A very pleasant hotel. Very helpful staff, they made sure we had a map with the hotel location clearly marked and the locations of the major tourist spots. Everyone spoke excellent English (our Greek is very poor!). Breakfast was very good - always plenty of options and good service. There is a nice bar and pool at the top of the hotel - but the drinks […] are pricey as you might expect in a hotel (we paid more for two non-alcoholic drinks than we did for an excellent meal later that even). It was about an easy 15 min walk from the central Metro station (Monastakis) - which is on the direct line to the main airport. If you have a small case or suitcase on wheels, you can easily walk to the hotel from the Metro station if you are reasonably fit. Our room only had a shower (no bath) so make sure you request a room type with a bath if this is important. Saying that, the shower was excellent with a nice hand shower and a large rose main shower. The hotel has free wifi (as do many places in Athens) so that was really useful. The local area looked a bit run down, but we walked to and from the hotel at night over the weekend with no problems or any concern about our safety. Skaityti daugiau

Our room was really small, despite upgrading, but the most disappointing factor was the neighborhood. It was not the safest to safe the least. We saw this hotel on The Today show and had hoped for better quality and definitely in a better neighborhood. We would not stay here again.

Not bad for the price. Small rooms for North American standards, however it has everything you need. Excellent location. 10 mins away from Acroplis and Plaka. close to metro stations. Rooftop restaurant is amazing. I would stay there again.

We stayed at the Fresh Hotel for 1 night after returning from Santorini mad before flying home. It was the reviews on hotels.com, combined with the good price that made me pick this place. We were not disappointed! Our room was beautiful and modern, the bed super comfortable and the air conditioning very responsive. The free WiFi was also great - fast […] and easy to access.. The front desk crew were always helpful. The rooftop pool area and restaurant were very nice and the food they serve was delicious! The only tiny complaint I have is that the hot food at the breakfast buffet was more like Luke-warm food, but the fresh orange juice pretty much made up for that. We stayed at the hotel for one night and was returning a couple days later for another night and was so happy that the staff was so helpful and allowed us to store our luggage with them for a couple of days. The hotel was very modern and clean. The staff was so friendly and always willing to help. would definitely stay here again.

Great location - I was a bit frightened because some reviews mentioned the hotel was in a seedy area, but that really isn't the case. The hotel was fresh and updated, with a central, convenient location. I loved the look of the hotel, along with the rooftop bar. restaurant, and pool. Great breakfast spread, and helpful staff.

Great hotel - modern, comfortable, great location, good price, great food & pool. We stayed on our way to the Greek islands and it was handily located near the Acropolis, but alos centrally located between the airport where we flew in and the port where we were due to catch a ferry. We had a very enjoyable stay at The Fresh Hotel. The room was very clean and functional. There was something for everyone at breakfast! The pool and Air Bar were lovely areas and very relaxing. The hotel is in walking distance of the Agora and restaurants.

Reading some other reviews about the location before my stay, I was slightly anxious. However, the location although slightly rundown, felt safe during the day and night. We stayed at Fresh Hotel for a week in December. It was very clean and the staff were friendly. We appreciated the traditional cookies that we received every day at the front desk, as well as the spoon sweets that welcomed us to the room the first day. The breakfast buffet is wonderful! There are a lot of food options, and it was a huge plus to the […] hotel. The neighborhood is within walking distance to the Acropolis, however, it is not directly in Plaka. It is right near the meat and fish market, and the vegetable and fruit markets, which is really neat during the day, but it means that the area is very busy. I have stayed at Fresh twice now and would have no hesitation in staying again. I love the modern decor, the roof terrace and bar and also the warmth of the lobby (both the reception and the fireside area). People do need to be aware that the surrounding neighbourhood is a little 'dodgy' however. In the daytime it is fine and you are within walking […] distance of many of the sights. At night stick to taxis however and if you do that, you'll be fine. I think the good value that the hotel offers is a reflection of this and I appreciate that. I will definitely return! This hotel is conveniently situated for buses and the Metro. Although close to the dodgy Omonia Square it is also adjacent to the much more upmarket distirct of Monostiraki. We experienced no problems and i would recommend this hotel to anyone. The rooftop bar and pool are beautiful with good views of the Acropolis

Hotel is located close to the Acroplis and the main shopping. The staff are friendly and helpful. Our bed was very comfortable and the rooms were clean. Only problem was the shower leaked water everywhere which is quite annoying and the bathroom is tiny. The breakfast is fantastic with fresh frui, fresh bakery items and even freshly squeezed orange […] juice. The pool area is also fantastic and gives you a great view of the Acropolis. I would definitely stay in the Fresh Hotel again. It is centrally located near the city hall and within walking distance of both Omonia Square and Monastiraki Square Square via Athinas Street. The Acropolis is a modest uphill walk from Monastiraki. The view at night of the lighted Acropolis from the hotel's roof is spectacular. Our room was very clean […] and well appointed, and the included breakfast was excellent. The TV has channels in several languages including English. We can't compliment the staff enough for their helpful attitude. They were always willing to help out (such as finding a private car to transport someone during the transportation strike which happened while we were there) or taking us to a nearby store to get a watch battery. The neighborhood at night can be a little worrisome, but we had no problems. One lady had an encounter with a street person across from the hotel when she arrived, but the staff immediately came to her assistance and got the man on his way and the lady into the lobby without further incident. Our taxi driver said the Fresh Hotel was the best value in Athens and we certainly agree. All in all we were very pleased with our stay at the Fresh Hotel. Skaityti daugiau

Although in the grittier part of Athens, Fresh is conveniently located to two subway stops and the less touristy part of Athens (Psyrri). Fantastic modern design and furnishings. Friendly and knowledgable service. Tasty breakfast buffet. Clean and comfortable. Excellent value.

Really funky design hotel, very helpful staff, convenient location and we booked for a really reasonable price. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends/family travelling to Athens, and wouldn't hestitate to book again should I return.

Fresh is a beautiful hotel, very clean, comfortable and reasonably well located. The rooftop pool/bar is amazing with stunning views over Athens and Acropolis. The staff were very friendly and spoke English quite well. The buffet breakfast was quite good as far as buffets go. A local friend of ours told us that the area around the hotel is a very dangerous […] part of town, however we had absolutely no trouble at all even walking around late at night. Fresh Hotel was both a pleasant surprise and also had some annoyances. The rooms are amazing, expecially the high floor west facing rooms with views of the acropolis and the setting sun. The rooms are clean, stylish, comfortable and safe. The Korres bath products are great. However, the Front Desk staff leaves something to be desired. Checking in took […] an eternity, and checking out took almost as long. Hire some more staff people! The rooftop pool and bar are great, with exceptional creative cocktails although they cost 11-15 euro each! the hotel offered airport transit and this is one of the reasons why we picked it. we were there during the taxi strike and no pickups were offered. we were told we had to book it in advance when we called to confirm our flight arrival time. there was of course no space available. we were never notified that we had to schedule in advance or that it […] could be full and we woud be left taking the metro. we also need transit back to the airport for an early morning flight but the earliest available departure was 8am and our flight was at 8.50am so they said they would try and get us other means of transport. i guess they found someone to drive us but it was going to be 55 euros. so we ended up getting up at 5am and taking the metro. the hotel itself was great but the location was very seedy. leaving the hotel at 5.30 for the metro the streets had prostitues and men heckling us. We had to check out earlier than usual to get to the port, and the receptionist arranged to have breakfast ready for us to take with!!!!!!........ But the surrounding neighborhood is very very bad, there were prostitudes […] just outside the hotel picking up customers! you could not move arount during the night on foot as there are a lot of drug addicts in the streets acting strangly, and a lot of homeless people sleeping on the side of the pavements! I only had a one night stay but i was offered transfer services to and from the port and airport, the room was clean and modern, with a very comfortable bed and amazing pillows!! I know on many sites The Fresh Hotel gets slammed for being in a "sketchy" neighborhood. First of all, the neighborhood is not any more dangerous than any other neighborhood in a major city. If you are a smart traveler with some common sense, you'll be perfectly safe. Secondly, it's not the hotel's fault if you don't like the neighborhood--they can […] only control what goes on inside their establishment. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful--probably some of the best service I've received from any hotel in any country that I've traveled. The rooftop bar has an unmatched view of the Acropolis and Lykavittos Hill. Simple, sparse, clean, bright, wonderful personnel, great rooftop bar/dining, and a pool. Views of the Acropolis from the roof. Not the best neighborhood, but the metro is only a 5 minute walk away.

We stayed over at the Fresh Hotel on our return from Santorini and before flying out the next day for home. Athens itself was quite a jolt after being on a very tourist-friendly island for a week. The taxi driver was a little crazed and the staff at the hotel seemed to be so, as well. They were nice enough but seemed to be very busy (at 11pm at night). […] The condition of the hotel was nice and fairly modern, same as the room. The most enjoyable part was going to eat at the restaurant on top of the hotel. What a view! The food was great as well as the service. Pool was small but elegant.
