This motel has suffered a lack of maintenance. Bathroom had a shower faucet that was impossible to adjust--nothing but scalding water. Outer door was propped open all the time and looked too beat up to keep any one out. Room door had a button lock that made it impossible to open from outside. One trash basket was full of the last guest's candy wrappers etc.. otherwise the room was clean . Hotel is very dated and needs modernization. Considering that it is one half the price of the major chains it is very worth the price.

This hotel is in need of serious renovation. The staff was very friendly, but needs to decide if they are pet friendly or not. They have a sign that says "No pets", but they very obviously let their dog be seen. One of the staff members even said they were pet friendly. The room was OK. It was situated to the inner area of the hotel garden in front of the swmming pool on the first floor. From the balcony there was an impressing look of the sunset. Rooms on other sides of the building may have much more noise. Clean swimming pool. Open from 10 am until 6 pm. Great meadow for playing games with children.

The hotel was run down and the hallways were dirty. The room itself was clean which I was grateful for. No coffe maker in the room had to walk to the check in building to get a cup in the morning.

It was quiet and located in a place where it was a distance from the road so there were no annoying lights or noises. The room was comfortable but the mattress was hard so it was not as nice as it could of been and the pillows were small so you couldn't sit up in bed. Over all it was fine and it was very nice for the price that the breakfast was included. […] There was no juice but other things were good. I guess if kids stay they have to bring their own juice. Look at reviews after I booked and I was worried, but the hotel was fine no problems, very clean. The window AC units are dated but other then that all went well...Pool was teriffic.

I was skeptical because of all the negative reviews I saw, but I have to say I was pleasantly surprise. The room was clean no problems, the only negative thing I would say is the AC for the rooms are the window models and not that strong. Pool was fantantic. i asked about nonsmoking room but the room was like wet ashtray there was sign: the pool closed after 6:00pm and the people swam after 6:15pm till 1:30am what surprised me more is there were a lot of families with young kids and they arrived mostly after 10pm and left before 9am

Very clean for older building. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Didn't use he pool but it looked clean. Mattress was very firm bathroom was clean. Riverhead has a train station for trip to NYC.

My husband and I live in Manhattan and wanted to get away to the wineries out on Long Island for the weekend. Most of the B&Bs were booked and other hotels in the area were crazy expensive. We picked this place because it was close to where we wanted to be and the rate was decent. The hotel is definitely outdated, think circa. 1980, but it was clean. […] We really only slept there since we were out until late each day, so it worked out fine. Only downfall was the cold shower we had to take the day we left. Seems they ran out of hot water… All in all, a fine place if you want something cheap and close to the wineries. The reason I gave this hotel 2 stars is because the outside area is very pretty and the pool was nice... Other than that our room was a nightmare. The floors were so filthy we had to wear shoes, the bed was hard and uncomfortable, there was no hot water in the shower as well as no water proof shower curtain to prevent the water from flooding the bathroom […] and to top it all off while looking behind the night stand to find a plug for my phone charger, I found an open condom wrapper.... The Room and bathroom were both disgusting. Thankfully we brought our own bedding, which subsequently smelled like smoke and mildew. No hot water in the morning either.

it is depressing but bed was clean (no bugs) and window air cond. served ok. Way too expensive but the area nearby is also way too expensive for the places too stay. It is app 40 mins. from the Hamptons which are very expensive! Since we have family near there, it was the only place we could afford!

The rooms smelled like they had been cleaned with a dirty mop! The smell of smoke and dirt permeated the bed, chair and carpet. The towels were stained - maybe even used and not cleaned. The neighborhood looked like an inner city war zone!

Booked to for wife I and family. Difficult to unlock the door key sticks, bottom sheet did not cover mattress, pillows flat and bed not comfortable. Bath towels are small and thin. The shower head was a 1/2 inch in diameter, with high water pressure it could drill holes in your body. Our stay was one night would not stay at this hotel again.

Hotel needs major updating. Wallpaper was peeling off the walls and the carpets were stained as well as the blanket on the bed.

I admit I was leary to stay here based on reading previous reviews however I had an overall positive experience. This Motel was half the price of any other in the area. The room was clean as was the hotel and pool area. I would stay here again.

Very "shady" area..room bare and plan out dated.. Thought we were getting an efficencyroom didn't even have a microwave or refidgerator. Non smoking room smelt like smoke, we call it a rundown MOTEL with a nice pool.

The hotel is very out dated. The room has filthy carpets. Furniture is falling apart. Bathroom is terrible. Stains and mildew around the bathtub. The hotel is expensive for what it is, but the location is great. The wineries are very close by and the hotel is easily accessible with plenty of parking. Our mattress was very uncomfortable and there were definitely no frills. I would have ranked this hotel a lot higher had the price been a lot lower.

The hotel recently changed owners and upgrades and repairs were in progress. Housekeeping needs to be addressed, and air conditioner(s) need to be replaced.

The facility is old and tired. Inexpensive for the area, but too expensive for what you get. This is a pretty grim motel. The bed was like sleeping on a board. Hadn't been remodeled in 40 years. Septic system gave off terrible odor. Front desk attendant was smart and nice.

In a pretty shabby area of towm, this hotel has the feel of an "extended stay" location. The staff was really plesant and helpful, and the room, while clean enough, is beyond dated. Wallpaper is peeling, the bed was so-so at best. It was just a one night stay and had it been more I would have left.

I only needed a room to sleep as I was gone all day into the late evening so I did not use any amenities. The room was clean, but old, as was the bathroom. It was affordably priced.

Hallways smelt terrible. People in and out all night. Mattresses very thin and uncomfortable. Sad to say, but hair from a previous guest was hanging in the wall hair dryer.
