The La Casa Del Mar is a small, older facility only 1 block from the beach, and 2-3 blocks north of the heart of the Ft. Lauderdale beach strip. Yet it was quiet, low-key, and almost felt secluded. Hotel very convenient. It is pretty. Here is what we faced: 1- Hotel was almost empty. Lots of nicer rroms available and they put us in a small room. The only outlet was in the bathroom. 2- Bed and Breakfast? Hardly- Breakfast canteen opened at 830am. Kind of late and what was there? Muffins and Bagles prepackaged by Otis Spunkmeyer! The room was very small. Water in the swimming pool was not very clean, so it didn't encourage me to swim there. The best plus is the location - a block from the beach and close to the stripe of beach bars and restaurants. Taxi to Las Olas Blvd where you go for night fun will cost you $10-15. Overall, I think it's overpriced.

De ligging van het hotel is prachtig, in een rustige zijstraat van Las Olas boulevard, zeer dicht bij het strand. Het is echt een rustige oase.
