Super 8 Edmonton South - Edmontonas

Overall, the hotel is small but very convieniently located on Gateway Blvd in the south. I do all my shopping in South Commons so I love this area. It's also next to a gas station, next to a bowling alley, right next to dennys, close to Canadian Tire and Walmart. The one unenjoyable thing I have to admit is that the beds are a tad bit uncomfortable-my […] back hurt in the morning. And they do allow pets..but PET OWNERS BEWARE..they expect you to stay with your pet at all times. That's obviously not convienient for anyone as the summer heat (and your pet in the car while you shop) is not a desirable situation. So just know that before going here because it doesn't say that on this site. :) I didn't try the continental breakfast but there is one! We had a good time with our kids at the pool and the front desk staff was very friendly.

I loved the facilities but I made a mistake with parking & had my truck towed because I parked in the wrong place

The staff was friendly, and the kids loved the pool, but the room and bathroom were below par compared to other Super 8 hotels. The toilet and wash basin both seemed to be clogged and were draining very slowly. Other than that the location is pretty decent if you have work in the South side of Edmonton, or even downtown.

The stay was very good clean hotel. I had a few problems and some was fixed others were ignored :( It was nice location. Near lots of shopping centres. Kids loved the swimming pool with waterslide. Hot tub is a little 2 small. Breakfast was good.

Room was cold, not enough covers on the bed. Continental breakfast was very basic and orange juice tasted watered down.

Hotel is showing it's age. Beds have few covers which is chilly during the Edmonton winter. Breakfast is very basic continental.

Need a hotel that allowed dogs. Was pretty good, the carpets were in process of being replaced.

more care could be taken in vacuuming; very dirty behind furniture (furniture is out from the walls enough that you can't help but see all the dust and dirt). Light bulbs burnt out in bathroom. Took dirty towels away, but didn't leave any clean ones. I found this hotel to be a great place to stay with my family. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful and the continental breakfast was great and had a variety to choose, including fruit and a protein option. Since we have a 17 month old, I was pleased to see that they even had high chairs. The pool and waterslide area was clean and alot of fun. […] The hotel was very clean and in a great area with restaurants and other newer businesses close by. It was good. Cleaning staff need to replace towels when there are done cleaning room thou.

Rooms looking worn and tired. Very uncomfortable beds. Very small bathrooms. Vanity area out in the open so you cannot be sleeping when someone is getting cleaned up due to light and noise.

My kids enjouyed the water slide. However, it was a little tight for a family of four with older kids. The sink stopper was on the floor when we returned to the room-not sure why.

The staff were very friendly. Variety of places to eat and shop. For a family of four, our children enjoyed the indoor pool access and the slide, we could not pull them away. Complementary breakfast was reasonable with great hours for those who sleep in. Unfortunately, the coin laundry service could use an upgrade.

Could use some new carpet in the hallways. Other than that I had a wonderful stay, rooms were clean and well maintained and the staff was very helpful and friendly. Hotel was very easy to find an in an excellent location for shopping, movies and restaurants. pool was small but had a slide and hot tub.

The entrance doors lock for security purposes every night. I couldn't get out one night. Had to find a staff member to open it for me. I was missing pouder (make-up) in my room. I reported it and the desk man said that's impossible. He wouldnt allow me to make a report that their staff would never. Maybe that why they havent had any reported as they […] do not allow it. Upon check out, the asian lady said I'd get a follow-up and never did. Room was clean with an awkward layout. Wifi was slow. Continental breakfast was decent. Close to a lot of restaurants/shops. The hotel was very adequate for our needs. We found the room large and comfortable as we were only staying for one night to attend a play at the Citadel. It is nice that it is so close to shopping and restaurants. We all enjoyed the free breakfast and my little girl enjoyed the pool and waterslide. Location was 20 minutes from airport. Fabulous pool, hot tub, and waterslide. Staff was great. Rooms need redoing though.

9:30 at nite, 4th floor, hear a nasty noise from outside, open the curtains and there is a guy in a hoist lookin in the window, call front desk to ask wtf am told not to worry they are working on the sign outside and they will be done in 5 minutes, 45 minutes later with impact guns and diesel generator, and the guy yelling down 4 floors to his buddy. […] front desk sucked and did nothing to mitigate the problem Skaityti daugiau

Warm and friendly, excellent local. The amenities available is perfect for any family travelling to Edmonton for a day or two. The indoor pool and jacuzzi was an absolutely fantastic experience.

The location was excellent. it was located to almost all the stores that we were gonna go to. The room that we stayed in was not the cleanest that i have ever stayed in, hair were at the sink, tub and floor. the blankets had crumbs on them. and so forth. continental breakfast was really good, almost felt like breakfast at home. the pool was good except […] the hot tub was not quite warm enough. more pool temp than anything. other than that we were quite i,presssed!
