Eridanus Art Luxury Hotel - Atėnai

The Eridanus hotel is 5 minute walk from Kerameikos metro station through the rough area, graffiti covered abandoned buildings. Surrounding area is not very pretty, but it did not feel unsafe to walk. The hotel is not the 5* you would normally expect in the UK. Our room was on the first floor and had a strong smell of paint that we had to open our window […] each time we were in. However the room was spacious and bathroom had a bath tub as well as a separate shower. Me and my friend prefer showers, so after having one the bathroom floor was flooded and it was impossible to walk as water was everywhere making floor slippery. Breakfast was standard continental, cereals, ham/cheese, and pastries. Hotel staff is great, very friendly, understanding and helpful. Despite the transportation strike, we were able to get around with no issues. Pretty much every sight was within walking distance from the hotel. Hotel staff was always very friendly and accommodating. Greek food and wine were quite nice and affordable. Overall, a very enjoyable mini holiday.

Hotel was relatively close to major attractions, ie Acropolis, Agora. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was very freindly and helpful. Cleaning staff could have been more careful to make sure that necessities were kept up, like toilet paper.

Our room was clean and have a coffee maker.The glassed bathroom is stylish, however, the shower is in the same room with the toilet. The shower water runs outside of the shower door and wet the toilet seat..The receptionist(s) are most helpful. We were there during the various transportation strikes. The staff arranged private car to pick us up at the […] cruise port and directed us how to get around the city by different transportation. On Friday night, the nearby nightclub had a loud music party which lasted into the hour we checked out of the hotel. We had to leave early in the morning. The free bottled water listed in the amenities list for hotels.com is incorrect. The cost of the water is minimal. It was just annoying to find out about the charges even though it was clearly stated in the hotel description that it was included in the room price. The hotel was very modern, clean and the service of the staff was excellent. Concierge valet parking available, at 10 euros per day, very reliable. Hotel is a great place to stay, though the streets within close proximity are run down and untidy. The staff are very pleasant and helpful. The food in the Rooftop Restaurant is fantastic with great views. Within 15-20 mins walk you can reach restaurants, markets, and shopping. Would be happy to stay here again.

My partner and I stayed for 2 nights on arrival from Melbourne. Very nice people - great roof top restaurant - the food was very good! The room was very comfortable and clean - the bathroom was large and comfortable (our toilette was in the same place as the shower which was strange...but you could opt to shower in the bath tub as well). We got the room with a view, but the room itself was tiny. The bed was very uncomfortable and the restaurant menu was limited. At least the staff was very helpful and the hotel was very clean.

Stayed there the 3rd time and I am satisfied. Tried the rooftop restaurant, the food is good and reasonably priced, the waiters could more attentive. Avoid street facing rooms, they can be noisy .

This is a true boutique hotel. The rooms are not the biggest but the Hotel's name tell's it all. Designers and Architects really designed it. Very functional, very restful, comfortable and first class in every department. Its location is really nice only a few hundred meters from The Placa and it is still within walking distances to the Acropolis. […] The location on a main Blvd makes it easy to return to late at night. Staff speaks English very well and very helpful. The Breakfast Buffet was a real delight and had an array of food. We are on 30 day extended vacation and this was the best one so far. I recommend this Hotel to Couples and Business People. The Wi-FI was fast. For me, this is a Hotel NOT for small children purely from selfish reasons. We had a junior suite that was more than enough room for the 3 of us. It also was nice that there were two separate sleeping areas because it allowed all of us a little extra room. Upon arriving to the hotel we were met with refreshing juice and the extra service continued through our stay. The roof top bar and restaurant is a must! The view from it […] is superb! The surrounding area is up and coming so while it wasn't the greatest neighborhood we never felt unsafe. Close to restaurants, cafes, and the sites. Also, the contemporary decor is very nice. The staff here is amazing -- they did everything possible to anticipate and cater to our every want and need. The hotel is lovely inside and the rooms are organized in such a way that our regular room felt like 2 rooms, one inner and one outer. If you are taking the metro from the airport - their directions on the website are not great, and the street that the hotel is on has 2 names and is phonetically similar to many other street names. I stayed in Eridanus for 8 nights, and it's by far the best hotel that I ever stayed in, the staff is very helpful, and friendly without being too nosy, with amazing can do attitude, definitely pushing boundaries to make sure they satisfy the customer, different than regular 5 stars hotels staff with the "not my job" attitude, Location of the hotel […] cannot be any better, had a room in the top floor with a big terrace overlooking the acropolis, at times I didn't even feel I need to leave the hotel, just stayed in the terrace and had a drink and chilled, It’s Walking distance to two metro stations, and to the Gazi area, where there are endless options of restaurants, coffe shops, and lounges/bars Two minor things through, 1- they close the door of the hotel late at night, so when I come back at 4 am, I need to knock to get in, took me back to when I was 16 and I used to live with my parents :-) 2- the roof-top bar was under construction, so didn't get the chance to enjoy the view from the roof top Overall, if you are going to Athens, this is the hotel to go for… Skaityti daugiau

The pictures of the hotel do NOT do it adequate justice. The hotel is gorgeous, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was luxuri-atious(!), the breakfast was delectable, the location was a mintues-walk from the Acropolis as well as nightlife, and the staff was friendly.

Location not ideal. I'm streeet wise and I still found it quite an intimidating area at night. Hotel breakfast and staff and room fab. Defo 4 star. VERY CLEAN. Did not have to pay extra for patios with views of the Acropolis either.

I always go there when I'm in Athens. The hotel is not in the very central part of Athens but it's close to a nice area called Gazi, full of bars, clubs and restaurants. The hotel is very nice and people very kind.

This hotel was perfect. We were only in Athens one night but we could see the Acropolus and walk to it from the hotel. There were nice restaurants close and the metro was also close - about a 5 minute walk. I was a little hesitant about booking this hotel because one review said they had a bad experience parking their car. We simply pulled up in front […] of the hotel, went in to let them know we were there, and one of the hotel staff unloaded our bags, and went to park the car for us. No hassle at all! Upon arrival, we were greeted with a much appreciated complementary drink - particularly nice after having to get the bus instead of the metro from the airport to the city centre due to strikes. All the staff were friendly, helpful and very welcoming. The view from the rooftop bar at sunset is now the background on my laptop - beautiful!

Lovely hotel just outside Plaka area. Roof top bar has fantastic view of The Acropolis. Staff were very accommodating as we arrived early after19 hr flight and they prepare the ro in an hour and also gave us an up-grade. Walking distance to many area and the hop on hop off bus. Recommend this.

We had a wonderful stay at this little hotel. We could walk to all the top spots, which was lucky because everything that moved was on strike. The reception desk was five stars - helped us navigate everything including a private car to the dock since no other transportation was working. I can't say enough good things about the place. We booked a room for 2 nights after checking out the reviews on Tripadvisor. While on our way to the hotel from nearby metro station by cab, we found the neighborhood very run down and quite unsafe. I began to reconsider our decision to get our hotel room during that 5 minutes of journey. When we reached the hotel, the hotel staff greeted us warmly. […] The entrance of the hotel was not quite grand as one would expect from a 4 star hotel. But at the reception, we were greeted by the staff warmly. We were also given free upgrade to their junior suite without us asking for it. The receptionist was very polite and gave us information about the nearby area. She also showed us that some part of neighborhood had to be avoided as it was not safe. It was consistent with our observations during our cab drive. The suite was huge with large king bed. It was well decorated and looked newly furnished. There were 2 balconies; one with partial view of Acropolis. The best part of our room was the bathroom; which was huge with green granite all over and large jet tub. The toiletries were top of the class. The breakfast was very nice with a lot of varieties. Since we do not eat meat, we did not have many options; but one of the waitresses asked us if we needed any kind of customized food. So we asked if they could make omelets. Within 10 minutes, we were served with hot veggie cheese omelets. Overall a very good experience.. don't be misled with seemingly not-so-good neighborhood/ Skaityti daugiau

Athens is a very large, broke city with a mass of unemployment and lack of funds, there is graffiti everywhere - I mean everywhere. If you can look past that there are some great spots to visit - but I would stay a day or two at most in this city - and then head to the Islands - they ROCK This hotel, is in a rough area - but - as we determined the […] entire city is 'rough' - we were safe however, and we did stay at another hotel as well - but I would recommend this in a Great way - it truly was a lovely experience, from staff to hotel. This was a cute boutique hotel and not too close to the touristy Plaka area (which worked out well during the Athens riots happening while we were there). The area is a bit sketchy (we saw people doing drugs in the nearby park), I would not walk around alone (as a female) at night but felt ok with my boyfriend. It's a convenient walk to the cute Monastiraki […] area and not far from the Akropolis if you don't mind a 20-25 min walk. They upgraded us to a nicer room, which was much better than the standard room we had booked (we saw both). The front desk was not really helpful, we asked multiple times for local restaurant recommendations or feedback on places we had read about and they had no idea about any of them. We loved this hotel - cool, quiet, and a respite from a busy itinerary in a city that is very hot and dusty at this time of year. The bathroom was great, with green marble and the Hermes provisions a nice touch. The airconditioning worked perfectly, the beds were great, the rooms clean, and the soundproofing so good that there was literally no noise […] from outside. The only disappointment was the rooftop restaurant was closed. Ask the manager to take you up there anyway, for what must be one of the best views of Athens - certainly of the Acropolis. From there, you can look down on the one-star Michelin restaurant on top of the building next door. As for the neighbourhood, it is fine. You need to walk about 800m to the metro through some tired streets, but nothing threatening. The metro line runs straignt to the port for the ferry, or from there you are already right at the ancient part of the city, the flea markets, or the restaurants of Psirri.
