Great ambiance and comfort in pool and lounge area, room equipped with extras including microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker and extra sink in alcove area. A large screen TV was also included. Dogs are welcome and not discriminated against in any areas except pool area.

The stay was just fine but the hotel has different amenities for different situations. Apparently when booking ONLINE, BREAKFAST IS NOT INCLUDED and they want you to eat in their NON-IMPRESSIVE RESTAURANT and charge it to the room/your credit card. We thought that we had breakfast included but that was not true!!! The front desk told us that because we got a deal through expedia we were not entitled to the free breakfast buffet. It did only cost $6.99 but again we thought we had that included!!

This was one of the cleanest hotels I've ever stayed in! Beats out even the more costlier choices - would recommend it. Convenient to downtown also via a number of routes. Would stay there again.

Good facilities in the room. Excellent bed. Restaurant needs the refurbishment that is promised. Good reception staff, nice touch to provide cookies and newspapers. Location is on a busy intersection - with lights so once you are used to it it is OK. Hotel security is questionable.

I thought the location of this hotel was perfect for my long weekend. It was close to downtown Portland, the mall, and not far from Freeport. The rooms were in great shape, the beds really comfortable, and I had no problems at all.

Great Front Desk, Room was clean, tidy and well kept . Bathroom was bright and a 46" flat screen TV on the dresser. Close to the city and restaurants.

We were in a non-smoking room, but it smelled pretty strongly of smoke. Also, this is really more of a motel than a hotel, with parking right outside your room. Which also means that you can hear a lot going on outside your room. We were there at the same time as a conference, and I had to call the management at 11:45 pm to ask them to quiet the people […] who were hanging out on the stairs near our room. They were very good about it though, and we didn't have a problem after that. The hotel is clean, breakfast included. I was pleased with the hotel.Nice and clean. The free buffet breakfast at the resturant next door was wonderful!!! Excellent tasting food- a great value with growing and hungry children.

I just needed a place to stay after an all day event so my time was limited. Staff was nice, breakfast was a step up from the free buffet you normally get but just a small step up. So it was overall ok. Complaints: the elevators are quite a haul from the front desk, down a long hallway. Thankfully I didn't have heavy bags. Clean and comfortable Best Western fits the bill for a three generation stay in area. Hotel has a very friendly, safe vibe which is greatly appreciated when staying with kids. My family stays at the Merry Manor every year on our way to our summer house in DownEast Maine. We love the saltwater pool and hot tub they have there. It's so nice to relax in the water at the end of a long day driving. It's easy to get into downtown either driving or by cab to have dinner in one of Portland's many great restaurants. The staff were very accommodating and the in-motel restaurant served food for all meals - not the "continental" type that thinks a muffin is breakfast. The hotel was directly across from the access road to the highway and only 5 1/2 miles from where I needed to be.

The room was clean, nicely appointed and comfortable. The pool was well maintained and a good size that allowed for the kids to play and adults to relax, or vice-versa, plus a hot tub. Poolside towels were small and insufficient, but that was a minor grievance on a hot summer day.

The location was great. I loved the bed and pillows. The room could have used a door sweeper as there was about an inch opening between the floor and the door. As a consequence, all noise from the hallway was clearly audible from inside the room.

Hotel was clean and convienient. Not alot in the area but this is how it is across most VT, ME and NH. There was a massage chair in the room that was fantastic!

Don't stay here!! Upon check-in, we found our room to be dirty, with old food found in the refrigerator and on the furniture. We were supposed to stay two more nights in this hotel but cancelled the room and went to the Hampton Inn where accomodations were much more as they should have been.

The hotel was excellent. We did not require room service, though the staff was within character. Public jacuzzi and pool was pretty cool, but did not go. Room was super clean and super comfortable.
