"Excellent Hotel! Highly recommend!"
The hotel was perfect. The staff was very pleasant and even called me 5 minutes after checking in to make sure my room was okay and up to my standards. The room was huge, almost the size of a 2 room suite and had 2 very comfortable queens beds and a balcony that over looked the pool. There was a new 37 inch flat screen tv in my room. The breakfast in […] the morning was ample and had some good selections. It was more than just a continental breakfast with a few items. The room was extra clean and had a fresh smell to it. It is all the way down at the far end of Maddox Blvd. heading to Assateague, which is great of you are planning on spending most of your time at the beach. However I was attending an event on the other side of the Island and would have liked to been closer to that. Second, the walls and floors are somewhat thin. I could hear people in the room above me walking around and I could hear the doors adjacent to me opening and closing. Definitely not a deal breaker for me. I would definitely stay there again. I just wish the hotel offered a shuttle service as the island does not have a taxi service. All in all a very good experience and a great value for the money. In fact my room was so nice, I found myself spending much more time there than I had originally planned on doing. It's hard to find much to complain about with this hotel. It's exterior is dated, but the interior has been fully renovated. The rooms are clean, spacious, and quiet. It is also mere steps from the entry to the Assateague Island refuge, which is very convenient and gives a nice view from the balcony. "Very close to bridge to Chincoteague Wildlife R."
We could only stay one night because of Hurricane Irene but they had rooms ready early so we could get to the beach two days. The room was great- all I missed was a "sleep" button on the remote. This is the nicest hotel we have stayed in in Chinocteague. The rooms are very large, clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is great and allows one to walk into the park and also have a nice view of the wetlands. They have bicycles for rent which is very convenient. The breakfast is okay. We booked the BW Plus in Chincoteague, VA. It was much better than we expected. The room was very nice and spacious. The table in the room was small for a family of five. The breakfast room was small but offered a healthy variety. Coffee and apples available all day.
