TownePlace Suites by Marriott Baton Rouge South - Baton Ružas

Clean rooms, very nice finishes (granite countertops, nice appliances, full fridge), and fairly quiet as well. The neighborhood was also quiet, with the exception of a few ambulances from the nearby hospital. Very friendly staff. Overall, nice, modern, absolutely would try to stay here again if anywhere in the vicinity.

The beds are horrible but the front desk staff is nice and helpful. Housekeeping leaves much to be desired. Close to everything which is also good for short stay.

Everything was wonderful. The only problem was the steps were next to our room and people were running up and down the steps. I also heard jumping on the top room.

The room was great. We loved the kitchen which had all te dishes needed to prepare and eat meal. We will choose this hotel again.

The best thing about this hotel was the reception staff! They were welcoming, knowledgable and fun. They were able to give us info about local restaurants, within walking distance. The hotel itself was very well maintained, our room had a fully fitted kitchen and was very comfortable. Breakfast was available in the morning, it was called a "grab and […] go" meal. We were pleasantly surprised when we were able to check in early. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. They also upgraded us to a two-bedroom suite at no extra charge. The room was comfortable, however, I did notice a layer of dust on the clock radio when I went to set the alarm. When we returned to the room on the second day of our […] stay the beds were made but nothing else seemed to have been done. There was still garbage in the garbage cans, dishes in the sink and hair in the bathtub. The hotel is walking distance to the Mall of Louisiana and the neighbourhood felt very safe for two women with no vehicle. My major complaint was I didn't get the two bedroom suite I requested. The hotel over booked those rooms which was an inconvenient to me and my family. If I pay to reserve a certain type room , that is what I expect to get. If the hotel can not accommodate my request I should know this before I get there to check in.

I could not get over how exceptionally clean the room was, the quiet atmosphere, and the friendliness of the staff. I really was impressed. I have stayed in different places and this far goes all expectations I had. I enjoyed staying here. I hope to be in town again, and I will stay again. Thank You so Much for the Enjoyable Stay

Clean and comfortable but felt outdated. I had the two bedroom and more than enough room, but the living room would be tight for a family. Bathroom was small and not connected to bedroom. Being by myself, no big deal, but something to keep in mind if traveling with others.

Very comfortable and clean hotel. Service was great. Hotel is located very close to the mall of louisiana for shopping and a good choice of restaurants. The kitchen area is a nice touch that while not needed for most travelers, is nice for those on a business trip or family vacation. Will def. be staying at this hotel again.

The room was clean and had a full kitchen and with a comfortablle queen sized bed. All that my wife needed after a day of tailgating at the LSU Game. The location is only right across the street from the new Baton Rouge General and would be ideal to stay for those needing to be near the hospital. It is only a few blocks from Essen Lane which has many […] food choices with many restaruants close by. The only thing I thought could be improved was having a larger breakfast area were you could actually sit and eat near the lobby. Currently it is really just a pickup area for coffee or juice and a danish to be brought up to your room. Everyone working there was courteous and friendly. This property was in well kept condition and the hotel staff that I spoke with were very kind and seemed concerned about our stay. The pool and hot tub were in good shape. The hot tub jet system seemed to have an air-leak causing the tub to fill with white (over oxygenated) water, but it didn't affect the function, just the appearance of the water. I […] found one door that needed to have the door handle repaired. The loose handle made it difficult to open unless you held it in the center and then use your door key to open it. The only real complaint was that a Youth baseball team was staying the same weekend. The kids weren't bad, but the parents decided to have a party in the parking lot until after midnight.
