Best Western Plus ClockTower Inn - Billings

My first time to Billings, and it was not a pleasant one. The hotel is in a sketchy area to say the least. Wi-fi was not working, and I heard every footstep from the second floor above.

The Clocktower is convenient to downtown Billings, and reasonable in cost. The breakfast restaurant next door, Stella's is okay, but not great, despite the locals saying it's a great place for breakfast - we found it adequate, albeit somewhat slow, nothing great about it.

After the poor customer service I received during my attempt to check in, I will never use this hotel and perhaps any other hotel associated with the chain again. I will not go I to the details, nor name names, but the receptionist I had the misfortune of dealing with should be FIRED!!!!!

This is a great hotel and close to what is an increasingly vibrant downtown in Billings. The staff and their service were excellent. Stella's is a popular restaurant that serves delicious food in very generous portions. The location was PERFECT. The start line to the race was "right there". Ideal stay for the Montana Women's Run. The shower in our room had 2 shower heads, this was amazing for a post race shower.

This Best Western was not good. It was very hard to find. The front desk staff was not very accommodating. I asked for a room close to the laundry and was put about as far away from it as possible.

Parking is a little challenging, but breakfast at Stella's makes up for it! Rooms were clean and hotel staff was welcoming.

Everything went fine until some drunk women began arguing with management in the middle of the night right outside our room. When I told the desk clerk the next morning that I was very displeased with the incident she seemed less that concerned and walked to the back room with a "sorry" as she walked away.

Overall hotel was clean, & nice. Pet friendly was a plus! Biggest downside was the VERY small room.

Front desk staff was friendly and accommodating. It is a pet friendly hotel and provided treats for our dogs. Room was ok, stained carpet spots but otherwise pretty tidy. Stella's Restuarant is close by and has pretty good food. The main draw back would be noise disturbances.

I loved how they provided a welcome letter and water bowl for our dog and even some treats! They also donate part of our pet fee to a local organization for homeless animals. I thought it was great. Our room was great. The TV was really slow when changing channels.

The Front Desk went above and beyond our expectations. They had a shuttle take us to our event and bring us back to the hotel. They even made reservations for us at the restaurant we were eating at that evening. It was the best service I have ever had! Room was very clean. I plan to stay there every time I am in Billings.

Convenient downtown location. Friendly and helpful staff. Very clean! Could use new carpeting in room. Convenient breakfast and lunch spot next door. Had trouble with key to door on more than one occasion.

I loved my room! I stayed at Best Western to visit Rocky Mountain College. The staff was super friendly, gave me great suggestions on where to eat., they even upgraded me to a Business King! LOVED the shower! Everything looked new or at least updated and was very clean. They also have free shuttle service (I just tipped the drivers) because the local […] taxi companies are very unreliable. They were very accommodating! They offered complimentary boutique toilettries. There are several restaurants within walking distance (just "downtown" prices). The hotels itself was a real gem! I would stay there again! Pros: Room was clean, TV had lots of channels. Manager nice. Staff busy but polite. If you have pets probably an ok motel to stay at. Cons: Very noisy. Could hear everything my neighbors said. Try to avoid a bottom-floor room as there doesn't seem to be any noise-dampening in the construction. Could not use gym facilities because they let dogs run […] freely through them. Spent the whole night listening to dogs using the "doggy potty" facilities due to room location. Sent back an item I left COD, without asking me my shipping preference; I got charged 4x what it should have cost to ship due to their "brilliant" choice in shipping packaging. Had a Non-Smoking room and there were cigarette burns on the carpet and the room smelled of stale cigarette smoke. While on the phone in the room, housekeeping knocked on the door and before I could answer or even get up from the bed they opened the door and said they were checking to see if the room had been made up. In order to get to the room I had […] to go up the stairwell and even though the temperature was moderate the stairwell smelled of urine. Even early in the morning and late at night the smell was very overbearing. The room was real small but comfortable. Whenever the toilet was flushed or the shower was run there was this loud clicking noise that went on for a minute or two after the water was turned off. This also included the sink. Staff was nice and helpful. Room was fine for the price. Easy location to get to, fairly close to airport. The best part was the next door cafe, Stellas. Best breakfast I have ever had. Several good restaurants/brewery in walking distance that give discounts to motel guests. The negatives were: noisy heating/air conditioner, parking crowded.

we had traveled 14 hrs in our car returning home; were fatigued, hungry- road weary...check in clerk was most helpful with recommendations for dinner, very pleasant young man...room very quiet, clean and morning checkout once again very pleasant...will stay again when in that area...

Very noisy rooms both from the the AC/Heaters, thin walls and lots of noisy guests in the early AM. Rooms are in great and clean shape! Location is great for Billings.

Nice hotel overall. Very clean and comfortable. Distance from parking to room was TOO far when I arrived at midnight with a toddler. Despite asking for a room with easy access, it took me nearly 15 mins to take the pack and play and luggage from the truck to the room ( up a flight of stairs, across a parking lot and up an elevator ). We felt the hotel was not accurate in it's description. The beds were very uncomfortable, the rooms were very small, the shower had mold around the edge of the tub and surround, and the parking was very difficult. We did complain about the lack of cleanliness in the bathroom and they gave us another room that did not have mold in the shower, but it […] was still very small, old, and uncomfortable. Friendly staff, bed was comfortable and amenities in the room were fairly typically of this type of hotel. The building was a bit scruffy on the outside generally speaking but the room was very clean and comfortable and the free wi-fi, parking & airport shuttle were all nice to have.

It was not unpleasant; however, the paper thin walls made it seem as though our neighbors were in the room with us and the window blinds were antiquated. This place could use some sprucing up and added insulation.

This is a downtown Billing motel in the Billings business district. Older style built around a parking courtyard with outdoor entry to the rooms. Two-story with no elevator. Desk staff readily offered luggage assistance if needed. All was a bit dated but in good condition and very clean. A breakfast discount is offered at a well rated restaurant right […] next to the motel. Desk staff was very helpful in identifying nearby restaurants, most within 2-3 blocks of the hotel. We chose Walkers, a somewhat upscale place with great food and service, a pleasant surprise in a community this size. We were comfortable walking the area after dark. It seemed very safe. The staff was really nice. All of the entrances are outdoors and the parking was really tight. The walls were thin, but the rooms were clean and comfortable. Everything worked well, even the iron! The location was great too, walking distance to down town. I would stay here again.

They have the most comfortable mattresses ever! It's an older hotel, but they obviously bought all new mattresses recently. Great location downtown near Starbucks. Parking was tight but available. It's not swanky, but it is clean and...did I mention the beds are awesome? I slept like a baby. Thanks, Expedia!!

The motel does not offer continental breakfast, which is disappointing. If you are driving a full-size pick-up, be warned that the parking is extremely tight and unless you have excellent depth perception and are comfortable maneuvering in tight spaces, the parking lot at this motel will stress you out. The rooms were very nice, just like most other hotels. The best thing about the hotel was the nicest and most friendly, helpful staff. We had a meeting room that was just wonderful and again the staff could not have been nicer to work with. Room was nice, clean, well appointed. Had mini fridge, but no microwave or way to heat up food. Neighborhood wasn't the best (homeless mission across the street, bus station next door). Entrance to rooms outside, no elevator. Not great for families with kids, especially little ones. Nice for single or couple travelers.
