Beautiful old hotel with so much character. All the rooms are unique without the typical boring hotel furniture. Thick walls so it was very quiet at night. The staff was wonderful. We'll definitely be back. Want to try it out in the summer as well so that we can enjoy the awesome lake views.

The hotel worked perfectly for my husband and I. It was quiet, clean and had lots of character. Its an old hotel, so it does not have the modern conveniences of your bigger hotel chains. If you care about that, this is probably not the place for you. The continental breakfast was fine, but it helped to know there was a cafe within walking distance of […] the hotel. Be aware that if you come back to town after 8:00, you should bring your own snacks. There is not much open. The story of the ghost who supposedly haunted the room next to ours made the stay more interesting. I love this little town on the water. No, it's not convenient to get to when one attends a Green Bay Packer game 30 miles west at Lambeau Field. But often, Kewaunee is the only location left for hotels on game night. But the drive is pleasant (except in a blinding snowstorm) enough and the town is a throwback, as is this hotel. My father and I stayed here while we attended a Green Bay Packers Game. The staff was very kind, and the Inn was very clean and home feeling. I would definitely stay here again!

The Hotel is a run down old style building. The pillows had blood stains on them, the shower head had caked on mold, the bottom of the door had chunks of wood scraped off and a large gap that a small animal could have fit under. The hotel staff contacted me via cell to ask when I was going […] to arrive ( 2 days after I had already checked in and was currently in one of their rooms). The story of the hotel being haunted is TRUE in our opinion. Both my son and I felt very uncomfortable at this place, middle of the night, door handle was shaken vigourously and no one was at the door. Noises that could not be explained in hallways, and various other little things here and there that made non believers of paranormal activity believers. I guarantee that if I ever return to that part of Wisconsin, I will NOT stay anywhere near the Kewaunee Inn, previously known as The Karsten Inn. This is a very old remodeled hotel, an historic landmark basically. The room was plain and had a cold feeling to it. The wooden floors creaked. There was mildew in the shower. Access to the rooms, located on the 2nd floor, was by stairs only. Heat was supplied by a window AC/Heat unit that was hard to regulate and very noisy. The bed was uncomfortable. […] The TV was an old analog set with a standard picture tube. Parking was on the street around the hotel. This place may be fine in the summer when there are lake activities going on, but I don't recommend it during late fall and winter. There is nothing to do for entertainment in the town. We drove to Sturgeon Bay and back just to kill time. Headed out very early next morning to get to Green Bay 26 miles away where we had breakfast before the game. Skaityti daugiau

The whole place just didn't seem fresh. The rooms were left open for anyone to walk around in them before you checked in. I do not recommend this place. Keep driving.

Costumer service was amazing. Kinda bumbed there wasn't any stores open late at night. Or any restaurants , but the egg rolls were amazing from the bar :)

In general, the room was quite adequate. The major drawbacks were in the bathroom. The tub did not drain well so you had to wait between showers. The toilet paper holder did not hold the roll. Every time you tried to tear the paper the roll came off and went flying across the room. We were impressed by the size of the room. It is an old hotel, so it does smell musty. If you appreciate old architecture and furnishings this is the place to enjoy it. The continental breakfast was on the brief side. The bread offerings were slightly stale. We were unable to see the lake from our room, we had to go to the fire escape off the end off the hallway to see it.

The staff at the hotel was wonderful. Our room was large and the lobby of the hotel was lovely. The front porch where we sat for breakfast was a great space. That said, the rooms could use some updating. The comforters on the beds are clean but very worn, the towels were clean but had small stains from things like makeup and the blankets were not very […] high quality. The beds did not have pillowtop and that is something I have become accustomed to at hotels. The room was clean and the price was right but if you are accustomed to a Marriott style hotel and you like everything new and plush you might not choose this hotel. The place has lots of character. Rooms are all different which makes it interesting. Super clean. Staff was hard to locate at times, but the hotel almost had a bed and breakfast feel to it. Very accommodating people were the saving grace. Over-billed "view of Lake Michigan." Eccentric hotel from the past. Great if you like that sort of thing.

I had a lovely stay at the Kewaunee Inn. The rooms are beautifully decorated. The staff are warm and welcoming, but sometimes hard to find. Sadly, the hotel is not terribly accessible for those who have mobility issues. I have mild arthritis in my knees and found it difficult to manuever up the stairways. There are no elevators available. I had a hard […] time holding the bannister and my baggage. They were very responsive to the fact that I was having a problem. Ludkily, they found a young man to carry my bag up to my room. The beds were a little hard. I fell asleep on the couch in my room on the second night and was very comfy. the hotel does not have an elevator. The tv had a horrible picture. There was no hot water and the shower leaked. it was very overpriced and i would not recomend it to my worse enemy

Nice renovation, Lots of charm. However I had a room with a view of a brick wall 2 ft away. This has happened before with hotels.com reservations. I could have asked for one of the empty rooms with a view but did not. Nice bar and dinning room. Great big inviting lobby. Wide hallways, high ceilings. Would stay there again, different room.

In every way the Kewaunee Inn exceeded our expectations. We love historic hotels, and that is why we selected it. The rooms were delightfully decorated and the lobby, library, tavern and dining area were comfortable in an early 20th century way. My wife and I met our good friends here for a weekend. Kewaunee was a good midway point between southern Ohio and northern Minnesota. The Kewaunee Inn proved to be a perfect meeting place. You do get your exercise if you have a third […] floor room since there is no elevator. The library served as a perfect location for our serious games of pinochle. In the evening the veranda hosted the epic battles. The Sunday brunch buffet, though small in size, was excellent in quality. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Beverly especially went out of her way to make our stay enjoyable. Would definitely consider staying here again if we choose Kewaunee as a meeting place with our friends in the future. This beautiful hotel has been restored to its full glory. The hotel is "haunted" so just a heads up. I had a sound night with no issues in my room and its almost literally a stones through from the lake. The rooms are spacious and the showers are tall enough for a 6'5 man to stand in without having to dip his head to get under the showerhead. small […] TVs are provided with Direct TV but there is no mini bar or fridge/kitchenette. The decor downstairs is old style and they have a nice bar attached. The breakfast isnt the most amazing but they have english muffins and juice and coffee and cereal so its pretty standard i guess. Historic Inn that has been well maintained and provides a very comfortable, quiet stay. Spacious room w/ hardwood floors and nice decor. All modern amenities have been provided. My husband and I recently stayed at the Kewaunee Inn. When we arrived at the hotel, we were stunned at how beautiful it was! The woman behind the front desk asked us what we were up there for (a concert) and she gave us a free upgrade to a jacuzzi suite for being newlyweds (she figured this out because the reservations were in my maiden name). Very beautiful and old fashioned. A welcome change from the boring chain places and the staff treat you like family. Had a fantasic, relaxing time. All our meals were on the veranda listening to seagulls and watching the water....HEAVEN!!

Friendly staff, limited service. Breakfast very basic. Spacious room, simple furnishing. Didn't try saloon and restaurant, did enjoy live entertainment. All rooms 2nd & 3rd floor; no elevator.

The Kewaunee Inn is a large, old but well-appointed hotel. The lobby is large and comfortable. The rooms had very high ceilings and all of the amenities. The internet didn't work. The breakfast was a little meager but ok.

Loved the room and hotel decor. They have done a good job of restoring. Feels like you are staying in an old hotel room ( in a good way). They have put in all modern amenities like tv and jacuzzi. So it's a nice mix. The location is a little out of the way. They allow one night stays unlike the pricier hotels nearer to Sturgeon Bay and Sister Bay. […] So if you are going for a day's visit to Door County, this might be a good hotel.
