Knolls Resort Motel - Wildwood

The "resort" is a 60's era motel on the main drag. Our room was adjacent to the sidewalk. Every night there was drag racing out on the street. Apparently mufflers are not required in Wildwood. There was a coffee maker but no coffee cups. There was not enough parking for all of the rooms. Parking was under part of the motel, one car parked up against […] another. No chance of a fast escape. The hotel was clean. The stairs were very narrow and we had to climb many stairs to get to our room. The railing was a bit scary because it was very low. I don't believe it would pass inspection because of the large gaps in between the railing parts. The hotel itself was old but very acceptable. The staff was nice and the rooms were kept clean.

Right for the price. Used it to stay for irish weekend. Not anything fancy, but friendly staff and clean room.

Although old, these management guys did their best to satisfy their customers. It was a week after Labor Day weekend and quite quiet in town. It was close to the beach and boardwalk and also Rio Grande Route 47 street to the Garden State Parkway, which made it easy to come in and out of town.

I thought the place was nice. A little small for three adults and a baby, but clean. The staff was very nice. The pool is very clean.

I usually don't leave reviews, but with the mixed reviews I have read about this place and the experience my family and I had at this Motel, I felt obligated to write this. Reasonable price, very clean and comfortable. No bed bugs, no insects, roaches on the ceiling, no dirty anything in the rooms and definitely no unpleasant staff members. Staff members […] are very friendly and prompt to respond to any needs. Had a couple of incidents that the staff fixed immediately without any delay. Very good location, cross one street and you're on the Boardwalk. The place was very well kept and maintained. I would definitely recommend it to families. Pool is nice size and very well kept, cleaned every morning before opening time. From what I understand is that it is under new management and it is being well taken care of. Hotel shower didnt work properly, beds were decent but could be better, only one mirror and thats in the bathroom, overall just a place close to everything and somewhere to lay my head.

The front office clerk was a pleasure to talk to. Check in was a breeze. The hotel is run down, but kept in clean conditions. It was noisy @ night as guest were comin in @ all hours and doors to rooms are not too thick. The room is ok for a night or two.

Great location to the boardwalk and convention center. Management very nice! Rooms were clean. Only complaint was the beds...very uncomfortable. Looking for a place near the boardwalk and convention center would recommend this place.

The only thing we found out later that was missing was that there was suppose to be coffee in the room, but other than that we had a great time and the hotel was good and the staff friendly.

This was a last minute booking. The location of the hotel was very good. The rooms bathroom was flat out scary.

The Room was a little small but we did expect that. One issue was that the door to the room opened outward not inward...it was a potential safety hazard as we had to open the door slowly as not to "hit" anyone walking by. The room was relatively clean.... the bathroom was very clean as were the beds. the carpet did need to be cleaned. There was a slight […] musty smell in the room with the ac on..... we placed bounce sheets around the room.... for u travelers the Bounce dryer sheets r great for overcoming a musty odor. The service was very good. Steve actually walked as out to show us where to park our car as we were getting back late from the Association concert in Cape MAy. Location was very good. a block from the boardwalk and the beach. There is a dinner just across the street.... and a Macdonalds about 5 or 6 blocks away. There is a dinner on the boardwalk also. Great location... But the room smelled terrible! There was some unidentified objects coming out of the bathroom sink when the water was turned on... Things floating up out of the drain... I swear it looked and smelled like shrimp peels! And there was a sour chunky milk like substance coating the bottom of the microwave! Great location however.

the person on duty kept calling because he was worried he might have to stay longer for us to check in. the shower head flew off. the television didnt work. there was not enough room to sit down and let people pass out side your room. the pool hours change with the mood of the staff. basically a run down place. i guess they make there money either way. […] sad. would never stay again. The gentlemen at the front desk were more than helpful. The room was fairly clean, as clean as an old hotel can be. We did notice a stain on one of the comforters, the bath towels were very starched (making them hard) and although they offer a coffee maker there was no coffee in the room. It is close to everything..boardwalk, restaurants, beach and […] a 24 hr Rite Aid. Parking is extremely tight so a big vehicle could be an issue. It was a nice room in the heart of WildWood,basicaly just needed the room while visiting family,front desk helpful until you needed to move your car.......poor parking. If you didn't pull your car up to the concrete block you would be blocking other patrons in which is what happened to us!!Thanks to my small Mazda Protege I was able to get out!!! Our stay was good. The pool is a little small but you are 1 block from the beach so it didn't matter. The location was great. A grocery store right across the street and bars, liquor store within walking distance. The hotel was clean but could use upgrading on TV and softer bed and darker drapes to keep the sun from beaming in the morning. My family […] had a great time and the price was affordable. This motel was clean and has a nice pool. It was very close to the beach and boardwalk and has a nice deck to sit on and enjoy the breeze at night. There is a 24 hour cvs right next door. You will need to bring your own hair dryer and iron however.

The room was fine .it was an overnight stay after a day at the beach.The pool was great as was the staff.The sheets were clean but the bathroom,was awful..moldy shower curtin...disgusting.Toilet seat broken...Would think twice about ever staying there again..

The hotel has a fantastic location 2 blocks from the boardwalk, right across the street from a Rite Aid. The office manager is quite nice, but aside from him, I didn't see any other worker at the motel. The room was clean, although the bed was not particularly comfortable. I didn't try the TV, but everything else worked. Only downside was that there […] was no hot water in the shower and the sink drain continuously clogged. Also, the area just outside of the room (the balcony I guess) smelled like pee. My room was #39 on the third floor overlooking the pool. I didn't swim in the pool, so I can't say how it was, although I did see others swimming there. Also, please note that I didn't tell the management about the above issues because our stay was short and it didn't bother us that much. We were at Wildwood for the Soccer Beachblast and we had a great time. The hotel was great location and the hotel manager and staff were very friendly. We had no trouble parking,were able to check in earlier and we were very satisfied.....I would stay here again :)

Loved how close it was to the beach! Literally one block away. Hotel is old but it is clean, can't complain! Only downside is that there is no wifi. It was advertised but when we got there, the receptionist said they didn't have it.. Weird :S anyways, despite this I Would highly recommend to others :)

The room was very small, the beds were hard, the pillows flat, the towels and sheets stained, the medicine cabinet had tape t keep it closed, the shower curtain bar was rusted, the window in bathroom was cracked, towel bars were broken, window shade was broken so it felt like there was a night light on in the room. This hotel is outdated but good for the one night I stayed. They let me park two cars in there parking lot which was a plus most hotels do not. The room was clean and the bed wasnt dirty checked for bed bugs there was none. Front desk guy Alex? was very nice made sure we had everything we needed. All we really do in our hotels is rest and use the bathroom, so I'm not usually interested in fantastic accomodations. I simply like it clean and usefull for what I need. There were no plugs for the tub and I have children so I couldn't give them a bath. I had to spray them down "shower style" which they're both a little young for. One day stay was fine. The facility is an older, beach motel. There is the wear and tear that comes with an older building. The room was clean, the bathroom modest but recently redone, the pool was refreshing. One block from the beach. I would stay there again.

The manager was very friendly and helpful. The property was very close to the beach and boardwalk and isn't that what going to the beach is all about! Free off street parking and free beach...what a deal.

It was right in the middle of everything we wanted to do. Half of us wanted to go to the beach the other half wanted to stay at the pool. There were pleanty of restaurants, shops, even fresh fruit delivered by a local. We had a complimentary barbeque grill to use...the parking is free...the people running it were very nice.
