This is our second visit to Rome and our first stay at this hotel. Ideal location to all the sites. Very impressed with the hotel. Highly recommend the restaurant on the roof of the hotel not only for the view but for the outstanding food. Very modern rooms. Friendly staff. Would definitely stay here again.

This was the best hotel I ever stayed in. The staff was the most considerate helpful ever. All hotels would do well to try and emulate this establishment. I can't say enough great things about this terrific place. They made my stay in Rome the most comfortable it could be.

We were in Rome for 4 days and nights and absolutely loved our stay at 47 Preferred Hotel Boutique. Staff was extremely accomodating, especially since we came early and were going to have to wait for a room until check-in but they accomodated us right away. The location is close to major sites, and easy access to river crossing. I enjoyed the hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful, all english speaking. My only complaint was that the beds are hard and so are the pillows. Even so, I would stay there again.

Front desk was snooty, TV in room didn't work. Wont allow you to take a cup of coffee out of the breakfast area because 'it's to dangerous', the universal code of leaving towels on bathroom floor so they can be changes does not apply, Overall, your typical big city service. You can get the same level of quality and pay less somewhere else in Rome.

Nice classy boutique hotel in a relatively pleasant area. A little far from the nearest metro station but bus stop is right next to the hotel. Bathroom is generously sized. Great customer service. Our luggage lock couldn't work all of a sudden and the hotel sent up a maintenance guy to fix the problem within 15mins. Overall a good choice.

Cute, chic little boutique hotel, perfect for my husband and my first trip to Rome. We were very happy with the location and service. Very clean, decent bed, just a bit on the small side but so are most hotel rooms in Europe. Staff was very sweet and helped us set up a lot of sightseeing including printing off vouchers. We also had a wonderful meal […] on the top floor restaurant Circus - and they even accommodated our request for an "early" dinner at 7 (Italians eat later than Americans - reservations didn't start until 730!). We loved the hotel. The ONLY negative is that it is a bit loud (walls are thin). That is probably not unusual in Rome. People at hotel were super helpful, breakfast was great, fitness room was great, and it was very close to a great neighborhood for great dinners (Trastevere).

We enjoyed hotel Fortyseven very much. The location is GREAT. We were able to walk to all the major sites. Very modern hotel with a great bathroom and comfy bed.. hard to find in most hotels. I was in Rome with my husband to celebrate our first year of marriage and could not have chosen a better place. The hotel is near top attractions and they have an incredible view. We stayed at this hotel for a short break to see the sites of Rome. It is very conveniently situated near the old heart of Rome and the 81 bus stop outside made travelling to the Vatican etc, very easy. The staff were very helpful with restaurant bookings, directions and travel arrangements, all in excellent english. There are several very good restaurants […] nearby so we never got to eat in the one in the hotel. The hotel itself is well decorated in a modern style and the whole place is very up together. We had a room at the back which was lovely and quirt. My wife thought the enormous bed we had was a bit hard and maybe it was but we slept well. The only downsides I can think of are, we struggled to find a socket we could get an adaptor pug into and ended up using the one in the bathroom, and in common with many other hotels abroad there are no coffee or tea making facilities. The hotel is in a nice location, close to the colosseum/forum, but 10 mins walk from some of the other attractions which is nothing. The staff are superb, very welcoming and informative. The hotel is on a busy road which we could hear from the room, but by nighttime there was little traffic. Make sure you get to the gym- I had it to myself!

I have just returned from this hotel with my daughter,the staff were absolutly fabulous.I would especially mention Michelle on reception.It was birthday on arrival and without any prompting when we returned after our day out,there was a cake and card left in my room.The facilities were superb and the location perfect.10 minutes from Colosseum,palatine […] hill and Forum.I would just like to say there was no tea or coffee facilities in room and room service was expensive.I would definitely recommend this hotel and indeed we are looking to return in March. Very helpful staff, 1 in particular on the desk, who had the foresight to ask if I wanted a taxi to the airport the night before I left and made me feel welcome in a natural, not a professional kind of way. Breakfast a let-down. FILTHY coffee and not good standard of food. Hotel is boutique style, everything is small but very beautifully decorated. A lot of attention to detail. Staff was very courteous and willing to help at all times. Breakfast is pleasantly well stocked and served everyday, location is perfect if in Rome in a touristic trip very close to most sites.

The hotel is perfectly located. The breakfast is good and the staff are pleasant and helpful. A bit stingy on toiletries. There are a few maintenance problems, like the air conditioning and the wall power socket not working. Overall, a good impression and a pleasant stay.

We decided to spend a portion of our Christmas vacation in Rome and this place was a real shocker. We had a little problem finding the place at first because everything is so preserved with historical buildings but you will find it across the pantheon like structure. The room was stunning, it had an amazing view on the second floor and I assume the way the hotel is set, everyone has a view of the street and whats in front which is really nice. The first night our phone didnt work to order room service and when we brought it to their attention, they made every effort to fix it. Unfortunately they couldnt and was extremely kind to upgrade us to a bigger room. Their room service was phenomenol - reasonably priced and tasty, My boyfriend and I orders the carpaccio to start and he had the beef filet and I had the chicken seared in wine, TASTY! We had our car in valet which was approx 30 euros a night. but worth it because the headache of finding parking was something we didnt want to worry about. very nice, pleasant hotel. just across river from Tiber Island and Trastevere which is where I liked to go eat, although there are also some great older neighborhoods just north and west within a 5-10 min walk with lots of restaurant options. There aren't a lot of restaurants/shops just out the front door, but within a 5 min walk there are many. Besides, […] the views from the upstairs bar/restaurant were great and you can leave the front door and go across the street and go running/walking along the river! The hotel inside and itself was adequate and clean and located well for the many well known sights. However, the pictures shown are deceiving. It shows pictures from the rooftop restaurant (not where breakfast is served) and does not show the side views of an alleyway which was very scruffy! This hotel was in the perfect location for seeing the sights of Rome. A little bit of history was visable out of our window, and all the "must sees" were within walking distance. The Travestere district was just across the bridge and holds many interesting shops and fun restaurants. We usually crossed over there for dinner each evening after walking […] around seeing the sights all day. Even walked as far as Harry's Bar for drinks one night. The rooms at 47 were very spacious by European standards, were nicely contemporary, and very comfy. The breakfast buffet was good, but got a little crowded about 9AM. The rooftop area (bar & restaurant) was a beautiful place to unwind with a drink after hoofing it all day. It had a nice view over the city. We took the 47's town car back to the airport upon departure (about 25-35 min. and 5 or 10 euros more than a standard taxi) and thought the cost was well worth it. Location was very good in that it is close to many attractions, as well as near enough to Bus stops and one Metro station. The restaurants in the hotel were very good. We had better dining experiences over-all at the hotel than we did at most restaurants in Rome. The biggest strength of the hotel is the staff. Great location, great rooms, lovely staff, clean and modern inside. Had no problems at all. Only 10 Min walk to the Colosseum. Easy to catch the bus from just outside the hotel to the Vatican 10-15 mins. Near enough to all the attractions, most are within walking distance. Travister (I think that's how you spell it) is just over the river and has plenty […] of restaurants. would really recommend this hotel. Also if you book without a transfer you can go by train only a 5 Min walk from the Flumicino airport, tickets only about £10 compared to a taxi fare of about £50 to the centre of Rome. Staff is very friendly and accomodating. Breakfast has excellent variety. Location of hotel is perfect, being just one block from ancient Rome's Circus Maximus and 2 blocks from the Coliseum. Rooms are large (particularly for Europe) and spotless, with modern bathrooms. Comments by others about the steps at the entrance to the hotel are true, but it […] is barely half a flight and a concierge greeted us within seconds to haul the baggage into the hotel. We used the hotel as a 'home base' and could easily walk to the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Via Del Corso and so on. The Vatican was the farthest, but only 1/2 hr walk. We arrived early Saturday evening and were met at the door and checked in by a lovely lady who was very helpful advising us on where to eat and giving us a map with recommendations and directions for places to see. Our room was lovely, very clean and comfortable. Initially I could not gain wifi access but once again we were assisted and even offered […] a change of room to an area of better reception - although we chose to remain in our original. We stayed for my husbands 50th birthday - arriving that evening and came back to the room that night to an italiian birthday cake and card on our bed - they must have looked at his DOB on the passports as I had not told them. It was a really nice surprise and summed up how special the staff made us feel. This hotel is a real gem. Excellent location within walking distance of all major sites. The rooms were large with a good-size bath/shower room. Breakfast was plentiful although not much hot food. The steam room downstairs is definitely under-used but we found it to be a real treat at the end of a long day sightseeing. All the staff were very pleasant […] and could not do enough for us. The only disappointment was the restaurant service on the night we ate there but to be honest wee should have heeded other reviewers and headed for Trastevere (just over the bridge) where the choice is varied and priced […] to suit every pocket. Exceeded our expectations. Wonderful location in the heart of the historic quarter and a refuge from the busier parts of Rome. Wonderful breakfasts - best we have had in the many hotels we have stayed at in Europe. The restaurant sitting on top of the hotel is very special too - we had drinks and snacks against the backdrop of the bustling City and […] sheltered from an amazing thunderstorm which thankfully only lasted for one day. 20c in late October is heaven from freezing London. A short walk to Travestre across the Tiber with lovely winding cobbled streets with small restaurants and bars all around.
