We booked this hotel because we wanted to stay on the beach by the low rise hotels - far enough away from the hi risers & active area. We knew from having been there years ago that this was an absolutely beautiful beach. THAT DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!! The hotel is aprox 15 mins from the airport (about $23) - you have to ck in @ the Divi Golf main lobby […] - but there is a shuttle to take you back & forth. Getting around to either downtown, or to the piers, or to a restaurant will cost you aprox $9-$12 ea way. Our room (studio) was set behind the All Inclusive Tamajrin & a short 5 min walk to 2 supermarkets! Very convenient as we were not in the All Inclusive part - but our room did come equipped with a full kitchen (stove top, microwave, refrig, dishes, etc.). Our view was the pool with jacuzzi and a pretty view of the ocean - as we were on the 2nd floor - in between the 2 Tamarijn oceanfront bldgs. After our first night they switched our room due to a leak from the airconditioner onto the counter in the bathroom/changing area. Some of the rooms have not been updated with newer a/c units. Our new room was on the ground floor - and no ocean view - but went right out to the 2nd pool & hot tub - the walk to market was now 8 mins away - but the ocean was 100 yards? Of course the staff moves to the groove of the island, so patience was needed -we lost some time resolving this - but for that they credited us $100 & when our friends just flew in unexpectedly - they were able to find them a room too for 2 nights & honored the same price. Overall - if you are looking for the beauty of Aruba, without the bustle of the hi riser & all inclusives - if it is BEACH you are looking for & convenience - this is the place - you can eat, sleep, drink & play @ your pace & it won't kill your budget! The Tu for Tu-Tu Happy Hour @ the OceanviewTiki Bar with Jimmy the Singing Bartender is lots of fun too!! All the staff at Divi Dutch Village are very accomodating and very pleasant. The only thing that my husband and myself were disappointed with was that they no longer have Wifi access and having personal computers in lobby of Divi was ok if people stuck to the 15 minute limit especially teens. The 1-bedroom suite extended the full depth of the building, so we could open windows at both ends and get natural air flow (if we didn't want the air conditioning). This area (the lo-rise hotel area) was very quiet and and beach quite uncrowded. (The noisy people prefer the hi-rise hotel area.) The kitchenette was very well equipped. The Suites and beach are the plus for this hotel. But service very poor, had to stand in line for about 45min to 60min to check in. Apparently they were overbooked by 18 rooms. Anytime you go to front desk you will se people complaining of something, staff not responsive seem to have attitude its managements issue not theirs but no manager available […] to complain. Warning: telephone service in room is setup to rip customers off. For exampe if you lift and press number you will get a$3 charge. Does not matter if the call goes through or not. The phone says no service charge for calling to make credit card or collect call, but try it and you get a $3 charge. No Wifi despite advertised as wifi is available. Skaityti daugiau

The room was very dirty.

We were merely here for an overnight stay. The resort is not very convenient nor amenable to this. The "inclusive" program does not serve overnight guests at all. Moreover there was very little to NO explanation about all this, until we were very frustrated.

I stayed at the Divi Dutch due to convenience and price. The suites were definitely adequate, although some maintenance was needed for my shower curtain rod and the internet does NOT work in the Divi Dutch area...I could only get access near the Sea Breeze Restaurant. However, it is close to the supermarket and right on the beach, great location.

Waited about an hour before I could into my room> Key programming didn't work after 4 attempts until they finally decided to put me in another room! Front desk clerk NOT friendly at all! It seemed as if I was causing the inconvenience. When placed in new room, bathroom sink was clogged and AC barely worked! We had a pleasant stay. Just a stop over for one night before leaving. The room did not have much information about the restaurants available on site and when explored discovered that some were only available to the all-inclusive stays. Whatever you do, DON'T STAY HERE! The other divisions of the Divi may be nicer but the Dutch Village was like staying in a run down Motel 6 (no actually a Motel 6 would be nicer). The staff was fine, but when we finally checked into our room that is when the disaster began. First, the air conditioner was so loud I thought every time the fan kicked on […] that the northbound train was going by. Second, the overwhelming smell of bleach was enough to kill someone... not sure what they used it for... bathroom was a wreck, there were cigarette burns all over the sink, the tub was so worn through i thought we might fall into the room below us. And worst of all we turned down the bedding that night to find a random curly hair an what appeared to be blood on the sheets. When we called the front desk they told us housekeeping was closed, when my husband told them to switch us to another room then they decided someone could bring us up come fresh bedding that we had to change on our own! I will never stay here again. It is a huge complex of many properties and very impersonal. Our room was in need of repair and did not feel that clean. I felt like I was on a huge cruise ship. Lots of restaurants and activities, but I felt like a second rate citizen since that I did not go to the inclusive. Staff at different properties within the complex […] do not have knowledge of the others. We have stayed here many times. Its in a great spot We can walk to grocery store, t beach and you have your choise of many pools. Golf is in walking distance, as are some restaurants, and bus service, if you choose not to rent a car. Full kitchen for meals.

We spent one night here while stranded in Aruba due to flight problems. The check-in and -out process took an exceedingly long time, with front desk repeatedly appearing and disappearing in to a back room. They bristled when asked for an explanation of the delay. We were promptly taken to our room via a "shuttle" in the form of a golf cart. The room […] itself was very comfortable, with a king bed, sitting area, table and deck. At first glance the room seemed to be in good condition, but with time we noticed signs of aging (bathroom mold and rust; curtain mildew). While the hotel itself is not all inclusive, the nearest sister resorts are, requiring one to purchase "tickets" for meals. No one explained this to us at check-in and hotel staff were quite impatient with us as we tried to understand how the system worked. Ticket purchases cannot be billed to the room. The property sits very close to a lovely beach with a well-maintained boardwalk. There are swimming pools all about. The hotel is several miles from downtown Oranjestad. We noted that a sister property had been without water or air conditioning for two to three days, yet they were still checking people in to this property. That property and ours had unwatchable TV due to signal problems; we were told they were "working on it" (later learned it had been down for several days). Overall, passable room for the price, totally rude and perhaps incompetent staff, nice beach. We would not stay here again if we had any other options. Skaityti daugiau

WE HAD A REALLY NICE ROOM BUT ON SAT BECAUSE WE WERE LEAVING ON SUNDAY THERE WAS A GREAT IN FLUX OF TEENAGERS AND A FEW ADULTS. THE PEOPLE WERE NOT THERE BEFORE SAT AND ON SUNDAY THEY WERE NOT THERE. I ALMOST THOUGHT IT WAS LIKE THE FAMILIES FROM THE ISLAND.

Stayed two relaxing weeks here with our kids (13 & 11) Aug 4th-17th. We did not do the all-inclusive. Instead we walked (.4 mile) to the grocery and cooked in the apartment or grilled (LP) outside for breakfasts, most lunches, and a few dinners. We loved the Ocean-view bar at happy hours. Our kids made friends at the pools and allowed us some time to […] relax on the beach. Two little things: 1. We booked the "Run of the House" which can be either a studio or a one-bedroom (based on availability). I thought we had booked a one bedroom - we made due in a studio. This point was not made clear on the Hotels.com website that the decision was made by the resort. 2. There are 5 resorts under one Divi name (initially confusing). When we first arrived they placed us in a horible room. It needed a paint job, the AC was loud, overall poorly maintained. When we asked for another room we were provided with better accomodations. Not only is the location bad, but this place is not nice. Thought we would save some money by staying here, but we where totally disappointed. Ended up checking out early and going elsewhere. Be very wary of pre-paying for a room that will not refund your money for early check out. That is clearly a sign that they are used to people wanting to check […] out early. Room was large, but smelled like bleach, air conditioner was noisy, place is outdated and needs a rehab, electricity went out, and the concierge/main lobby is so far away. No internet in rooms. It was clean and nice...the beach was too rocky so you need to wear shoes to swim. It's far from the shops need to take a bus or rent a car to get to shopping. If you don't bring food you were subjected to pay high prices for meals. THEY MADE US MOVE TO ANOTHER ROOM IN THE MIDDLE OF OUR STAY BECAUSE THE OWNER OF THE ROOM WE WERE IN WAS COMING INTO […] TOWN...I NEVER WOULD HAVE TAKEN THE ROOM TO BEGIN WITH IF WE HAD TO PACK ALL OF OUR STUFF UP AND MOVE...WE WERE HERE FOR A WEDDING AND ALL OUR CLOTHES THAT WERE HUNG HAD TO BE REPACKED AND MOVED AND REHUNG. Muy recomendable para quien quiere descansar y pasar unas lindas vacaciones en un lugar agradable.

Local lindo, próximo de tudo, bem família, gostamos muito, férias ótima. valeu.

Un Hotel con todas las comodidades dentro de la habitacion, tranquilo, super comodo, bien ubicado, con playa, piscina, parrilla, todo lo que se puede pedir, lo unico es que no tiene internet.

APÓS MUITA CONFUSÃO PARA FAZER O CHECK-IN, POIS A ATENDENTE NÃO "ACHAVA" MINHA RESERVA, ENQUANTO ERAMOS TORTURADOS PELOS MOSQUITOS, TIVEMOS DE ANDAR "LÉGUAS" ATÉ O NOSSO QUARTO, O QUAL É BEM SIMPLES.... UMA NOITE FOI O SUFICENTE PARA IR EMBORA DALI!

Fue estupenda,, fueron cuatro dias en familia como los deseabamos,, bella habitacion,, con todas las comodidades full equipada y tranquila ,, playa a dos pasos y piscinita prive,, solo una cosa nos falto!!! el internet en la habitacion!! solo eso!!! Por lo demas buenisima!! Nota: La limpieza excelente, pero tardan deberian realizarla mas temprano!!

O Hotel tem boa estrutura, um restaurante top de linha - Windows on Aruba - e a praia é fantástica. Porém, fica distante de Palm Beach onde está situado a maioria dos restaurantes e a vida noturna.O hotel dificulta alguns serviços para quem não adquire o pacote de all inclusive. Na minha opinião este tipo de pacote não vale apena em Aruba.

Para nuestras vacaciones, nos parecio que el Hotel esta muy bien ubicado, cerca del centro, el Hotel cuenta con varias piscinas, restaurantes y bares. Las habitaciones son muy comodas, porque estan equipadas hasta con cocina. Buena Playa.
