Comfy room, but the aircon was a bit hit or miss and noisy. Great hotel for the price, but would probably stay closer to the Esplanade next time.

The hotel was good value, I had a shared bathroom room which was fine, but only one male shower and toilet on the floor wasn't quite enough.

Very happy with our stay. The beds in particular were wonderful - very comfortable with good pillows. Plenty of space in the room with the air conditioner set at an ideal temperature. Staff were all very helpful and friendly.

We were here around Easter break so service was limited and the shuttle services was not running. Its a nice stroll into town centre. The double bed in one room was comfortable with extra pillows available but the other had springs poking through. We used extra blankets to pad it out. After my experience at this hotel, I will no longer consider staying again. The staff were not all that friendly, the room had a dead cock roach in it! And the air-con was set to 23C and there was no remote to change it and the staff refused to change it for comfort. It's stupid at night time when outside is 22C and its hotter inside the ROOM!

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND! Totally inconveniently situated about a 15-20min walk from the main strip this motel is located next to the Cairns mental health clinic. The room was tiny and the towels in desperate need of replacement. The bathroom/toilet light flickered and then switched off. It is a decent hotel for a few nights. Clean rooms, decent air conditioning (set to 23.5), very good free breakfast. 15 min walk to the pier. nothing fancy, but an average clean hotel.

We booked this hotel primarily because it offered a free shuttle from the airport.During our 3 week holiday Cairns was the only location we did not have a car and a shuttle was of primary concern. As per our booking confirmation we called to provide them with our flight timings only to be told they were not running it on that day! Infact, the return […] shuttle was also not available. So we were promised something which they knew would not be available! On checking in the reception was closed and we had to get our keys from the safe. On walking up two floors with heavy luggage (no lifts) we saw our room had not been cleaned, the beds were undone, the toilets were dirty and the most unhygienic smell surrounded us! We had to contact emergency manager and get a new room sorted. The management even decides what temperature you MUST have in your room. They 'say' the aircon is fixed at 23 degrees. But, I who freezes at even 25 could not sleep a wink at night! The ac would go into econ mode every few minutes and the room was hot. I must say it was a long long night! If the night was not bad enough we had staff members knocking on our door at 9:45am asking when we would check out which was at 10:00am. This was like icing on the cake! Oh yes, one last thing- if you book a tour through them you get free wifi. But getting limited or unlimited access is completely dependant on who you speak to and how good their day has been! First Room we were offered smelt damp. Changed room. Rooms very small. Internet charged for but did not as advertised work in the room. Breakfast was very basis.

The hotel is 20 min walking to the main hotspot. It is clean and nice but on sundays they dont clean the rooms. Its a nice hotel but there are many other hostels near the Esplanade so you don't have to walk all that way back to the hotel because it doesn't have a restaurant. Ah it includes a free shuttle from the hotel to the airport.

This hotel was exactly what I would expect for the price. It was in easy walking distance for most of the town. It was clean and very well maintained although not shiny and new. The rooms are small but adequate since we were only in them for sleep and showers. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was toast and cold cereal but there was […] fresh juice and brewed coffed (this is a rarity in Australia). The airport transfer could be a problem as they only have 2 trips back to the airport each day. my stay was very comfortable - the staff at all times were very polite and co-operative - the room was clean - and the bed comfortable - only one suggestions we were in room B138 on the ground floor - i would have felt more secure if the sliding doors had security screens -lockable- the doors in our rooms only had the basis lock - no chain locks on […] the main entry door to our room and no security doors on the sliding door leading to the walkway - the walk way was a main access for other rooms on the ground floor to the main reception area - other than this one issue the overall rating is a 5 - we are looking to returning to cairns in 2013 and i will be booking to stay in the Queens Court and if possible the same room - loved the lounge and BBq area - had a few wines and pleasant conversations with other quests who had the same idea in the afternoon Skaityti daugiau

They need new pillows and updated mattresses. The room was clean but the towels were crunchy and the bed uncomfortable. Nothing to set this place apart from other 2 star hotels. What, it isn't a 2 star hotel..... well what can I say. Not worth it.

We had a one night stay while waiting for flight out. The pool was dirty and not usable. Smokers used the pool area, so we could not. Disappointed.

We stayed in the Queens Hotel for 2 nights, before travelling up north to the Daintree National Park. As a family of 3 we had a suite of 2 rooms which were en-suite. There were 2 TV's, useful when you have a teenager!! it was all very clean and comfortable. Internet access was available for a small fee. Hotel very convenient for city centre and sights. […] Just a few minutes walk to the esplanade and into town. Nice shopping. Cairns has Night Markets with food hall and massage facilities (under a hotel). Massage was great and very reasonable, but thought the market rather small and expensive (like most things in Australia!). Excellant pub near hotel called "the Cock and Bull". Hotel staff were helpfull very friendly at all times. Breakfast was fresh and very enjoyable befor heading off for touring the area. Courtesy pick up from the Airport is a bonus. My only negative was our room was not cleaned two days in a row. The sitting areas down stairs were enjoyable comfortable and a place to relax away from the Hotel room. BBQ […] area is great for cooking up a meal to enjoy in the garden setting. Two washing machines and one dryer did present a problem, if we were not in the vicinity and able to watch te laundry we would have had our washing removed for others to use, Overall pleasant Hotel excellent parking, more important close and within walking distance to everything. No complaints at all. We were impressed by the rooms and the breakfasts were plentiful and set us up for a wonderful stay. Staff were friendly and helpful organising taxi to the airport etc. Cleanliness was exceptional - couldn't find a cobweb anywhere!!!

Room was excellent, especially the upgrade, for the cost involved. Breakfast was plentiful. Check-in and Check-out was quicl and efficient by staff, who were very pleasant and helpful.

I wish I had paid more and got a better room, it was right on a busy road and the air con was noisy and pre set too cold, we had to share a toilet with the whole floor and had to drag our suitcases up a lot of stairs. Cheap rooms means a bad nights sleep, let it be a warning!

Really terrific value for money. charge for wi fi not good and it didn't work well anyway. Safe in room was broken. No fly wire on the windows. BUT it was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. The included breakfast was fine.

Queens Court served its purpose as a base for a couple of days in (not so sunny) Cairns. The hotel is located just off the fringe of the CBD but is still well within walking distance and easily found on the main street to the airport. The main shopping centre is also very handy. The room was on the small side but this was not unexpected for the budget […] price which included a basic breakfast. Facilities in the room were basic but included all I needed. The only gripe was the box air-conditioner did not work properly. The hotel has a free airport pickup and dropoff service but this was of no use to me as it doesn't operate on weekends or before 10.00am.
