We had nothing but praise for this hotel - except that the elevator was a tad tiny. Apart from that, it is situated in a great area for variety of food restaurants and an easy walk to the Opera and shops.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean. Hotel was old, but had charm. Breakfast was good and there was coffee or tea all day. I would definitely stay here again, as the market was a block away with lots of restaurants, and also close to the subway.

Second visit to the Beethoven and almost couldn't fault it. Our bedroom was spacious and tastefully decorated, public rooms smart, breakfast fresh and great variety. Staff helpful and friendly. Good internet connection. The location is difficult to beat, Secession house round the corner, Karlsplatz tube a short walk, the Ring with trams only around […] 200m. Museum Quarter, BurgTheater, StaatsOper, Kartnerstrasse, Mariahilfestrasse all easy walks. Stephansdom is only a 15 minute walk away. The only minor nuisance? Comfortable, generous bedroom and large clean bathroom. Very quiet even though we were right next to the lift. Fantastic communal areas. Very good breakfast. Pleasant and helpful staff. Ideal location on the edge of the very centre and next to lots of restaurants and bars. Highly recommended.

The hotel is in a central location, just steps away from the Vienna Theater and the Nachsmarkt for late night eating galore. The famous Cafe Museum is open late for soup and snacks. There are tons of restaurants nearby and the famous Vienna opera house is just 2 blocks away where you can watch a full opera with standing room tickets at only 4€, a little […] tiring to stand for 3 hrs, but how convenient to have a hotel room just 2 blocks away! Albertina, the museum quarter with all the famous works of art, music and 7,000 years of crowned jewels, the Belvedere Palace that stores Gustav Klimt are all just a few blocks or tram stops away. The world famous Secession is right at Karlplatz Ubahn station, from which you can travel directly to Schönbrunn Palace on one line. St Stephan's Cathedral and the city center is 10 mins walking distance past the Opera house. Aside from the perfect location, we received a warm welcome upon arrival by the wonderful reception staff. There is WiFi on each floor. Our room was small with 2 twin beds and nice view of the street. My friend changed to a single room which was much nicer with large double bed and red velvet decoration. The rooms were worth every penny. The hotel was charming and we were surprised at the beautiful setup for breakfast. We could have sat in the breakfast room for hours but had too much sightseeing on our schedule. The staff, level of service, comfort of the rooms made for a wonderful wknd and tour of Vienna. Good breakfast. Nice tea/coffee in the lounge in the afternoon. Good location right off the nashmarkt, so lots of places to eat nearby. Clean too. Easy walk to historic sites.

The Hotel was fantastic in many ways. The location next to the market and close to the Opera house and Succession building provided a very central location for the activities we were interested in and right next to the underground rail system. The hotel provided quality service with an excellent breakfast and a high quality small intimate concert on […] the Sunday night, including a complimentary glass of champagne. This was a wonderful hotel. It had everything we wanted. It is small, modern and the location is absolutely perfect. It is located on a small quiet side street where maybe 10 cars travel. It is a half a block from the main market in the city where food and many restaurants are located. It is a very short walk to all the sights of the city. We had a wonderful stay in this hotel in September. The rooms and bathrooms are spotless clean, albeit bedrooms are on the small side, they are very comfortable. My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights at the beginning of September 2012. We liked its location which was convenient for exploring Vienna and for having various and reasonably priced meal in the area around the market. The hotel was nice, well located (border line of city center). The room was clean and the staff was very nice. Excelent breakfast buffet. The only issue was the bath tub with shower is a little strech and the pillows too soft. But the relation quality price was good. If I need to come back I be happy to stay there again.

Large and nice room with a great bath and comfortable beds. It had everything I was looking for in downtown hotel. Breakfast was very nice on the second floor with the large bright windows. Staff was very helpful.We like the hotel so much we stayed another night. Highly recommended, good value.

We were very pleased with our two separate stays at the Hotel Beethovan (at the beginning and end of our Eastern European tour). The location is excellent, a block from the Market, two blocks from a Metro stop, and an easy ten minute walk to the Opera House. The staff was very friendly and helpful with restuaurant recommendations. The rooms are beautifully […] appointed, and we appreciated the free Wifi. But the best part of all was the breakfast, which is truly outstanding. On our last night, we had to leave at 4am to catch an early flight and missed breakfast, but the staff generously provided us with coffee and a bag of breakfast treats to take with to the airport. A smart, mid-size hotel in a quiet side street, close to restaurants, cafes, market supermarkets and with excellent public transport links for the airport and tourist attractions. The Opera House and main shopping street are a 5 minute walk with beautiful parks also close by. The bedroom was comfortable with good quality beds, fridge, modern bathroom […] and air conditioning. Some carpets are a little faded but this did not detract from the well presented reception, breakfast room and lounge. The quality of the breakfast was first class and the availability of complimentary tea and coffee throughout the day and evening a welcome bonus. Extremely helpful staff, good varied buffet breakfast, room was newly furnished with new huge step in shower on 5th floor away from any sort of noise, and the lounge had a free supply of tea and coffee on tap 24 hours a day, Hotel in the centre of Vienna so walkable to all the attractions only time we decided to take the tube was to see the Schonbrunn […] and to go to an evening concert at the Kursalon at the City Park. Although the Beethoven didn't have a bar there were plenty in the vincinity and restaurants abounded in the Naschmarkt which was just across the road. This hotel was very easy to get to from the airport and was in an ideal location for exploring Vienna. The hotel was excellent with a very good buffet breakfast and a free tea/coffee lounge available all day. the staff were helpful and spoke good English. An excellent hotel.

We were so pleasantly surprised by the convenient location and comfort level of this hotel. Upon arrival, we were upgraded to a larger room, which was great -- roomy, well furnished, and spotless. Breakfast was included in our room rate, and it was excellent, including eggs and other non-standard "Continental breakfast" fare. Coming after a very ordinary stay in Paris, this hotel was like paradise. The bed and room were so comfortable. Friendly staff. Delicious breakfast. Perfect wifi. Excellent tv with extensive range of cable channels. Not in old town city centre but incredibly close to walk there. Very close to walk to the opera house.
