Its a great location right across from the beach and the Atlantic Grill & Tickets. The room is a little small, but the bathroom was larger than expected...The beds are not that comfortable, but the are ok for a night or two...The hotel seems a little older so the rug and such could be replaced soon...but overall it seems clean and the rate is reasonable […] for the area..they have a nice looking pool but we didn't make it in there...Also they had a really nice complementary breakfast...eggs, waffles, yogert, cereal, tea coffee...it was good Skaityti daugiau

Walking distances to a couple of great restaurants. We were able to avoid the Newport traffic and still enjoy a great meal. The beach was just across the street plenty of people watching from the comforts of our room. Can’t wait to go back.

Couldn't have asked for a better rate on a clean, comfortable hotel. However, there were some disappointments. First, the hotel pool was closed and the pool was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel over others. Then the wifi in the room was nonexistent. Our room was clean and people were generally pleasant. That's the good part. We had no hot water so could not shower in the morning. When we told the desk clerk, her response was "oh, thank you for telling me. Some rooms have it and some don't so this helps us figure it out." No offer to either take something off our bill, let us use a working shower […] in another room, or do anything else to make up for not being able to shower. Not even a hint of an apology. She acted like there was absolutely nothing wrong with having no hot water. That is a first in all my travels. Secondly, I have experienced dozens upon dozens of "free breakfasts" at chain hotels. They are are generally not very good, and our expecations were low. But usually there is something you can eat. This was the worst excuse for a breakfast I've come across. We stayed at this hotel after the blizzard of 2013 because we had no heat or electricity at home for 3 days. The service was very good, the room was clean, warm and comfortable. Very nice as usual, Friendly and helpful staff. Their housekeeping staff however likes to slam doors in the a,m.. (So they can finish early ?). It disturbs sleeping in, etc.. Other hotels can be guilty of the same thing however--the tail wags the dog. Management has been told of this.

We had a very nice one night stay at this hotel. The room was on the small side, but clean and comfortable, and the bathroom looked newly refurbished with tiles and fixtures. Not much to offer in the way of amenities. The pool was open, and I did use it. This pool definitely needs some updating - the paint is peeling off the ceiling and walls, and the […] pool surround needed work. The pool itself was clean, and at about 80 degrees F comfortable to swim in. The shuttle service into town was not operating, (winter schedule is Friday and Saturdays only), but the front desk provided info on a taxi service, who were very friendly and responsive. We used them to get into town, and to pick us up later to return us to the hotel. The complimentary breakfast was good. Excellent cup of coffee and typical continental fare with pastries, bagels, fruit etc. Hotel is located directly across from Easton Beach, and even though it was cool, we enjoyed a nice long walk on the beach which was great. Hotel is located about a mile from downtown Newport. I strongly reccomend the Red Parrot for lunch or dinner in downtown Newport. For the price we paid, this hotel was excellent value. The location is great - right near the Cliff Walk and beach, and a short drive to downtown and the mansions. The condition of the hotel leaves a bit to be desired. The beds were extremely uncomfortable. The bench in our hotel room was stained. Both the bed skirts were ripped. The AC in the room wasn't very effective in cooling the room. The people who worked there were very nice and were accomodating but the halls were drab and dirty and had and odd smell. The location is fantastic and my room was clean and comfortable so I would stay there again.

We had seven rooms and had a wonderful time as a family. We were across from the beach, good restaurants, and the cliff walk!

Convenient. Housekeeping never did room one day. Terrific, easy breakfast available. Returned late one night and needed staff to find parking space since hotel lot was full. Thought price was high but they were full.

this place stunk. literally. We could have got beyond the smell, but the pool was closed due to roof cave in. Didnt look like they were in any hurry to fix. Wifi on 3rd floor didnt work. Cavalier answer from desk clerk was that it "doesn't work up there". Given there are only three floors in the hotel, I thought it was odd they should advertise free […] wifi. Breakfast was adequate . No refrigerator in room was very inconvenient when going to the beach for the day. Air conditioner occasionally worked and since motel was booked we were out of luck. We had a very good time. Beds were clean and comfortable. The room was one of the cleanest I have ever stayed in. If you plan to take advantage of the free breakfast get there early (the hotel across the street is a sister property and share the fight to a free breakfast) this is NOT easy to accomplish in that space.

I was disappointed when expedia told me I was getting an "ocean view" and got a view of the parking lot. We immediately switched rooms and got a better room with a somewhat view. That part was disappointing but the staff was extremely accomodating.

Amazing staff. Never had friendlier staff anywhere. Short walk to the beach. Standard room, nothing special. Free breakfast was very helpful with three kids in tow! I would stay there again.

We booked this hotel through Expedia on blind faith. The hotel was great! The staff was so kind and helpful throughout our entire stay! The breakfast in the morning was great! What a time and money saver! I couldn't have asked for anything more from this stay! Do not eat at Flo's crab shack next door- Ive never been so sick from seafood in my life! The […] staff recommends Anthony's- make sure you go! The front desk was so right!! This hotel has a deal with a restaurant across the street which looked really nice and you get 10% off but we were so thrilled with Anthony's we didn't try the other place with the discount. There is a beautiful park across from the hotel that has benches and makes a nice place for a picnic! The stay was fine except for parking. On 2 occasions I was unable to park on hotel grounds because they had sold all parking places for beach access. I was not pleased.

Overall it was very pleasent. Liked the location and the location of the restaurants, the discounted rates for dinning was a bonus. I like having breakfast right there at the hotel. If your with others its nice to go somewhere else besides just staying in your hotel room while the others are still sleeping. Nice touch with the newspaper. The girls like […] the pool too. We loved this hotel. The location was great being within walking distance of the beach and the cliffside walk. We could even walk to downtown Newport even though it was a bit of a walk. My husband and I went to get away for the weekend, The hotel was very nice and clean, coffee and tea was available through out the day. Tried going swimming but, the water was a bit chili but, overall I would stay again. And its right infront of the beach.:)
