Rodeway Inn And Suites Yakima - Yakima

My husband and I decided to stay in Yakima the night before his surgery instead of trying to make the hour and a half trip at four thirty in the morning. After booking on line, we got there only to find there were issues with our reservation. The hotel wanted to charge us a second time for the room. This was not by fault of the person checking us in […] but per the owner of the establishment. After getting that straightened out, we found the room we reserved not what we had asked for. It was a standard king, however even though it was supposed to be a NON-SMOKING room, it was obvious by the smell and burns in the bathroom that it was not as it should have been. Considering my husband has a rare respiratory condition every detail counts. On a nicer note the room was clean and the fridge and microwave were there, but no coffee pot in room. this place was in the ghetto. hourly rates, drug dealers, gangs!! horrible horrible conditions and a very unsafe place to be. You should remove this hotel from your site before someone stays there and gets caught in the crossfire! very dangersous place to be.

In serious need of repair and upkeep. Bathroom sink was clogged. Carpet was pretty worn and soiled/stained. Noisy unit upstairs from walking and creaking floor boards. Furniture very old. Bathtub was dirty. But they did provide soap, shampoo, ice bucket plastic bag, and paper deal on toilet lid. Sheets appeared to be clean. I don't plan to return even […] at its old price. Staff was friendly, hotel was older but clean, neighbourhood could be better but still a good value.

There was hair on the shower wall, deep stains on the sink and tub, no refrigerator, the bathroom door did not lock and the room smelled musty. The mgr was a personable professional man but I dont believe his offer to speak with his superior about the condition of the room was genuine, even a week after our trip he still hadnt spoken with him.

This is an okay hotel for the price. The shower was warm with good water pressure and the bed was comfortable. The clientele was interesting, to say the least, but no one bothered us during our one night stay.

Michael at the front desk was just great, can't beat the price and location at the hotel. I would stay there again.

The manager was very helpful and accommodating to our needs. The pool was not available for Richard as it is not handicapped accessible. The manager is working on that, but equipment not available yet. The handicapped parking was difficult and could be blocked in by the car around the corner. Needed grab bars in the bathroom for a handicapped person. […] Expensive even with hotels.com for the quality of the hotel. We had a lot of stuff in the room, so we requested that it wasn't necessary to vacuum the room but take care of the bathroom and fix the bed. The only reason I would ever stay in this hotel again was its location. Directly across the street is located a Mexican supermarket. Aside from this market having things you just can't find elsewhere it was attached to a tiny restaurant. This restaurant sports a massive barbeque outside (On which is grilles some of the tastiest chicken I've ever eaten) […] and serves some of the best/most authentic Mexican food I have ever had. I was the only white guy there, but never felt uncomfortable. The lady who took my order even spoke English. The Roadway in and Suites was bearable only because of its neighbor. The reviews are pretty much right on for this hotel. It is about as low budget as you can get. The gentlemen at the front desk was very polite and helpful upon check in. He offered to have the maid service spray a little extra room deodorizer to help cover up the smoke smell. Nothing short of tearing down the hotel would mitigate the smell that was […] in our room. This was a spur of the moment purchase on a busy weekend so I don't regret the stay. However, if I have a little extra time to plan I would gladly pay a few extra dollars to stay elsewhere. Great deal for the low price. I was told the beds have been replaced, and ours was very comfortable. The parking lot has security cameras which was nice to know.

It is an old facility. That being said, the price was right, the staff were courteous and helpfull and my stay met expectations. My only real gripe was tight parking, but I drive a fullsize 4 door truck... So I do need an acre to park it.

This motel was awful and nothing like the description. There were ants everywhere and the rooms smelled stale. The beds were rock hard and painful. The water faucet dripped all night. We would have been better off sleeping in our car!

Old facility - mismatched faucets on sink were difficult to use - smoke alarm on shelf not on wall - shower temperature erratic - previous occupant items found under bed - not at all as advertised!

Breakfast donuts (entemen's) were awesome! Better deal than the other very expensive hotels in the city. Great location. Ability to walk from htel to downtown. Bed was not as comfortable as most, housekeeping would only give more towels but overall, for the price, it was a decent stay.

Overall, the motel is surprisingly dingy and rundown, for a chain motel. I had to wait a half hour to check in before the clerk showed up. It is affordable, but the room looked like it was furnished with cast offs from old hotels. One lamp didn't work. There was no TV remote. The curtains were tattered and wouldn't close all the way. The toilet ran; […] you had to jiggle the handle to stop the running. Tiny ants infested the bathroom. There were no accessible outlets, except in the bathroom, to charge my phone. The AC didn't work -- the room was stifling. The weather was warm, but the tiny outdoor pool was covered and looked nothing like what appeared to be an indoor pool depicted on the website. worst hotel i have ever stayed in. the beds were super hard and uncomfortable. the main office stunk like cigarette smoke however the front desk clerk was very nice. AC was so loud i didn't want to run it at night but it was so hot i couldn't go without it. like i said the worst and most uncomfortable stay i have ever had. the pool was tiny also.

This was our last night stay from Raleigh to Seattle. It is in a bad neighborhood and there were some shady characters around the place. However management was EXTREMELY helpful to us and they do have surveillance and our moving truck and trailer was untouched. There is a rather nice steakhouse next door that we enjoyed and was a welcome relief from […] fast food. As far as our room goes, it wasn't bad, however management did forget to turn AC on ahead of time and it just happened to be the hottest day of the year. Fortunately we had our fan with us and was able to keep relatively cool, but the AC barely worked. Other amenities did work fine and like I said staff was extremely helpful in our requests. From the moment we walked in we were greeted with the smell of smoke in our non-smoking room and it didn't get any better. While they have attempted to modernize by replacing plate covers on switches, etc., the experience left us ready to say it was "Yucky"ma, not Yakima. Stay away if you can afford to.

The room, bed & linens were clean, but the motel need quite a bit of woek. for example no stopper in sink and the faucet needs to be replaced along with the toilet which made quite a bit of noise when flushed.

Good place to rest your head and nothing more. Very close to downtown Yakima and across from a Mexican supermarket. Quite, clean, friendly. Pillows left a lot to desire and the bed was a little hard, but you get what you pay for.

The place was located conveniently but it was old and run down. The guy was pretty nice to deal with and tried to provide accomodations the best he could. It was fairly clean but the bed was old and uncomfortable.

This is an example of "you get what you pay for." The hotel was inexpensive and the quality matched. If you just need a place to sleep, it serves the purpose. It was quiet and the shower was hot. We have stayed in several motels in the Yakima area over the past 18 years (3 to 4 times a year) and dorrar for dollar this will remain on our preferred list.
