Location very close to Easton's Beach but off main thoroughfare, restaurants close by. King bed very comfortable. Freezer in little fridge. Couch was close to kitchenette area, but TV view a little far. TV is not flat screen but lots of channels. Rather poor lighting of foyer area. Slightly dated and only one elevator but, as off-season, not too busy. […] Had a comfortable 4 night stay and would return, overall good value. Newport is of course a terrific destination as always. Excellent location, can walk to start of Cliff Walk! Excellent bars virtually next door offering breakfast, dinners and late night drinks! Rooms are huge, large bed in separate room to sofa bed!

This is the second time we stayed at the Atlantic Beach Hotel and we were not disappointed. The rooms were great and the staff second to none.

I booked this hotel really not knowing the area that well but wanted a hotel close to downtown Newport and also reasonable and based my decision on reviews. It was awesome!! Perfect location - great restaurants and lounges that are right there in walking distance and beautiful views of the water. The hotel staff was great, the room/suite was like an […] apartment. Very clean and bed and linens/pillows were awesome - excellent quality. Really nice buffet breakfast set up in the lobby on Sunday morning - hot eggs & sausage along with continental breakfast. Overall very impressed! Bed slightly harder then I like but room size was impressive. I wish we had more time to enjoy our room.

The service at this hotel was excellent. The room is large and comfortable, The place is not fancy but there is everything you need. A walk out the door takes you right to a beautiful beach and a lot of good restaurants. I would definitely go back.

I have stayed at this facility many times and it has gone down hill significantly. Everything is worn looking. There was dirt on the light switches in the bathroom and the bathroom itself needed a serious cleaning.

Stayed during the off season. Spacious room and pretty view, friendly staff and clean. My room was very quiet. There are some rooms close to the near by tavern that sometimes has live music. The staff was extremely pleasant and the room layout was great. The woman at the front desk upgrade our room at no charge just because it was available.

While the furnishings are not fashionable or modern, Atlantic Beach Hotel & Suites was a pleasant surprise: the hotel was exceptionally clean (no weird hotel smells), the bed extremely comfortable and the location desirable. The location of this hotel is ideal if you want views, and a sense of the water. I am an "off-season" visitor, who is doing some work in the area. The refrigerator and microwave were perfect for me, as i could get take out food for some of the eves. The rug and couch are a little old, the wallpaper is a little old, but the hotel is clean. I looked at […] other places (as I will be returning) and this huge room was the best deal by far. There may be cheaper rooms, but not on the water. There might be newer rooms, but not even half as large. Covered parking was a plus, as it snowed! The unit was more than adequate with a comfortable bed, microwave, coffee pot and small fridge. The entry to the room did not have any light which was a bit uncomfortable considering the closet was in this area with double doors and the entrance to the bathroom. You enter into a dark room if you get their after sundown and there aren't any lights until […] you are halfway across the room. The smoke detector was chirping as we settled in and the front desk stated they didn't have any maintenance workers on site. I climbed up on the chair and played around with it enough until it stopped. The breakfast was more than what we expected. Cereal, yogurt, fruit, microwave egg sandwiches and some small pastries along with coffee and juices. Frequent visitors to Newport. First time at Atlantic Beach Resorts. GREAT rate for a king suite ($65!). Love the hotel, love the proximity to everything. Unfortunately, this hotel is not affordable for us during peak seasons. What a shame. We will look them up for winterfest 2014.

The bed was big, there was a lounge area which was nice, and the sheets were comfortable. We stayed here in February, so the retes were great. It was nice to still be on the ocean, even though it was the winter!

We booked this last minute as a place to stay that was close to the pub our friend's band was playing (Rusty's...right next door!!) Being the winter, the price was unreal! If you're going out in this area or Newport, this place is great!

A good value hotel which is convenient to most everything in Middletown and Newport R.I. Comfortable hotel with individual control of heating and airconditioning. Sparse breakfast offered.

A large suite with a super-sized king sized bed and 2 TV's. It was immaculately clean and the location was perfect. The desk staff was pleasant and accommodating. The rug looked rather worn but overall, the room was great. I recommend this hotel highly.

Bed was very hard and pillows were uncomfortable as well as tiny making for difficult sleeping. The staff was very nice and helpful, the room was laid out nicely with a wonderful view of Big Pond. The bathroom was small for a suite and the facet control was broken. Plenty of room for my wife and I. Close to the beach and downtown Newport. Many choices of places to eat within walking distance. The off season rates were cheap. I would stay here again. Very happy with our stay !!

We stayed at the hotel for a quick weekend getaway to see the mansions. The room was super clean and the bed firm and comfortable. The staff was quick to help with any problems. The blow dryer in the room wasn't working but the staff brought another one up right away. I read the complaints about the breakfast but did not find any problems. It's a continental […] breakfast but with many choices-yogurt, cereal, oatmeal, danish. muffins, fruit and plenty of coffee or tea along with OJ. There were also some breakfast sandwiches that you can microwave-sort of fast food type. Just beware, there is no real seating in the lobby for breakfast but they do provide trays for you to take your breakfast up to the room. The decor is a little old fashioned but well kept and clean. You also get 10% off your meal at the two restaurants across the street. We had a very nice lunch at the Atlantic Beach Club. It must be gorgeous in the summer with the beach across the street! The rooms are large, and the hotel is a real bargain. The restaurants nearby have good food, and have choices as to whether you want to go high or low end.
