The hotel is typically HIE. Room 347- skirting boards missing. Noise from other rooms and hallway v v loud. Woken by noise from neighbouring bathrooms not pleasant! Area surrounding was cluttered with Rubbish . Info about public transport and a local map would be useful.

My wife, 5 year old son, 23 month old daughter and I had a wonderful stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Belfast. The room was comfortable and the service was great. We would definitely recommend this hotel and will hopefully be back the next time we are in Belfast.

Overnight stay while at a concert in Belfast. Very convenient location-within walkiing distance of city centre. Safe place to park your vehicle. Reasonably comfortable hotel and quite close to the "Titanic" exhibition. Very good value as full breakfast was included in price, which few other hotels provided. If it is just a good bed that is your priority, then this hotel is a very good choice, especially with breakfast.

Up to attend concert and stayed for weekend with husband and teenage daughter. Found hotel basic but clean and very central to restaurants, cinema and city center. Breakfast in Hotel was self-service and reasonable.

Location close to University Belfast and not too far from Botanic Avenue where you can get the restaurants and pubs.

Not an ideal place to stay. Empty houses boarded up directly to the left and right of the hotel, not a friendly estate and rooms are not that private think we could hear 5 different convos from other rooms. Not to mention trying to sleep when people came in intoxicated.

Great hotel when your on the go. Doesn't have a great lunch menu or bar. But often that's not what you want! Great comfortable clean rooms, good location to many restaurants and shops. Stay here all the time they also do a great breakfast

There is nothing particularly special not poor about this hotel. Rooms are spacious and comfy with a modern feel, and this feel extends to the bar area. The complementary breakfast was the highlight.

Planned on staying for one night just to get away from home and enjoyed it so much we booked in for a second night which was unplanned! Staff are lovely rooms were nice and clean parking is handy! Might go back this weekend

Very helpful staff & excellent food - both the breakfasts & evening meals. The rooms were very comfortable & being offered a connecting room with our friends made the stay so much better.

First time we stay in this hotel, staff very helpfull but bar man he don't have knowledge about drinks I asked for drink n should serve with lemonade but he gave me slice of lemon n glass of water :( after that we went to hotel room n room was nice but we don't like their Bed, bcoz it was too soft n my girlfriend couldn't sleep all night n got back […] pain. Once inside the hotel was excellent. The restaurant menu did not offer much and nor was it upto scratch. You have to hire a taxi to get to the town centre. You can walk but the surroundings do not seem to be the safest. A lot of boarded up buildings nearby give an overall ominous look to the area.

We took the kids to Belfast for new year to see all the sights including a trip to Giants Causeway. I booked two adjoining rooms and was very impressed given what it cost for two nights. On Christmas Eve we stayed at the Holiday Inn Express at Earls Court but here the rooms were bigger, the service better and the breakfast buffet was awesome being extensive […] and good quaility. On the plus side, the hotel staff was friendly, the facility is modern, the lobby and lounge were quite nice; and, it's an American thing, but I appreciated the ice machine.On the negative side, the rooms are extremely small-you couldn't pull out the sofa bed and use the desk at the same time.The sights that we wanted to see and the pubs were not within […] walking distance; we had to drive or take a taxi. The biggest minus was the extra charge placed on my credit card. Even though I paid in full for the room when I made the reservation, they place an additional charge (I think it was 15 pounds per night) which stays on your card for 30 days, just in case you incur additional charges. I would highly recommend this hotel. The staff are very pleasant, rooms are good & the shower is amazing! About 15 minute walk from city centre but taxis are very reasonable in Belfast. Will stay here again when I return.

We make regular visits to Belfast and have stayed in various hotels around the city. On paper this isn't the cheapest hotel but it suits our needs, the price includes breakfast and when comfort, atmosphere, location, etc, etc, are taken into account, we find Holiday Inn Express to be the best value for money. Have come to the conclusion that it's not only the building but the staff who make an hotel. We were 3 adults in one room (which we requested). However the sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable. Only 2 cups in the room and only 2 bath towels when there were 3 people sharing the room. We only found out that the hairdryer did not work after one of us washed our hair. We left a restaurant to have our coffee back at the hotel except the machine […] was not working at the bar. We were kept awake for an hour by young adults shouting and screaming in the corridors on Saturday night. On a more positive note, the breakfasts were great, bedrooms clean and staff very friendly. I booked the hotel as I was visit Belfast with my fiance to celebrate his 40th Birthday ( a returning soldier). The hotel was well-kept and within walking distance of the city centre. I was unhappy about the fact that the hotel had no adapters at all for European plugs, so I could not use my computer during my stay.

Criteria for choosing this hotel was secure and free parking, cooked breakfast and proximity to Odyssey Arena. Parking location was indeed secure. Hotel was quiet, and room furnishings looked pretty new. Bed was comfortable. Local restaurants were a short walk away. This was not my first time to stay in this hotel. It is convenient, well staffed,comfortable rooms, a good breakfast (although I would like either mushrooms or tomatoes with my cooked breakfast). Booking in is straightforward as is booking out. Car park secure so no worries there. All in all we had no complaints and will definitely return.

I was put in a room for disabled use which meant that the shower was meant for use in a seated position. That I could live with, but the bed was very lumpy and you could feel the springs through the sheets. It felt like a very cheap matress. Other than this the rest of it was good, food, staff, parking.

The Hotel room was too hot with no way to turn down or off the radiator. Requests to staff were unsatisfactory. Ended up leaving a window wide open. Such a waste of energy. Otherwise adequate.

Excellent and helpful staff, good buffet breakfast. Secure and guaranteed parking space was a must-have which was why we booked this hotel.

Somewhat basic overall and a rather brightly lit utilitarian entrance area which was the bar, reception and breakfast room all rolled into one. Delightful staff who could not have been more helpful. We very much enjoyed our stay in this Holiday Inn. On the positive side the breakfast was superb, the staff were helpful and the location was ideal. It is approx 15 mins walk to the city centre but there is also a regular bus service (bus no. 7a and 7b) which pass nearby the hotel. The room was clean but basic. The bathroom and shower were excellent. […] We had a sofa bed in our room for our daughter which was very uncomfortable but as the title says you get what you pay for!! The biggest problem we found with this hotel was the parking. Yes, it on site and yes it is free but it involves driving extremely narrow ramps to park, definitely not for the faint hearted!! We did not eat in the hotel in the evening as the surrounding area has a variety of different types of restaurants including chip shops, chinese etc... The staff at the hotel were really helpful - even printed out our boarding cards for the return flight. The mattress was really soft and needed replacing resulting in a stiff back. Also there was a stag night staying in the hotel on the saturday night. They returned very noisy about 3.30am and were really noisy - singing and banging doors for ages.
