Front desk staff was nice. Room was never cleaned in between days, even after requested. Bad beds. Free parking a plus. Nothing nearby except Chilis. Short drive to downtown newport.

It was okay. Not spectacular and we probably won't book with Holiday Inn Express again but it was okay for a one night stay.

Hotel was clean very happy with our room, king bed with couch, sitting area. Great breakfast. Great location. Will stay at holiday inn express again.

This is a great location for visiting the Newport Naval Station. Really close to the back gate and not far from the front one either.

So overall ok but lacking in some key areas. Breakfast was included but it was a lousy selection. The room was clean but dated and could easily hear noise from surrounding rooms. Price wasn't bad for one night stay but I wouldn't stay there for the quality.

The internet service was non-existent or not up to par. The vending machine had expired gum from 1 year ago! The ceiling had a water stain on it. The water pipes were obnoxiously loud from when next door rooms would use their shower or hot tub. The hot tub was good. No issues with it. Was simple to use and had an emergency switch in the closet in case […] it wouldn't shut off. The bed was comfortable and clean. The shower seemed a little dirty. Other than that, everything in the room was clean. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I would probably stay here again. The hotel was very nice. My husband and I chose this hotel as a weekend getaway for our anniversary, and were very happy with it. We booked a king jacuzzi room. Location was perfect for us. Only 5-10 minute drive to downtown Newport and attractions. Chili's restaurant right outside the door. Pool was small and so was workout room, but at least they were there. Whirlpool was nice and hot with powerful jets. Room was clean and equipped with big LCD TV, good size fridge and microwave. Only complaint was with the pillows. We had 8 pillows in our room and everyone of them was firm. Probably could have asked for soft pillows but didn't bother. when i was looking for a hotel i was looking for something specific which was a heated pool.. the pool was freezing & i went with 3 children who were dying to use the pool & the water was just too cold so very disastisfied

The room was okay for the price, The breakfast was a mess, some food but not much hot food ready for eating. Small selection, no fruit. By 10:00AM they ran out of eggs, buscuits and gravy, bacon, and coffee. Fire alarm came on at 7:15 AM, no fire, someone burnt bread in the toaster. At least the alarm worked. The people were all nice and helpful.

Our daughter attends school nearby so we often stay here. The rooms are clean, well furnished, staff excellent, breakfast is awesome! We'll definitely be back!

Nice large rooms, helpful staff. Some shops/restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast is fine for a continental breakfast buffet - had fruit, cereal, pancakes, bacon, bagels, biscuits+sausage+gravy, eggs. The pool and jacuzzi are small but do the job.

Not the greatest location, you will need your car. Most other things about the hotel was good. My only problem was breakfast. The content and presentation was good but the paper plates and plastic cutlery were cheap, nasty and so unnecessary. Really lets the place down, penny pinching.

First, no where on hotels.com did it say this was a non-smoking hotel. When I checked in I was informed. When I stated hotels.com offered non-smoking rooms so why would I think this was a non-smoking hotel the front desk clerk laughed at me & told me I had selected a non-smoking room. I said I didn't & he wanted to argue with me. I work for the largest […] telecommunications company in the world & if I had treated a customer that way I would no longer be working there. I stayed in October & it was freezing outside & raining & very windy & there was no place comfortable to smoke. Second, I had a problem with my TV & the night desk clerk treated me like I was crazy. I didn't appreciate that. She called after she left my room to tell me all the TV's were doing the same thing. Third, the shower curtain was filled with mold. Fourth, the maid didn't leave sugar & creamer for the in-room coffeepot on either of the two days I stayed here. Fifth, the free breakfast wasn't worth eating, in my opinion. The eggs were kept in water which sapped them of all flavor. The pancake machine was broken & all the fruit was gone. The orange juice was watered down. My sister said the cinnamon roll was the best she ever had, but that is not what I wanted for breakfast. Skaityti daugiau

We wanted to tour the Newport Mansions and shop. This hotel is minutes from both. The hotel was VERY clean. We inspected it right down to the bare mattessess (okay we are germaphobes) and everything was downright sterile! Everything looked brand new. Stayed on 22Sept (Sat). The room is clean and comfortable, though car sounds can be heard at night as the room is facing the road. There are supermarkets nearby, so it is convenient to get food to microwave in the room. Chilis Restaurant in onsite, so its convenient to also have a nice meal within a few footsteps.

It took an hour to check in because the room had to be "inspected" but then we got in there and the bed wasn't done being made and there weren't any pillowcases on the pillows!! Very good hotel given the proximity to Newport without Newport prices. Only area for improvement would be more help in the dining area for an extremely busy morning time.
