From the moment of arrival we were made to feel welcome. The rooms were immaculate. The location unbeatable, less than 10 mins walk to Stazione Termini and Colosseum. Easy walk to Trevi fountain. Delightful breakfast included and able to store luggage after checkout as out flight wasn't until 10 in evening. We stayed for four nights and had excellent service from all the staff. Our room was comfortable, and the bathroom was great. Wi-fi was reliable and quick. Breakfast good.Fairly convenient for most of the major sites and near some very good restaurants

Absolutely fantastic. Raffaello staff are friendly, helpful and very professional. The rooms are clean and comfortable and beautifully furnished. The neighbourhood is quiet and very close to many central tourist sites. As a solo traveller it provides a safe and supportive environment. It is a perfect location to the rail for flight connections as well as close to tourist sites. The breakfast bar is just lovely...a great range of foods to suit all cultures and tastes. Pluses - hotel was clean, close to Termini train station (within 10 - 15 minute walk), located to nearby restaurants, and good value, bed was a true queen size bed. Staff spoke English. Minuses - By American standards the room was small. It would be a tight squeeze for 2 people; there was barely 2 feet between the foot of the bed and the wall.Also […] the shower stall was very tight squeeze with just enough room to turn around in. Also the elevator could only fit 1 person + baggage and elevator only stops between floors, requiring one to climb up or down one flight of stairs to get to the room. Minus are all just minor inconveniences for me Overall if you are just looking for basic living quarters without breaking the bank, this would be a good choice (besides why spend all your money on a hotel or when you could be spending enjoying all that Rome has to offer?). Just a really well run family hotel, and one that does not fleece its guests by charging extortionate amounts to access their wi-fi (its free). Amazing service from the the concierge and reception. The room was great, breakfast was great, location was nice and close to the Colosseum. The street the hotel is on has some really great restaurants and shops. Cannot fault this hotel really.

This was a very good hotel for the price. We found it at the last moment. The neighborhood is a little commercial on one side of the hotel but a few streets away the neighborhood is very charming and arty. The best part was that the hotel was steps away from plt hill and the colosseum. The internet was very frustrating.

The hotel is only about 8 min walking from the train station, and it's only 15 - 20 min walk to all the tourist spots (Collosium, Trivi Fountain, etc). The hotel,was off the beaten path, but was a perfect spot. The desk staff were friendly and very helpful. We were in Rome at the absolute hottest time. Our room was so hot and would not cool down. Hotel Raffaello was perfect! The staff was very helpful, friendly and professional. The room and bathroom were a little on the small size, but still comfortable for two people. Air conditioning in the room was refreshing. Hotel is well located, very close to the coliseum and good restaurants. I would definitely stay again.

Hotel location not as central as we thought & the area although quiet has lot of buildings with graffiti over them. Breakfast nothing special & orange juice was diluted not fresh orange. The room we had was nice though having a balcony at the side of the hotel,towels were changed daily, however the lift was a bit of a scary experience we kept wondering […] if it would break down & we would then have to walk all the way up to the top floor, also the maximum the lift can fit is 3 people but this is not possible when you have luggage! Staff were all very friendly & did go out of their way to help with ordering taxi's, sorting bus tours or just general help with the language. We stayed for 3 nights, hotel is a 5 minute walk from Roma Termini train station, so very convenient to get around the city using Metro or Bus, also plenty of good restaurants within walking distance of hotel, hotel provides free breakfast and Wi-Fi, consider this a 3 star hotel with 4 star service.

I've stayed at this hotel before, and the only thing I had to complain about was the very restricted space in the room, they had put a small sized double bed in a room barely big enough for a single, but everything else was first class. Being shown my room this time I was delighted to find it was a large double room. Settleing in to the room, I thought […] it was a bit warm, so went over to the curtained window to let some air in. Pulling the curtains back, I was a bit disappointed to find nothing in view but a brick wall about six feet away. Opening the window I was amazed to get a blast of very hot air rushing in through the window, and the outdoor window frame almost untouchable because of the heat. The space outside the window was a bit like a chimney 6ft deep by 20ft wide the full height of the hotel, jam packed with air-conditioning units, I counted 8 in the section I could see, all hammering away at full blast. I should have complained, but didn't and just resorted to leaving the air-conditioner in the room on all the time, even though it couldn't really cope with the heat which seemed to be radiating from the outside wall, and window frame. Air conditioning was not too great. Spent most of the time sweating indoors and when we opened the door to the small patio, the exhaust from all of the A/C units going up the building created a sauna! Otherwise the hotel was wonderful!!!!

Close to Termini station, Museum of Rome (an overlooked gem) and Santa Maria Maggiore (3 or 4 blocks). Good restaurants within a block or two. 10 minute walk from Coliseum. Metro close too. A wonderful little hotel with loads of charm and comfort. The location is close to Termini station and yet walking distance to the main attractions. The room was spacious and clean and so was the bathroom. I loved being able to open the window for fresh air if I wanted. We booked at Raffaello largely based on trip advisor reviews, and we were not disappointed. It is very well located if you want to walk with luggage from Roma Termini, and is very well located for walking to many of the typical tourist destinations like the Colosseum, Trevi fountain, Spanish steps, etc. for those who prefer less walking, the Metro is […] about a 5 minute walk, which is convenient for further destinations, particularly Vatican City. The hotel staff is very nice and responsive, breakfast was good, and the rooms were very nice for a 3 star. For those from the US, I have seen few American "3 star" hotels this nice. The staff were friendly. We had asked the receptionist if we could extend our two night stay into three nights and he was accommodating. Location wise, it is excellent and well centrally located. You could easily walk to the main train station, Termini from the hotel. The wifi was slow in the rooms but it was fine in the lobby. The staff during breakfast […] was very attentive to us. Just returned from our first family trip overseas. Spent a week in Rome, total of 7 family members traveling together. The hotel could not have been more centrally located to all the attractions of central and ancient Rome. Hotel was exactly as portrade on the Expedia site. We had 2 triple and 2 single rooms. Husband and myself have just spent a brilliant week over Easter with two grandsons at this lovely little hotel. We had a quadruple room which actually was one room with a double bed and a separate room for the boys with two single beds. By turning left out of the front door we found some really good, economical eating places within walking distance much appreciated after a long day sightseeing. The experience was pleasant overall. Perhaps the location could be a bit better, in that it was still a healthy walk to the central sights of Rome. This is not at all a problem, however, unless you have small children.

This hotel is for those looking for a friendly and old worldly style of accommodation. The staff are only too pleased to assist in any way they can. The rooms are smaller than modern hotels however this does not detract from comfort. It is an easy walk to the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, the Colosseum, and the Terminii Station, and of couse shops and […] restaurants. We loved the ambience of this hotel. Nothing was forgotten in the customery complimentary vanity requirements, and these were replenished each day without fail. We found that hotels in Italy don't have in room tea/coffee making facilities however the Hotel Raffaello compesates for this by having complimentary tea and coffee in a lounge area just off the Lobby. When we left to go home it was almost like leaving family. What a great time we had during our 9 day stay, We will most definately return to the Hotel Raffaello again on our next visit.
