We booked this for a last minute New Year's Eve getaway, and with our prior experiences with Novotel hotels, I had high expectations. I reserved two "superior" rooms, and there was very little that was superior about them. The rooms were very small; space only for the double bed and the sofa bed when extended. During our stay my room key deactivated, […] and I called the front desk from my room twice and got no answer. I then went down to the front desk during (non-peak) evening hours to see if they could reactivate it, and after waiting over 15 minutes with no service, I gave up and left. Parking is not included, the breakfast is not worth it (we hit the bakeries on the way to the train station), the nearest (transilian) train station is at least a 10 min brisk walk, and the nearest major (RER C) is more of a 20-30 min walk. While they did a good job cleaning up after my kids, and the hotel is not too far from Versailles Palace, we will not be staying here again. Skaityti daugiau

It was brilliant. Easy to locate. Not far from the center of Paris. The only problem was the basement- parking a little bit narrow. But safety wise was excellent. The staff was brilliant. I can recommend it to my friend.

People in the reception was so unfriendly and did not welcome people. I have booked the room with 2 bed and one sofa and he gave me the room with one bed with one sofa without any explanation. The service in the restuarant in the hotel was worse ever. One of meal was not served in time without any explanation again and came out when others finisehd […] the dinner. Following day, cleaning lady saw me when I was going to catch an elevator and did not stop and closed the door and left. I've got adoptors for laptop from reception, but did not work for several times. I have asked reception to bring one to room as I was wearing pajama, but she refused as she said she was by herself in the reception. I went down after changing the clothes and there were two. In overrall, it is definetly not 4 star hotel and service need to be improved desperately if they want to claim it as 4 star. I would say it is 2 star hotel. Skaityti daugiau

The bed was comfortable in this hotel. However, the shower curtain rail was insecure and repeatedly fell down, revealing it to be not a permanent fixture but instead no more than a simple extendable pole that you can extend yourself and twist to tighten. I shared a twin room and we hung up separate towels to use again but these were put back in a different […] place by cleaning staff so it was not possible to tell whose towel was whose. I did not find the reception staff particularly welcoming. The restaurant served "chopped steak", which was a very dry, tasteless and overcooked (despite asking for "medium") portion of minced beef with chips but no sauce or dressing. It was the least good meal I can ever remember having in France. A colleague cancelled her dish as they served it 15 minutes late after the rest of us had nearly finished. However, they were sorry for this and did not charge us for the food - only for the drinks. After this we did not dare to have the buffet breakfast for 15 euros or the "city" breakfast (1 croissant and a cup of coffee) for 8 euros. There is a good cafe across the road where a croissant is 1 euro. The hotel is about 20 minutes' walk from the palace. Sadly, I cannot recommend this hotel and I would not stay in it again. This hotel is 'near' the Versailles Palace, however for a visit to the the Palace you will either need to walk about 25 minutes, or take a bus line which is near the hotel. While you can visit Paris for a day trip from this location it will involve taking the RER line into Paris, which is reached either by walking or using the same bus line. You will […] spend a bit of time commuting. You can also make arrangements for taxis. The hotel itself is clean, and the staff helpful. I messed up my addresses and booked this hotel by accident. It is a fine place ... but a VERY long walk to the Palace and the train stations.

A fantastic base from which to visit Versailles as the palace was only 15 minutes walk away. The staff were friendly and helpful and the family room we had was more than adequate for our needs. The staff was non interested but they did their job well. The hotel was clean and the rooms were very nice. The breakfast was wonderful. I wish there had been a closer Metro. We had to walk about a mile there and then home each night after a full day in the city.

The hotel was fine, a 15 minute walk to Versailles, clean, just what I had expected. The front desk staff explained everything to us well, I forget if they did in French or English, either way we understood. We really enjoyed our stay in Versailles. You need every minute of a day to see it all. At the end of the day, having a safe, clean room makes […] the experience even better. We did not eat at the restaurant so I cannot comment. Very good, clean, modern hotel, with friendly and helpful reception staff. Secure underground car park is very convenient, but costs extra 12 euros per night. Hotel is quite a long walk from the RER station to get the train into central Paris if you are on a sight-seeing trip.

Not up to the usual Novotel standard. Room poorly fitted out, airconditioning below par as were room service meals, hanging space for clothes almost non-existent. One or two staff members helpful, others hard to find. Well away from cafe strip.

I enjoyed my time at the hotel. The only issue was that travelling to the hotel from Central Paris at night was an issue. Otherwise, it was an amazing experience. My room was super comfy and there were nice facilities such as XBox 360 console to burn extra time.

Very nice, big rooms with bathtub. Good breakfast. Would not recommend walking from the SNCF station unless you know the way... :)

OK and relatively close to the Palais Versailles. Room is OK, but breakfast is quite pricey! Good bakery/supermarket just around the corner

Family of four, we liked this hotel. Some of the features were very basic but the staff were friendly. The restaurant was nice. The bar was nice. We would recommend it.

This hotel is reasonably close if you are taking a family holiday in a car. It has parking at 11E per night and it is 13miles from central Paris or 40 miles from Disney land. If you have a good sat nav, it's ok. Otherways if you travel by traing and metro, do not go there. We had booked a Superior with one double and two singles and got two double beds. Negatives: Hairdryer caught fire while we were using it. Hotel did not send anybody to check it out. Next night electricity in our room was out, and apparently had been for the day while we were out since the items we had placed in the mini bar were all warm and room […] was ice cold. Window leaked, floor wet in morning and constant traffic noise all night. Not that we rested that much, because I was afraid the hotel was going to catch fire and burn us alive. Nice and welcoming hotel close enough to the Chateau but off the tourist trail. Ideal if you travel with kids or are looking for a quiet place. This being said, be prepared to walk as there are very few restaurantsin the immediate vicinity and the closest RER station is 20 minutes walk

Nice clean hotel, minutes from the sights of Versailles for a very reasonable rate on Christmas Day... Clean and well presented with free wifi and underground parking, just what was required. Will stay again.

Good clean hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Good value for money. The walk to the chateau is 15 mins but Bus B which stops across the street takes you there in 5 mins.

A friendly, helpful service. We were originally allocated a smoking room by mistake. Despite a full hotel, they managed to switch us. We eat in the hotel restaurant once and this was reasonably priced and good. We were lucky to find parking directly outside the hotel, which was free. At this time of the year (October), it would probably have been possible […] to find parking on the street. Our only negative comment would be that we were situated near the lift and we could hear the mechanism working from early in the morning. A nice hotel, about a ten to fifteen minute walk to the Chateau. The staff were friendly and helpfull, we had asked for a late check-out due to taking part in the Paris to Versallies road race and wanted to come back for a shower, which they did with no extra cost so 10/10. Comfortable and clean room and plenty of space. The only blip was at the restaurant […] the meal was poor, after complianing they had offered us another meal, or not charging us for it. Surprisingly good hotel, especially considering location that this is within short walking distance (only 5-7 min) from Chateu de Versailles, 5 min from main restaurants and vibrant market place - Place du Marche Notre-Dame. Rooms are O.K. have stayed only for 1 night and from outside at 1st it did not look promissing, but inside is a different story […] - nice and clean, modern; most of the things what you would expect from nowadays modern hotel were in place and in orer. Clean and tidy, quite relaxed atmosphere... The only thing I did not enjoy was breakfast - to get it in the restaurant on time, you will have to be quite early hence if you are on holiday make sure you have an early night sleep :))) Breakfast in the restaurant ends at aprox. 10 am. By the way barman and other staff were quite helpfull in most cases; we were late for breakfast - did not get it in full, but at least got smth. We have been looked quite well in the evening S. Prevost - very nice and helpful barman. In my opinion worth considering him being mentioned to the management team of the Hotel as a real gentleman knowing when mistakes are being made and most importantly knowing how to rectify them, look well after customers. Very comfortable family friendly hotel with excellent restaurant and in-room menu choices for adults and children. Staff very helpful and attentive to children especially. Secure parking overnight a little pricey. Very good package via hotels.com. And on top of that 20 mins walk to Chateau.

We booked this hotel as an overnight on our way to the ferry from Cannes due to massive traffic jams we were running late. Called the hotel to say we would be late - whoever answered phone had no idea what I was saying and put phone down on me! We arrived in the area at 12.30 with the full adress in sat nav! We went round in circles for half hour! Girl […] on reception answered the phone in the middle of checking us in and wr just had to stand there while she dealt with call. Room ok basic but bed and put you bed comfy! Called to order food and ask for extra pillows person had no idea what I was saying and said he would come to the room! Bought pillows but reluctant to leave them - no pillowcases - explained we wanted soup and bread from menu available all the time! Not possible - on his own on whole hotel - could not do food! The hotel was an easy walk to Versailles and to restaurants. The staff was extremely helpful when we inquired about where to eat and the best train to take back to Paris.

...if you travel by car. We stayed one night following visit to Chateau. Wouldn't use it as a base for Paris visit. There is nothing else going on near the hotel so you have to eat there really. Restaurant OK but not cheap. Restaurant staff very good.

Lower your expectations and lower them again. The only rewarding aspect of this hotel is that it is within a 15-20 minute walk of the Chateau. The customer service was a huge disappointment. We requested pillows and had to call a second time for them. It took about 3 hours before they delivered them - they were befuddled as to why we couldn't suffice […] with 1 pillow per person. Also there was 3 of us and they only supplied 2 towels. Had to call for those as well. They appeared after an hour of waiting. We went to the hotel bar to have a drink and the bartender disappeared. Had to ask 3 times for service at the reception desk. We couldn't place an order for a charcuterie and went out to bring something in. Ate it there and then was told that wasn't allowed after they didn't offer us any service! If you're looking for a Motel 6 experience for big bucks, book here. If I had it to do over again, I would splurge and book at the Waldorf Astoria. Go ahead, lower your expectations one more time. Skaityti daugiau

Everything about the hotel was great. When we checked out, the front desk called a taxi for us. The local custom in Versailles apparently is that the taxi meter starts the minute you say "bon jour" to the driver. Since our taxi was stuck behind a hotel vendor in a one lane driveway, we accrued close to 10 euro before moving an inch. My travel mate who […] spoke beautiful French complained to the desk. We left for the train, and the cabbie didn't charge us for our bags because of the wait. By the time I fired up the Internet at our next stop later that day, I had an email from hotels.com that the Novotel manager had been in touch and wanted to refund me the 10 euro, would I please call him. Excellent in every way. Staff very accomodating and helpful. Have recently stayed at other Novotels around Europe and have found the pattern of service and excellent accomodations to be a reason to stay at others as we travel Europe.

Good overnight hotel. A good 20 minute walk to Versailles Palace and 25 minutes to the 'left bank' railway station, so not as convenient as I thought when I booked it. However excellent, quick check in and check out. Food not tested. Comfy bed and sofabed. Easy place to find by road.

Our only complaint (which was quickly remedied) was that part of the baby bed we asked for was broken. Within 10 minutes of the call to the reception, a new bed was brought to the room. The staff is very, very good. I speak some french, so attempted it with them, but when it was obvious I was struggling, they just spoke in English. The food in the […] resteraunt is OK. It's good for when you don't feel like going out, but there are better places in Versailles and Paris to eat. We had two children with us and they were very quick to serve the meals so that the children would not become too impatient. Also, the small play area they have in the (very large) lobby is great. They also have graphic novels (bande dessine) to read. There are giant squishy chairs in the lobby that are so inviting to sit in! For the size of the room, I found it a little expensive, but when you factor in the proximity to both the Chateau de Versailles and the train station (Rive Droite), it was acceptable. As a foreigner traveling in France, this was my third day with a car and GPS, but this hotel was really difficult to find. I ended up parking my car and walking around to find it. Then, the parking garage was a "blast." I decided that once I got the car in the garage, I wasn't leaving. Luckily, I had visited Versaille prior to checking in. Check in was efficient. One of the two rooms booked was supposed to have two single beds which it did not and that was a little disappointing. Parking was extra which we did not expect but also forgot to ask about when we booked. Drinks in the bar were also expensive as was coffee the next morningbut that is what you expect in a tourist area. Room was […] clean.
