Pro's: 5 minute walk from the excellent Madrid Metro. 10 mins by taxl from airport. Good food. Good beer. Friendly/helpful. CONS: Beds were stiff. Single beds instead of doubles, placed together to be a double bed, but were made up as single beds. Could here everything from others rooms because of wooden floors, and lack of sound proofing on the furniture. […] Restaurant opened at 8:30pm, and had the same menu as the small bar area. Nice, moderately priced hotel. Clean and in fairly good condition. Restaurant offers only a basic, limited selection (sandwhiches mostly) but the food is quite edible and ambience simple but pleasant. Bed is hard and pillows are flat, maybe not a problem for some guests but not too comfortable for me. Room was clean and everything worked. Staff not […] overly friendly but efficient. Location is not for tourists wanting to see Madrid, but convenient for business travellers wanting to be near the airport and convention centre, about 20 minutes by taxi from each. The service was excellent. The room was great. You can pay 20 euros more and have either breakfast, lunch or dinner and a late check-out which is very convenient. The hotel is not far away from the airport, 15 to 20 minutes away, paying around 21 euros for the ride. Very friendly and nice staff - This hotel is situated in nice area and one close to other public transport routes. I don't speak any Spanish and the staff put themselves out to help me every single day. I will definitely return to Madrid again and definitly book this hotel which I just loved. Stay was good, even spent an extra night - unfortunately not at the same rate as the first. This was my first time using Hotel.com so did not think to let you know I needed the extra night. Sad cause the E26 made such a difference to my mood as I was told by the member of staff that it would be the same price. Two day trip to Madrid. Very nice neighbourhood. Room and hotel lobby spacious. Cafeteria prices are a bit expensive but hey this is Madrid. Over all impressed and will stay in future, only 25 mins to city by metro

The hotel was OK, few glitches made me think that service provided is more on two star family resort side than the business travelers orientated venue: Restaurant - being opened only late night. The waiter brought me a menu but when I was ready for order I was told in quite rude/broken language that I cannot order anything from the menu and other menu […] (from cafeteria next door) was brought. I would not wait long for restaurant to open if I knew the menu of restaurant and cafeteria serve same dishes ... The room - Within three days my refuse was not taken away and AC was broken. The room and bathroom were modern and a convenient bar fridge was provided. The location is a bit far from the tourist areas, but the metro is only a 7 min walk and another 15 mins to Sol station. I would not recommend taking the bus as it took us 40 mins to get to the hotel during rush hour. A grocery store (Alcampo) is conveniently located next to […] the Pio XII metro station. Hotel was clean and staff were pleasant. 5 mins walk from Metro station. Asked for a double but got two singles pushed together. Otherwise very pleasant stay, and certainly good value for money.

Comfortable hotel, good breakfast spread, nice and quiet neighborhood. NOT near the center of town, if that matters to you. More like a convention hotel. If you don't mind a short walk to the Pio XII Metro station, this is the place to stay. The Colombia Metro (different line from Pio XII) is just another block or so more, and it's a direct line to […] the Airport. (€2.50 one way). ROOM PROS: Windows open, which is important since one of the ROOM CONS is that the heat can't really be controlled. Another ROOM PRO is the double-shower-head situation in the shower. Very comfortable. Unfortunately, our room had a CON in that the shower leaked all over the floor every time due to the instability of the glass partition "attached" to the tub and the floor drain was on the other side of the bathroom. Another ROOM PRO that we enjoyed was the in-room safe and the easy-to-use free Wi-Fi. One CON for me was the rock-hard mattress, but this was a PRO for my spouse...so they'll cancel each other out. We traveled by train, so the parking situation is unknown. The breakfast spread was great. Food was tasty, variety was good. If you want to get your own food, there's a supermarket down the street, with restaurants a few blocks more. The in-room fridge is big enough to keep supplies, and free bottles of water are provided daily. We would definitely stay here again next time in Madrid. Close proximity to the Chamartin train station (with access to Cercanías and RENFE trains) made daytripping very easy to El Escorial, Avila, Segovia, and more. Get a 10-ride Metro ticket and save some money coming and going from this hotel. Staff was VERY friendly every time we came and went. :) Skaityti daugiau

Nice stay at this hotel. Although the service could be better. I asked for a meeting room and they couldn't provide me one because I should have asked for one day in advance (and there were plenty rooms unused!!)

This hotel was a 10 in all regards! The room was great--new, marble bathroom, sitting area and comfortable beds. The staff, however, made this hotel all that it is. The desk staff were helpful in all requests, and were eager to satisfy. The restaurant was pleasant, and Jose Maria did all that he could to make guests happy. We enjoyed very much of staying at the Confortel Pro XII Hotel, we felt we were very much welcomed by the staff, the beautiful smile and clear English speaking ability made every thing went well. Sandra, the staff at the reception counter, was very helpful and willing to take time to explain to our requests. Away from rest, entertainment, downtown, etc... Bus #150 is close and takes you directly to Puerta del Sol. The only thing is that it does not ride as frequent as downtown buses. Very nice hotel in quiet neighborhood. Would stay there again, though it is a little far from the Metro which would be a problem if it was the rainy season, but in summer it was fine.

We cannot buy the train tickets from Lisbon to Madrid, we bought bus tickets instead, and hence arrive some hours earlier at 9am, they are nice to let us a a free early checkin. You know it is tired after so called 'sleeping' by bus. The place is very safe, close to Charmatin station but suggest to go by PIO XII station, because it is even closer, you […] can take a bus, just 2 stop, and dont need to walk with luggage. Lo escogí por los comentarios, estaba de paso hacia Italia por una noche en Madrid, está a unas 5 cuadras de la estación de metro asi que la jalada de maletas es algo molesta pero no dificil, la atención muy bien, la habitación igual, internet WiFi, el baño bien, el desayuno buffet incluido estuvo aceptable.
