the hotel was rundown and not very clean. Parking was difficult, especially in the evenings and late at night. The pool looked kind of gross, I chose not to use it. Location was convenient, but overall I would not return there if I had other options.

we had a nice stay at this hotel only complaint was that the beds were too small. The hotel was very convient to amusement and restaurants. very clean.

The stay was ok. It could have been better. One side of the hotel was closed and pets were very loud. One two three oclock in the am is so annoying. Than tyring to sleep when barking dog want stop is very un pleasent. For what I spent on the hotel I thought it would have been a little better than it was. Next time have the hotel complete and things […] together and ask them if they want to stay by pets or not bc some people may be allergic to pets. No I would not stay at that hotel again. Sea mist was a horrible pick. Our bed had sand in it. You can hear water from the bathroom running constantly throughout the night. The front desk was unfriendly and rude. Location was on the less desirable side of myrtle beach. The elevator and stairwell were dirty and run down. Will not be coming back to Sea Mist. Do not recommend this hotel!

I was expecting to be very underwhelmed based on previous reviews, but instead found a clean room, furniture in decent shape and our hotel floor (flr 10) pretty clean as well (the driftwood) My family only stayed 1 night, so we didnt cook, etc.....the appliances were a little old but seemed to work well-For the $, it's a good deal for a basic family […] trip if you're not going to stay indoors much-If I were staying for a wk or more vacation, I would probably pick a nicer hotel w/better amenities and atmosphere-the pool for our bldg was small, crowded and looked dirty (we went by there in the late evening, it is probably better to go in early am) A nice surprise was the hotel theatre that played The Hobbit-it was clean, comfortable and my boys enjoyed themselves-Some of the bldgs had rooms that you enter from outside, which looked like a motel or the projects?-From what I saw the driftwood and tides bldgs were the nicer bldgs-Lastly, the staff at check in were very professional and accommodating-Overall, if you are picky, and cant forgive some things, then pick another hotel-If you are staying for 1-2 nights and can tolerate a little noise, family or tournament atmosphere and not the most up to date decor, then this hotel will suit you fine- Enjoy! First room was old and smelled like mold and small. We complained and guess services made things better by moving us to another room that was a lot nicer and update. We enjoyed our stay once we got into the new room. The free movie on Saturday night was also a bonus!! I could stay at the Draftwood rooms again!!

I was an avarage hotel. As this days North Beach has more options with good quality. I would not prefer to stay again as their pooll was in very bad condition and hotel was not clean. Old furniture, pool, room look, facility and staff all are very old. They need to do remodeling.

Dirty, old, run-down hotel. Don't ever stay here. Needs to be demolished and built new. Pool costs $3 per day to use! Nothing but partying teenagers stay here. Check in a block from hotel and parking was two blocks from hotel. Gross hallways, elevator and room. Only thing good was the view, away from the hotel. Gave us a basement room overlooking a […] pool that didn't work, our door was off of the underground parking lot. Said it was an "ocean view" room, which we paid for. First..the staff were very curtious and eager to please, however I was extremely dissapointed in this hotel. The room had a t.v that should have been thrown off the 7th floor. The bathroom vent was filthy, no water pressure, thin walls and doors, beds uncomfortable. The indoor pool was down for maintenance which left only one available two buildings […] away. The layout of Sea Mist is odd. Multiple buildings and facilites cover a two to three block span. The waterpark on the premises will charge you 3$ per person. Do not stay in the SURF building! Book a room in the Driftwood Unit, if you can stand the teens. Extremely old structure and unkept .

The stay was ok. The front desk needs to pay more attention to the guests in there rooms Ans it could have been cleaner but other that it was great.

It was Ana amazing time although I was disappointed to see old food left behind in a pan that was placed back in the cabinets! Overall the staff was very friendly and had enough things to do when weather wasn't always up to par. If definitely be back

Room was clean but was not ocean front as stated. Indoor pool and hot tub was closed and we were not told. Location is good being right in the middle of everything. The blankets and sheets on the bed had small holes in them. Overall, not too bad but if I would have known all this I would have chosen a different more updated hotel.

I think the hotel and the staff were amazing! we started off at the Polynesian where i was discusted. It was filthy and smelled. Hotels.com immediately helped my get into the Sea Mist which was an amazing stay.

I had some problems because they didn't have my room ready when I arrived. I had to wait for about 30 minutes until it was ready also they didn't give me any good information or directions about where my room was located and I had to walk back in forth in the rain to find my room with all three of my kids.

Very happy with the location and friendly staff. The floor in our room could have used a good cleaning. Overall very glad we choose the Sea Mist Resort.

Good amenities,wish the motel would have been on the boardwalk was a few blocks down.ground floor ocean front room but couldn't see the ocean for the wall and grass had to walk out on patio to view it.Hotel staff friendly our tile floor looked ok but was very dirty would leave your socks black.

The room were dated I didnot enjoy my stay took my grandson for spring break vacation could not connect their video console to tv because it was so outdated the in door pool was not open. Ive been waiting 2 months for this trip and waking up to see a ocean front view.....well my view was the swimming pool but if I tip tow over the pool I could see the ocean....that was my only downfall

The view from our room was nice and the location was good. Unfortunately we were disappointed to find the indoor pool shut down and the elevator service was very slow.

All was great. Friendly staff and nice location. Ventilation for the indoor pool area would be nice. I was just sitting watching my kids swim but had to leave because of my eyes burning. We will definitely stay at the Sea Mist again.

The check in staff was'nt welcoming. First trip to myrtle beach in awhile. The ocenview room was'nt as pleasant as the oceanfront room. Not much view of the ocean. The hotel is old. The breakfast at Tinas was excellant. The service was good, but would'nt stay at this particular hotel again, when i visit the beach.

Only one indoor pool operational and the one that was steam burned your eyes no filtration system working room was suppose to be ocean front was not no stove or hair dryer had to buy soap and the list goes on and on :-(

We were a family of 8 renting 3 rooms... I asked when I booked & when I arrived to put us side by side.... Why is that so hard for a hotel to do?

Lots of people being checked in (i guess due to spring break) but line did move kinda quickly. Not alot of close/convenient parking spaces. Rooms could use some upgrades/remodeling. Did not like the fact that the many pools and play areas where not all open (some closed due to maintenance) and there was an extra fee to get in. I did not go but heard […] the fees being explained to a person ahead of me. That was the main reason I picked this hotel. We arrived on a Saturday afternoon and was unable to check in to our rooms at 4pm. We had to wait around until almost 5pm because our rooms were not ready. Check out time is 11am....In addition, the pictures of the resort are very misleading. The pool area pics shown were not at our particular building and most of the pools were closed. You even had […] to pay extra to use the resort waterpark! The elevator was SLOW and shaky. The inside of the actual rooms were the only decent thing about this hotel. First impression was nice. Great beach view and fairly comfortable room. Later the first night we had water leaking from the ceiling in the bathroom. We requested a new room. At first they dragged their feet, but after persistant phone calls to the front desk, they gave us a new room. House keeping never came to our room in the 3 days we were there. […] We did exchange towels with them outside the room one day. We were compensated for our troubles of the first night. The facilities were poorly managed. The indoor pool was advertised to us as we were checking. Turns out it was closed for maintenance (really lack of maintenance). Location is good. The "dog parks" were cages no bigger than 10x10 for some. Looks like a lot of corners were cut, overall 2/5 stars.

Hotel was dirty. Pools were very dirty and one of the pools was out of service. I wouldn't touch the hot tub if someone payed me. It was a good thing the beach was there for my family and I to enjoy.

Only 2 elivators for the whole building parking was all over the place this hotel is sprawled out over about 4 blocks the rooms were clean and the service was friendly but the poolin our building was closed but I did have a good time once I figured out we're everything was

We stayed at the Sea Mist for three nights and loved it. It's an older resort, the staff are awesome. The water park and pools are well maintained. Perfect location . Get a room oceanfront... You won't be dissappointed!!!!
