My room and bathroom were clean upon arrival. Overall, the hotel seemed very out-dated from the unusual 70s Vegas-style hall carpet to the 80s office furniture in my room. There was a wood framed bulletin board on one wall of the room and white formica cabinets in the kitchen area. It was nice to have access to the kitchen; however, the maid never replaced […] the cereal bowl or spoon that I used the first day, so the second day I had to eat my oatmeal with a fork. Also, housekeeping picked up the towels that I used and hung them over the shower curtain rod, merely straightening them. Also, housekeeping did not wipe the sinks, so my bath sink still had a few stray hairs from earlier when I dried and styled my hair. I heard the people upstairs at 5 am the next morning and also my neighbors next door; not much sound-proofing. Overall, this hotel seems overpriced for the total experience. Compared to a Springhill Suites, Homewood Suites, or Comfort Suites, the Candlewood Suites was lacking and seemed like a dorm room. Skaityti daugiau

This property is affiliated with MSU. On previous stay noted dining was very good. Did not dine this time. It is situated close to MSU. It is quiet because surrounded by golf course so no traffic noise. Love the recliner feature in the rooms. Its comfortable to sleep in as well as the bed.

This is a clean hotel, nothing special, compared to others in the area of Lansing, East Lansing and Okemos it is a better deal for the price. Nothing in the area is really outstanding but they charge like they are. This works for a few day stay, beyond that it would be depressing and dorm like.OK

Convenient location in a very quiet area. There is a restaurant adjacent to the hotel, but did not use it. Well equipped kitchen for simple meals for two. Has an exercise room with basic fitness equipment. Free washers and dryers. Would have preferred a king size bed option, but all rooms except the suite have queen beds. We stayed for 2 nights and found it very comfortable for the price. No complimentary breakfast but free coffee and comfortable. We will stay again when we are in the area.

We enjoyed the hotel due to its proximity to our son who works at MSU, but there was not daily housekeeping in our room. Even if it's a holiday (Thanksgiving), people pay for a clean room...otherwise they'd stay in their son's basement! It was nice to have breakfast at the University Club...great food.

Clean, spacious, friendly. The address didn't clearly identify on my GPS. it's tucked in off the road and not clearly visible so read the sign after the road splits to see Candlewood listed. It's tucked right in the golf course. The bed was very comfortable!

The hotel staff was the best part of this stay. They were delightful and pleasant. The hotel feels like it is out in the middle of nowhere but really isn't all that far from the action. There is no food close by other than the attached restaurant. The room had a wonderful kitchenette and felt comfortable. great location, back of hotel overlooks a golf course and has an attached fitness center and restaurants. great location in town too. close to parks, lots of places to walk outside.

My room was iike a little studio apartment and the staff was very attentive and courteous. The grounds are beautiful and the pool was perfect. And the food at the restaurant was superb. I really enjoyed my stay and will definately return.

We were pleased to receive a free upgrade upon arrival. Room was clean and well equipped. Staff was very kind. Website boasted an outdoor pool, we ended up having to call the desk to find it. Room was a bit stuffy and didn't get cool enough for our liking (the hallway was cooler than our room)

The establishment is geared toward longer stays and from what we saw would do nicely. The room had a furnished kitchenette and there was a pantry from which one could purchase food and other necessities. Our stay was for only one night and we were very happy with the condition of our room and the friendliness of the staff.

Located in a beautiful area. Very clean & spacious room. Could improve their signage, drove past it twice trying to find it. They also could use an automatic door in their entry, very awkward trying to open the single door and drag your suitcases thru.

I was amazed that there was a two burner stove, dishwasher, frig, garbage disposal and microwave in the room. What a great place for parents who come to visit their kids at MSU and need a upgraded place for a week or so. This is a great location if you need to be in Lansing Mich. Great golf course/private club of the University. They upgraded me to a suite with separate bedroom, which was very very nice. Breakfast is not included, however the breakfast at the University club restaurant is like a 3 star restaurant or better. This Hotel is part of the University Club and as a Guest you get temporary Membership to the Club with a great Restaurant, Swimming Pool (Summer) and all the benefits of the Club. We rented for one night while up visiting our college student. The hotel was better than we had expected. The room has a small refrigerator, microwave, 2 burner stove and an assortment of dishes, pots, silverware, etc. We didn't need this, but it was a nice plus. Great hotel with great service. Very isolated from other services, but next to the Executive conference center of MSU...which does have a business center and a restaurant, and in the summer swimming pool. Also, has a day spa which is accessible to hotel guests. Good value for the dollars.

The Candlewood Suites hotel at MSU was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly. We did not require any service from the staff as our accommodations were very good. Liked the flat screen tv and full size fridge. Very nice hotel for the price. Definately would stay there again.

We stayed at Candlewood after a MSU game and we were very happy with it. It was near the stadium, and centrally located to go visit other places that evening.

The room was nice, but I was extremely disappointed with the extras. There was supposed to be a sauna, but it was not in the hotel. It was in adjoining building that you had to walk 10-15 minutes to get there. When there it was in the locker room of the fitness club (owned by MSU). There was a fee to use it and there was one for the men and one for […] the ladies. I was hoping to have a relaxing soak with my husband, so I was out of luck. Also the pool was another 8 minute walk away from the hotel. We had intentionally booked this hotel for the sauna/pool so I was very dissapointed. The staff was very nice, and the room had a small kitchenette in it. The representation of this hotel was missleading and lead to my dissapointment. If you are sensitive to smell don't use this hotel. The room freshner they use is over powering! Heavy perfume smell was difficult to deal with. Needed to open the window to get fresh air. The other issue was that the toliet kept running; needed repair. Pool closed early (9 pm) so we didn't get a chance to use it... A good place to stay if you are looking for someplace quiet, and off the beaten path. I usually stay at the Kellogg Center Hotel or Marriott East Lansing, but both were booked up for the weekend. I would definitely stay here again--nice area, nice room, friendly people. We got in late due to a delay in connections at the airport, but we were greeted warmly. The desk clerk even recommended a good order-out pizza shop that would deliver after 11pm when we finally got in.
