas station and Emancipation Park. My main complaint is the honesty of the bar staff - they had a tendency to not return your change after buying a drink. I don't mind tipping but they should not keep the change without prior permission. Also, I question how much we were charged for drinks - we were charged different prices for the same drink at different times and also the prices that we were charged for other drinks differed from that advertised in the menu. I have to say that the security is slightly lax - often many non-registered people around the pool side. And my last comment is for the staff in general - they really should try to smile more. Location is good and near to local shops, food places etc . Rooms are big and spacious, however had to move the coffee maker from the table as there were no eletric points nearby. Security at the hotel wasnt that impressive as there seem to let anyone off the street into the hotel without any questions. I didn't spend much extra time there. Just slept and showered. But the view was amazing and I enjoyed spending that time with my boyfriend there. Staff was friendly, welcoming, and gave a true ja vibe.

Was a very comfortable stay. Rooms was clean and bathroom was spotless. Staff was great and willing to please,since I had forgotten to request a refrigerator ,by day two upon my request one was given to me. The rooms were very nice. Most of the staff were very courteous and offered prompt services. The food is expensive. Eating at nearby restaurants makes food costs better. Overall, I had a great time and really enjoyed my stay. I definitely would return.

Room was not ready when I arrived however Nadja was extremely pleasant and helpful.They stored my stuff safely while I went for a walk in Emancipation Park. Room was very clean,carpet needs a little cleaning ,but overall I was impressed. Wifi is free in Lobby and Internet in the Room also free. The best part was the ladies at the Deli,they were excellent.I […] ended up eating 3 slices of the Cheesecake. The Rum and Raisin Cheesecake was the best. My wort experience was at the Green Market Restaurant.service is mediocre here,waiters don't even fill water on your table unless you ask for it. I am training for a major event, for this reason I book only hotels with gyms/fitness centers. There is a gym on the premises but what you are not told is that you have to pay extra in order to use the gym. The room were not very clean.

The young lady at the counter when I checked in was very unprofessional and I had to ask her how to get to the room. She was more interested in a personal conversation. Everyone else was wonderful, informative and helpfull.

I am very disappointed with my stay at the Wyndham. I was informed of the beauty and service of this hotel through friends in Jamaica, so I was eager to book reservations. I felt that our room was grossly overpriced. Our room was less than average room with a TV on a table, and a stale odor. When asked to see another room, we were shown a room, very […] much like the first one except it had a desk and a TV stand for an extra $100 per night. Definitely not worth it. The hotel is good for what it is, very centrally located and easy reach of most places within Kingston area. My one concern was that the hotel did not let guest know what was happening there at the hotel itself, sometimes it was only after we were returning from our own organised activities that on our return we notice something happening by the poolside […] etc. They could/should have given us a schedule of events at the hotel, we could decide if we wanted to stay in or go out. I am surprised that the Wyndham chain allows their name on this property. This is the second (and last...) time that I stay there. Too expensive for a room that should rate at no better than 2 stars. The first time I was by the pool and the room was small and "old". So I asked if they had newer rooms... they said "sure, just ask to stay at the Tower […] next time". Which I did, the room was larger but just as old. I have to say that the staff is very friendly, the pool area is nice also and there is a great Italian restaurant there. But beyond the lobby they have really invested NO money in up keeping this hotel. I even went as far as to ask to see their Executive Suites... large TV but otherwise no difference otherwise. The walls are thin, the pool is mystifyingly murky, the cost of a buffet drives you to eat elsewhere, mosquitoes enjoy the guess visits as much as the local vendors (would screens on the doors leading to the balcony/veranda be asking too much), last but not least my tub appeared to be a prop in the psycho movies - dare I ask refinish the tub.

Waking up the first morning to a roach in the room, returned to the hotel after business meeting and found the ceiling tiles over the bathroom tub caved in to the floor, asked for another room and instead was asked to wait while they fixed it and cleaned it up so i was not able to come in to my room meanwhile. I've stayed here before, it used to be a tip flight hotel, but no upkeep for years. For example, 2 burnt through cigerette holes in the blanket. Everything looks worn. What it has going for it is that it's in a great location for Kingston. Also it has a great pool and pool deck. But the pool is dirty. The staff was nice. I have stayed here a couple of times. Staff is excellent; breakfast is fantastic, but the rooms are kinf of old, especially the ones not in the main tower; next to the pool area. The carpets of these rooms need to be replaced - some areas even torned!. So.. if they coudl update some of the rooms would be great.

Air conditioning primitive & noisy. Water leaking from bottom of toilet bowl. Bathroom soaps/shampoo/conditioner etc never renewed. Breakfast buffet OK but very limited menu. Exchange rate differential excessive.

I was very disappointed with the hotel room. It was very old, furnitures were damaged, the bed was very uncomfortable and the matress was bend towards the middle of the bed and it made very uncomfortable to sleep on it. Bathroom was badly damage and old, sink was cracked, bathtub was showing dirt and old age. Overall the rooms need to be refurbished. […] The view from the hotel room was directly at the car parking, what a view, we could not enjoy sitting at our balcony at all. The staffs and the hotel in general was great, however the guesthouse where I actually stayed was a bit disappointing. It was clean and comfortable but my problem was with the furnishings, and the adjoining door to my room. One could see that the furnitures are outdated but more importantly all of the drawers were malfunction and difficult to open and […] close. My main problem was with an adjoining room that was not properly secured before I occupied the room, I had to call the desk in to get someone to fix some temporary screws to bolt my side of the room before I was able to leave my room, it was a little tacky and inconvienient other than that my stay was very good, I enjoyed the everything else and I would stay there again, but next time I will try to stay in the main hotel which I am sure is better.
