A harbour since 1673, Nyhavn is Copenhagen's main tourist draw, home to the sprawling Amalienborg Palace (four palaces in all), the Danish royal family's winter home. Bustling Kongens Nytorv is the starting point for many canal tours and the location of summer festivals. It is packed most afternoons and evenings, and lined with colourful tradesmen houses, outdoor restaurants and bars. The Kastellet is 500 metres from Nyhavn.

I spend 5-6 days in CPH for international conference. This hotel was very nice location. It 5 min walk to nearest Metro station (Kong Knytrov). also, they have bus stop only 1-2 min walk to hotel. Best Western Hotel City is only a 10-min walk to the Stroget, the main shopping area in Copenhagen, and a 6-min walk from Kongens Nytorv, where a metro is located and which is a only short distance from Nyhavn. Nyhavn is the harbour for small boats and tours of the canals of Copenhagen. It is also very close to the Amalienborg Palace. So, the location […] of the hotel is excellent. Other than that, the other main feature is that we were always able to return to a warm room during the wintry weather of the 1st few days of Apr. The bathroom and room were very clean; front desk was very helpful with directions and nearby retaurants to eat; breakfast was filling and healthy, comprising muesli and oats though without frills of nuts and accompaniments; the std bacon, sausage and scrambled eggs; yoghurt and fruits. The hotel also has a number of bicycles, presumably for rental, parked in front. In short, my hubby and I had a very comfortable stay. "Great hotel, great deal, great location"
Stayed 3 nights at the Best Western Hotel City in Copenhagen, with a great deal through Hotels.com (which is a big deal because Copenhagen is a very expensive city). Centrally located, friendly staff, and a great breakfast buffet. Highly recommended.
The breakfast buffet was lovely! The hotel staff was helpful and location very practical.

stayed here early february 2012. location very good, 10mins from metro, direct route from airport. 10mins from nyhaven etc. Hotel good, rooms not massive but adequate, on arrival a bit of a drain smell in bathroom, but soon disappeared. Heating very good, so much so that in the middle of the night we had to open the window as we had wound the radiator […] up to half way, it was -12C outside. The breakfast was good but the sausage/egg/bacon needed to be kept hotter. 1 hour after start of breakfast they were barely warm!!! overall i would definately recommend and happily go back. I absolutely LOVED this hotel. I traveled by myself to Copenhagen and this worked out perfectly. The room was exceptionally clean. Hotel location is very good, in the City Center and close to Local attractions. If you bring your car, get ready to pay USD 60 per day in the Street or USD 80 per day in a Public Parking. Rooms are average size for Europe, breakfast ?included₧ is sufficient and good quality. People at front desk are helpful. Good Restaurants around the Hotel.
Nice hotel in a convenient area. Steps to Nyhaven and short walk to Stroget. Great buffet breakfast. Rooms are nice and clean. Free wifi and two computers available for free internet use. Friendly staff.

This was my second business stay at the City. Pluses: friendly and capable staff, excellent location near the center and just a few blocks from Nyhaven - arguably the best people watching area in Europe. Free internet. Very attractive common areas and spectacular photos of jazz greats in the rooms. A nice breakfast though I thought it had slipped a […] little compared to last time. The hotel made the 2011 Michelin guide and was very busy which may explain the breakfast. Minuses: pet friendly rooms (sorry dog lovers, not everyone is); mine smelled pretty doggy when I arrived and cleanliness was just average. My single was European in flavor and size - if you're looking for an American style room, this is not your hotel. Caution: no air conditioning but the windows open. The hotel was extremely hot, with no air flow. Our rooms smelled horrible. We were supposed to have 2 rooms side by side because we had children. The original rooms were very far apart. Breakfast was excellent!

I was in Copenhagen for business. I had a rental car and had to use neighborhood parking which wasn't too bad. I had to park about 2 blocks away. That was the only real negative here. "Best Western City Centre was too far from Tivoli"
and the rental car agencies etc. Near Nyhaven but beeing near Tivoli would have been far better. Shower was miniscule. A pentagon with irregular sides - 31 1/2 inches at the widest spot. No saddle. Hall was 31 1/2 inches wide. Pillows were bad. Breakfast w asgood. Staff was friendly and helpful.

As with all European hotels, the room is small and bathroom also small. Breakfast was very good, the best we had in Scandanavia. Location was very, very good.....just a few blocks from Nyhavn and all the good restaurants.

Convenient location for sightseeing as it is within walking distance of most places including the start off point for river cruises. Hotel was fairly basic but perfectly adequate for a short stay.

This Hotel was a good choice for location it was within easy walking distance from all the places of interest. The rooms were clean and comfortable and we were made very welcome. I spent a very pleasant five-night stay in the Best Western City Hotel in Copenhagen. The hotel was spotless and from its central location it was possible to visit all of the major tourist attractions on foot. "Great location and staff"
The staff at this hotel were amazing. Some of the nicest people I have ever dealt with. They allowed us to keep our baby's milk in their bar freezer (there are no fridges in the rooms), they ensured we had a room big enough for a baby cot (which was provided free of charge), and they were very friendly. Great location, clean, and great staff.
