Sokos Hotel Viru - Talinas

We have stayed in many hotels in Tallinn and other places in Estonia and always have had good experiences with the efficiency and friendliness of staff. I must say that the service at the Viru has top them all so far. After our check-in we realized that our room only had a shower but no bath tub, as our daughter likes to take a bath when we are travelling, […] I phoned the reception to enquire on a possible change. This was taken care of for us in no time and within 10 minutes we have our luggage in a room with tub and a very happy 5 year old. I needed some e-tickets printed and this was done in the same proficiency. I was told to email the tickets to the reception (this is no problem in Estonia, as FREE wifi is available everywhere) and again in less than 10 minutes I held my tickets in my hands. Breakfast is also very nice, good selection in food and good quality. I loved the pastries! It is always nice and good to try new places but it will be difficult to make that choice staying next time in Tallinn, knowing that the Viru provide good quality service had a reasonable price. The only glitch during our stay, was the fact that we had asked for a late check-out (15:00)and paid a small fee for this, at 14:50 when we wanted to get our luggage the room key was no longer working and I needed to go to the reception to get it re-activated. Was a great location with short walk to the Old Town. Has it's own night club which was great and free admission to hotel guests. Breakfast was nice. We did find a man passed out in front of out hotel room at 3am, but a quick call to the front desk took care of it... it was New Year's so it wasn't too shocking. View from the room was fantastic.

Hotel has great location, close to the port and old town. The staff is polite and helpful. But hotel is old, needs remodeling.The rooms are not cosy. The furniture is old, floor covering in the hall and corridors is full of dust. The hotel really needs to be repaired and the rooms required new design.

The Hotel is close to the main entry to the city. The room was nice, not big but enough if you are just visiting Tallin. The staff was nice. The breakfast could be better, it was small and the food was not very good. The same happens with the lunch buffet.

Great location just outside gate to old town. Good sized room and an outstanding breakfast buffet.

Lovely clean comfortable rooms. Its located close to the main attractions and is good value.We were given a room with a wonderful view of Tallinn and overall really enjoyed our stay in this hotel.

Nice modern large hotel with easy access to shopping and Old Town. Easy bus ride from the airport.

perfectly situated hotel. excellent breakfast.staff very helpful.tallin card a great way to get around and gives access to all major tourist attractions and museums.

Very good hotel, perfect location. The room was on the 16 floor, so We could see both the Baltic Sea and the Old Town. Breakfest was incredible, after you can eat only dinner. Staff was very freandly; and what I also recomend its sauna! Private (2-4 people)with small pool or jacusy,very nice!

I chose to stay in the hotel Viru as it is very close to the Old Town but not in it. I had a room on the 8th floor which gave a great view of the Old Town and harbour. The best nightclub for the more mature is situated in the hotel, the Amigo has a great atmosphere and entrance is free for hotel guests. Great hotel, friendly staff, nicely situated to walk through old town. Free wi-fi in rooms. Wish someone had cleaned the bathroom tile better, but overall, a place to recommend.

Mennessämme hotelliin klo 21.00 oli vain yksi virkailija ja asiakkaita useampia, puhelin soi koko ajan. Siis lisää henkilökuntaa ilta-aikaan. Amigo yökerho ei ollut avoinna, vaikka esitteen mukaan on avoinna kaikkina iltoina?

Perfekt beliggenhet rett ved porten til gamlebyen. Genialt med shoppingsenter uten å måtte gå ut av hotellet. Hyggelig betjening. Vi var 3 voksne på et vanlig dobbeltrom, ekstrasengen var alt for kort, men vi fikk byttet til et 3-sengsrom uten problem el. tillegg i pris. Både SPA og restaurant på hotellet var OK - altså ikke fantastisk men ok:-)

Viru on ollut aivan hyvä työmatkalaiselle, olen saanut rauhallisia huoneita / hyvin nukuttuja öitä. Nyt oli poikkeus Maanantai illalla tuli jo ryhmää vastaan kaljalasit kädessä kun saavuin omaan kerrokseen joka oli 19. Sitten yöllä saikin valvoa ja kuunella sitä huutoa .pitkin käytäviä Noin ennen klo kolmea yöllä rauhottui , ja olihan mukava nousta […] kuuden jälkeen ja lähteä töihin. Olinhan väsynyt ja harmissani. Er fornøyd med hotellet! Fine rom med god plass. Betjeningen er hyggelige, svarer på en hyggelig måte. Undersøker det de ikke kan! Anbefales!

Dette hotellet benytter jeg bestandig når jeg reiser til Tallin (hvis det er ledige rom) Flott beligenhet Profesjonell og hyggelig betjening Stor frokostbufee (07.00 - 11.00) Kort vei til Gamlebyen (100 - 200 meter) Shoppingcenter, resturant og nattklubb i samme bygg. Rene rom Gratis WiFi Prøv gjerne ett av de rommene som har sauna

Bra hotell på alla sätt. Men svag WIFI på våning 16. Detta ville dock inte receptionen kännas vid. Trevlig bar/restaurang på bottenplanet, och nattklubb i källaren av hög standard. Ett härligt hotell på alla sätt. God frukost med mycket korv och bacon. Men svag WIFI.

Viru-hotelli Tallinnassa ylitti odotuksemme. Mieheni oli käynyt siellä aika tarkkaan kymmenen vuotta sitten ja hotelli oli edelleen säilyttänyt arvokkuutensa ja ylellisyytensä. Minä olen noista adjektiiveista samaa mieltä. Lisäksi näin pyörätuolilla liikkuvana erityisesti arvostan hotellin sijaintia suhteessa kauppakeskukseen hotellin yhteydessä. Ainoa […] huono puoli voisi olla hissien ohitus muutamista kerroksista, mutta henkilökunnan erittäin miellyttävä ja kohtelias suhtautuminen auttoi täysin, pääsimme mm. henkilökunnan hissillä kauneushoitolaan. + Отличные,разнообразные завтраки. Близлежащее расположение к основным достопримечательностям(старый город,ТЦ,кафе и магазины) - Дали номера на разных этажах, хотя бронировали все вместе. Лифт после 9-ти вечера работает только по карточки от номера.И то не с первого раза...

Очень не плохой отель. Удобные номера, чистота. Порадовало и соотношение цена/качество. Качество имеется ввиду и обслуживания и самого отеля.

Oikein hyvä hotellli, loistava sijainti ja upea näköala (olimme 18. kerroksessa). Sängyt olivat hyvät ja huone oikein siisti, mutta turhan lämmin; mittarissa oli 25 astetta eikä säätönupin kääntäminen muuttanut lämpötilaa yhtään. Aamiainen oli maittava, erityiskiitos leivistä!

Hotelli on siisti ja ajantasainen; palvelu on virolaiseksi hyvinkin ystävällistä.

Vi har vært på en del 4-stjerners hoteller i Europa, og dette er definitivt det hotellet vi har vært mest fornøyd med. Beliggenheten er veldig bra – det ligger kun tre minutters gange fra portene inn til gamlebyen. Servicen er utmerket og rommene overraskende fine. Sengene var veldig gode å ligge i, noe de ofte ikke pleier å være. Frokosten var meget […] god – og den er åpen fra 7–11. Det er gratis wi-fi. Hotellet har 24/7 taxi-service, så det er alltid en ledig taxi på utsiden. Vi hadde ikke forventet oss et så bra hotell til en så rimelig pris. Vi vil absolutt anbefale hotellet. Hvis vi skal tilbake til Tallinn er det ingen tvil om at det blir på dette hotellet. Overraskende bra! Skaityti daugiau

Hotellet ligger sentralt og har høy standard. Trivelige og serviceinnstilte ansatte. Nydelig frokost. Den eneste som ikke har helt topp var heisene på hotellet. Hvis man var uheldig kunne man vente opp til 15 minutter på heis. Problemet oppsto på kveldstid, når mye folk skulle ta heisen. Jeg vil bestille samme hotell neste gang jeg er i Tallin.

Vi, fire gode venninner tidlig i 30-årene, bodde på Sokos Hotel fra 8. til 11.des 2011. Har utelukkende positive ting å si om hotellet. Ligger i gangavstand til den nydelig gamlebyen, samt bare et steinkast unna operaen. Og i samme bygg som et fire etg stort kjøpesenter, (for de som er interessert i dette.) Hyggelig betjening, rene rom, og komfortable […] senger. Dessuten veldig fleksible åpninstider i frokostsalen (07.00 til 11.00.). Man kunne altså nyte både frokost og lunsj der om man står opp tidlig. Takk for oss! Vi kommer gjerne tilbake. Skaityti daugiau
