Staff and service was excellent the only issue i had was opening doors i suffer from arthritis from a child for over 40yrs some doors r excellent but some u hav to open urself i dont hav strength in my arms or hands due to my condition if all doors were changed to self opening the hotel would b perfect. Staff and Management of the Pillo Hotel was excellent […] especially with children with autism i took my grandson who has this condition nothing was too much for staff thank you for a lovely stay. We really enjoyed our stay, all the Staff were very nice, we had lunch when we arrived in The Bar, I had Thai Fish Cakes with fresh Noodles, and a lovely glass of Rose Wine the Food was Fab, My Husband enjoyed his Lunch to. We also used the Spa and overall had a nice stay.

Traveling with husband, sister/brother-in-law. Pillo is a very nice hotel, rooms are spacious (we had king sized beds) and clean. The bed was comfortable and sufficient pillows. The exhaust/vent fan in the bathroom did not work. Service in the hotel restaurant was indifferent, almost rude. We sat at a table in the bar area, several servers walked by […] to other tables including one right next to us, without acknowledging our presence or sending over the assigned server. We had to go to the bar to get drinks, had to remind the bar tender to finish pouring pints, of Guinness, had to flag down another server to order food. Very good stay. Staff were friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast. Room was comfortable, some slight areas of wear & tear. Traffic noise not too bad. Surrounding area is commercial / tatty residential - would not walk back to hotel late at night.

The site says that wifi is free, it isn't. It is only free in the lobby. Otherwise, lovely hotel.

The staff were very nice on our arrival and gave the kids little welcome bags which was a nice touch. The hotel room was very noisy as its right beside a busy roundabout and a petrol station and for this reason alone I won’t be returning. I had picked this hotel for the convince to the city but to be fair I didn’t need to be that close as I had a car […] I should have chosen a different location. Shower didn't work and toilet didn't flush properly. Bathroom floor looked as though it had been swept but not cleaned.

The room was decent. Breakfast was good. The most interesting part of the stay was the fact that the heat did not work. Something was wrong with the boiler and there was a space heater provided for the heat. It was the end of March but the weather was 5 degrees C. Brrr.......

Stayed here on a Friday night and have to say its a really nice hotel,very clean really nice inside with free parking underneath and a lift straight to the rooms or to reception,nice friendly staff ,they allowed us to check in very early the morning of our stay ,at 8am to be exact ,very accommodating. Very nice hotel, clean and nicely decorated. Stayed in a family room and there was plenty of space. Heating wasn't working in our room, so we were given extra heaters and blankets. Plenty of choice at breakfast although it could have been hotter. Only thing I found negative was the staff. Spent just the one night in the Pillo hotel. But it catered to my needs perfectly. Great room, even better staff and all at a great price. Was very satisfied. Will definitely visit again.

Unfortunately no heat in room,though a mobile radiator was provided. Not really enough in January.Phone didn't work.I stay regularly and this was the first time I felt service was lacklustre.

The hotel is about 20 mins walk to the city. So you wouldn't dare to walk to the City in heels. It's sort of in the industrial estate but you wouldn't realise it's. Food was Ok it did the job to fill our stomach. Room was clean even though we put our towels back on the rail they still left some fresh towels for us. The rooms was cold. When the heat […] is on it was fine but when the heat is off it seems to lose the heat quite fast. We asked for a second duvet and it was fine then. The only fault I found with the Hotel Was the after service from the bar staff /food waiter .other wise this a great hotel ,All the staff were very helpful and friendly ,just need to improve after service in the bar,good food also .

stayed in the pillo as my partner and I were booked for a gig in Galway, hotel was fantastic and immaculate. However the only thing I will say is we were charged an astronomical price for something small to eat and two drinks to be brought to our room, as we were rushing the following morning to make it home for Christmas I didn't have time to pose […] the question to the receptionist, whom i may add was extremely helpful. The only other thing I will add is that we were ready to head down to check out for half 11 when the same porter who dropped up our food the previous night barged in the door, thinking there was nobody in there... which may have been possible as we had only changed the room from non smoking to smoking the evening beforehand. I found this somewhat disturbing as without a knock or a prior warning my partner and I could have easily been inappropriately dressed. other than that it is a nice hotel Skaityti daugiau

My room was extremely noisey as there seemed to be a generator constantly humming outside.I travel for work and the only down time I get is at night and that was completely disturbed by the noise outside my window.I also asked for a smoking room which I did not get and was not offered any reason as to why.

I stayed in Pillo Hotel as had a christmas party in town . Lovely rooms very comfortable . Great greeting at Reception and very helpful . checked into sauna and steamroom at spa for extra €5 for one hour which is located at top of hotel fabulous setting sorry could only spend 30 minutes and revived me for nite ahead . Forgot to book a taxi but one was […] outside and got into town for €7.50. Got taxi back at 12.30 for €6.50 right to door . Had a great nite sleep in comfortable bed and great air conditionned room except for chatty guests at 3 . Down for breakfast in moring just on critism rashers not crisp enough but eat them anyway great service again in morning . Added advantage with Pillo free parking compared to minium parking fee of €10 in hotels in towm. Definitely recommend it for staying in galway not too far out of city but very relaxing and you could walk to city if daylight as only 15 min walk . Skaityti daugiau

Our room was spacious and spotless but cold. There was a small extra heater provided and that helped. I have stayed in the Pillo often and enjoy the short walk into town. I also enjoy the easy access to the key road network.

Lovely, comfortable hotel. The children's welcome pack/gift was well appreciated. Heavy traffic in the area made it hard to get in and out of the city centre, but overall we enjoyed our stay.

Good hotel, with an exceptional spa,. I booked a double room but on arriving at our room we found 2 single beds pushed together, not the standard you would expect. The man at reception was adamant that this was infact a kingsize bed and all the beds were the same,. After a lenthy debate he agreed to change our room for one with a proper double bed in […] it. This was actually a family room but apparentpy the only room they have with a full double bed. Just to not e: the man was quite 'grumpy' to deal with but then changed tack when we returned the keys to our original room. Breakfast on the 1st morning was cold, however the second morning (at the sam time) was much warmer. We had to ask 3 times before we got our tea/coffee on both mornings. However the spa was a great experience and i would reccomend a visit. Ideally located for shops bars and restaurants, €8 in a taxi. Overall OK just a pitty about the few small problems.
