Very pleasant, it may not be a 4 star hotel but staff are very accomidating and friendly and rooms are comfy and cozy. Definitely definitely worth the money. Great location, easy to get anywhere. The occasional down side like no shower pressure but I will absolutely stay here again! Loved it

Though the hotel was grossly outdated and in great need of updates, the service and location were superb for our attendance at the Ford World Men's Curling Championship. I would stay again.

I love Victoria and love to stay at places that are close to the town, but not in the town. Pau's Motor Inn was a great surprise! Clean, friendly, convenient, and great food in the restaurant. I especially liked the wonderful people that work there. They were all courteous and informative.

Paul's Inn was perfect for our requirements. Situated close to all amenities and very comfortable. The staff were great and overall we had an excellent stay.

It worked well for me. My room was very basic, oldish, but it was clean, the desk staff were helpful and friendly, the restaurant breakfast was very good and reasonably priced. I needed to be close to the parliament buildings for the marathon start, it was a only a short cab ride away.

Hotel was comfortable and courtyard room was quiet. This was important to us as we had to rise early for Victoria Marathon. A recent car accident had impacted the entry way so repair work was underway (October 2012). Not a big deal to walk around.

This hotel is very old-fashioned and although the rooms were comfortable and clean the room smelled a bit like the building used to be a home for old people (I don't know if it did or not). There were also no tea and coffee making facilities in the room and breakfast was not included in the room rate.

loved this little place! it was perfect for what i needed. i took a west coast trip from the middle of california all the way up to Victoria by myself and this place took good care of my weary traveling bones. my room was in the back courtyard which was nice and private and quiet! my room was clean and comfy. the staff was very nice. the front desk […] lady had some issues while checking me out that were quite irritating, but nevertheless, she got me out of there and all was well. the location is great, everything is in walking distance. didn't care too much for the food in the diner, so i only ate there twice out of convenience. but all in all, i would stay here again! Great location and staff. No air conditioning in the rooms although all the rooms come supplied with a fan. The weather was very warm when we were there and so the rooms were unbearably hot. Would not recommend staying here in hot weather.

Older motel with great staff, clean rooms and very accomodating to your needs. Excellent location. Service in restaurant (breakfast) is slow but food is good and always hot. Have stayed there 4 times and will again. You can walk anywhere downtown, be safe and car is partked at motel.

We were allowed to keep our car in the parking lot longer than our actual stay at the hotel and that was appreciated. We loved that the walk to our place of business was close and interesting. The reservations were easy and the front desk very helpful and friendly. We did, however, find the room most stuffy, even with the air on. The bed was hard. My only complaint about my stay is the presence of SEAGULLS SQUAWKING any time of the day or night. Early morning wake-up calls unnecessary as the gulls do it! I was told that the city is trying to deal with the problem throughout the city!

The key card to the Courtyard doesn't work, despite trying 5 different cards. Someone found the answer - a brick holding the door open. The door key cards were often a miss, despite different cards. Frustration! No asir conditioning so OK in shoulder season, but not summer.

The locks don't respond to the key cards. Tried 4 different cards, friends tried three before finding one that worked. Even then, it was hit & miss on the room door. we booked the room online and reached the hotel on August 11, 2012 at 4:00 PM but check in was not smmoth. There were problem with their system, so they ask us to come after 40 min for check in. The room was clean and beds were comfortable but microwave not available in the room. Hotel was nothing fancy, but it was clean, safe, and comfortable, with mini fridge, but no microwave. Location is about a 10 min walk to the touristy stuff instead of in the middle of it for twice the cost. Hotel also has an attached "drive in" restaurant which was great food, great price. Though the climate doesn't demand it, we missed the presence of air-conditioning. Also, the bathroom had a major leak from the tub while showering.

The difference between retro and disgusting is upkeep. The cleaners need to look up. Brown crud in light fixtures, dust, dirt.

Inexpensive but clean and quiet. Easy walking distance to downtown Victoria, Chinatown and restaurants/brew-pubs on nearby Wharf Street. Good breakfast at attached restaurant.

We stayed twice in Paul's Motor Inn and the rooms were always very clean. The hotel is located very close to Victoria's center (~10-15min walk) and is easily accessible with a car. Additionally, parking is free. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Paul's Motor Inn is a very good stay for the money. We'd definitely stay again.

We stayed four days and the housekeeping left much to be desired. Basically we were neglected. The cloth covered chairs were filthy and in need of new upholstery.

My courtyard room was perfectly secluded. The bed & pillows were comfortable and the street noise level minimum. The staff was more than willing to help in anyway needed. It's an older motor lodge that has been well maintained. Within walking distance to downtown Victoria and 20 min car ride to Butchart Gardens.

Paul's Motor Inn in Victoria, BC is very retro -- rooms, restaurant and even a drive-in food service like the old A&W's. I specifically asked to be on the main level due to my husbands health issues, and we were placed on the 2nd level. This was difficult for my husband to negotiate. No elevator.. Very basic and no frills, but the room was clean enough and the front desk was very helpfull with late checkout and letting us park there a few hours longer. Best rates and only 10 minute walk to heart of downtown. Would stay again.
