The Inn at the Oaks - Eastham

My husband and I were actually suppose to be staying in Boston for a couple of nights but due to the bombings, we cancelled. We decided to head to the Cape since our families are located in that area. I chose the Inn and it was a fabulous choice. We were welcomed by Chip who showed us around and explained everything about the Inn before showing us to […] our room. The breakfast provided was an assortment of various baked goods, coffee, fresh fruit cup and juices. Yum to all! The Inn is conveniently located on Rte 6. Lots of beaches in the area. We had a great stay. Very welcoming staff, the room was perfect for our needs, and the added bonus of extensive breakfast options all factored in with our knowing we'll return again in the future.

Really happy when we arrived,delicious cookies and hot coffee waiting for us. Lovely looking building, good location, great set up. The really bad thing about our whole stay was the bedding. The sheets were beige and old, in fact they were the same colour as the net curtains and the towels. I may be a sheet snob, but I do like crisp clean cotton white […] sheets and these were certainly not. The bathroom was shabby but I liked the general feel of the house. The Inn was absolutely charming and the staff was kind and welcoming. Only wish I had a more time there! Super close to the Rail Trail so bring a bike! Highly recommended.

Nice, clean, Cape-Cod style inn and room. We loved the sky lights in the Oak Room. Very airy, light colors. It was great to have a private bathroom. The breakfast was wonderful- a whole fruit salad plus individual fruits, 4 types of cereal and granola, yogurts, whole grain breads and danish, coffee and many different teas. The great parts - Lovely innkeeper, quiet section of the Cape in Eastham, directly across from the entrance to beach and bike rentals, laid back feel. The compromises- Slanted small room was a chore, bathroom down the hall, continental breakfast which was extensive just not home cooked.

When we were shown our room, I knew there was a mistake. A photo and brief description of the room was given to us by Hotels.com. The room we ended up with had the same name, but was not the one in the picture. We were on the 3rd floor in a room with a peaked ceiling. We could only stand up in the center of the room. continental breakfast very good and staff of the inn quite helpful. would definitely recommend it for a stay as the proximity to the beach, local areas of interest such as chatham and provincetown make it a great location.

Our room in the outer building was larger and much nicer than expected. I wish we had known more about the specific room (i.e., there is a small kitchenette outside the room and fridge and dining table in the room) as I would have planned to save some money on a couple of meals. Breakfasts were continental and quite nice, but the last day of our stay […] (a Friday) things were a bit dry and a tad stale. Please don't let me KNOW it's the same coffee cake as yesterday! We slept like babies and the room was always tidy and the wet towels replaced when we got back from wherever. They staff was extremely friendly and seemed genuinely interested in patrons having a good stay. We got lots of good recs for doing stuff. Overall, excellent. The only thing lacking was pancakes. The staff was very friendly, and even though we came very late, they left us the key. Breakfast was also pretty good and sitting outside in the garden was very charming. We also learned that the place is historic, and is there for about 100 years. The location is also convenient (on route 6). The only thing is that the room is pretty small and oddly […] shaped (we got the room at the top of the roof, and walls were diagonal). Fantastic clean, quiet, environment. Since I ussually stay at new hotels when traveling for business, this was a refreshing alternative with my wife. I was impressed with the charm and warm atmosphere. And location was great less than two miles from the Coastgaurd beach, one of the most beautiful places I've been in the world. No pool.

This is a perfect little B&B with quaint rooms that give a very old/ Cape Cod feel, but at the same time all of the rooms are newly renovated ( I was particularly impressed by the cleanliness of the tiles in the bathroom), with central air running throughout the entire house. Its perfectly secluded and all the staff are incredibly friendly. Definitely […] your money's worth. Detriment - its on the main road, the highway. However if you are there for a few days, especially off season, and dont mind driving the 5 minutes to either the ocean side (very cold) or the bay side (very warm) beaches, then its perfect. The bed and breakfast was adequate for my needs, no fluff or upgraded amenities, but it was fine. Continental breakfast was basic but good, friendly, knowledgable owner and very convenient location. It's right across the street from the Salt Pond Visitors Center and easy access to Coast Guard and Nauset Beaches. I'd consider it again.

There are so many lovely corners of the grounds and household where you can relax and enjoy; inside and outdoor, including an upper deck and surrounded by good shady trees. Hidden away but still on the main route. Comfortable clean room, friendly staff. Loved it.

We had a terrific stay over Labor-day weekend. The rooms were comfortable and the hospitality was great. I was a little disappointed that breakfast was continental, but everything was still very good. Close to the beach too, which was a nice surprise. Overall a great stay and I highly recommend staying here.

We stopped in Eastham as part of a 2 night stay in Cape Cod. The hotel is very clean and comfortable which I would describe more as an upmarket guest house. I believe our room was the smallest in the hotel which I assume was reflected in the price, but it was still more than adequate. The only slight disappointment was that our private bathroom (for […] which we had a key) was down the corridor, which again I think was due to our allocated room - had we appreciated this we would have chosen to pay a bit more for en-suite in our room. The service was first class as was the continental breakfast. You are given the freedom of downstairs with its spacious rooms, comfortable furniture, local information and computer access. There is also plenty of places to sit outside which was great on sunny mornings, either on the porch or in the large garden. The hotel is on the main through road in Eastham which runs down the centre of Cape Cod and so access is easy. However,we felt a car was essential as there is not a lot to do within walking distance of the hotel (a couple of roadside restaurants). The car gave us access to plenty of restaurants within a few miles but remember that dinner is generally earlier in the US than in the UK - we had trouble finding anywhere still serving food after 9). Within a couple of miles drive there are some spectacular beaches and we really enjoyed our day trip to Martha's Vineyard which was beautiful. Skaityti daugiau

we normally stay at hotels/motels when we travel. we were encouraged to try a b/b by friends. we found this inn very comfortable. it was set back from the road, and quiet. it was within walking distance of the national seashore.

The main building was very nice but unfortunatly we stayed in the carriage house which was damp and musty smelling when we arrived until we turned the A/C on which took a full day and night to dry things out. The a/c was right next to the bed which was very uncomfortable when sleeping. The matress was old and worn out and uncomfortable, the sheets were […] very rough. We really enjoyed our stay at Inn at the Oaks and look forward to a return visit. The staff was very helpful and friendly. It's an older inn, but it is updated, well kept and nicely decorated. Our room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. It's on a busy street, making it hard sometimes to pull in and out of the inn, but we didn't hear any street noise […] in our room. The Inn was beautiful and the staff was very eager to please. Our room was very nice and the Inn is very convenient to everything in the Outer Cape. Our only minor complaint was that the bed was hard as a rock so it took some getting use to but we would definitely stay here again.

I absolutely loved the Inn at the Oaks. It was so warm, cute, inviting, and just a wonderful place to stay!! the place is HUGE and has a microwave and fridge at every floor. The inn was exactly as I expected (according to the advertisement). The breakfast was excellent. I enjoyed very much the fresh fruits in the morning. I will definitely go back at this Inn next time I will go to Cape Code.

Conveniently located near a bike rental shop and easy access to the cape cod rail trail and Coast Guard Beach Bike path. However, it is ON route 6, so beware of noise. Inn's main house is airconditioned, but not the rooms. Breakfast is continental, nothing special there. I did appreciate the Poland spring water bubbler for guests.

The Inn at the Oaks was a B&B near the Cape Cod National Shore Line. The location was very convenient for access to the beach, but pretty far out on the island of Cape Cod, and a 20-minute ride to Chatham, Mass. for dinner and shopping. I enjoyed The Inn at the Oaks. Though charming from the outside, we weren't impressed with our room (oak room) We have stayed at a couple of inns and B&Bs in New England now, and this room was much too austere for our taste: sparsely furnished with a glaring ceiling lamp. I guess what you pay is what you get, though we got the impression most rooms were furnished like ours.Though […] the room was littered with notes wishing us a pleasant stay and encouraging us to ask anything we needed from reception, when we asked for a second bedside reading lamp, we were bluntly told no. There was also only one night stand, and no real place to sit because of two sloping ceilings. The bathroom was across the hall (private) which is not very convenient. As another reviewer mentioned, there was some mold and rust, otherwise it was clean and comfortable enough. Breakfast was alright; some fresh pastry and fruit and cereal, more like a hotel chain breakfast rather than a B&B's. Super nette Mitarbeiter, persönlicher Kontakt mit Tips und Ratschlägen. Das Haus befindet sich direkt an der Route 6; eigentlich kein Problem, nur darauf achten, dass man kein Zimmer mit Fenster zur Straße hat. Frühstück sehr gut. Guter Standort um auf der ganzen Halbinsel Cape Cod ausflüge zu machen.

Wir verlebten einige nette Tage im Hotel. Die Zimmer sind ok, allerdings ist die Klimaanlage nicht für jedes Zimmer getrennt zu regulieren. Sehr nette und freundliche Mitarbeitet / innen.

Das Haus sieht genauso aus wie auf den Bildern. Es liegt inmitten von Bäumen, wodurch eine gewisse Idylle entsteht, die auch das Frühstücken auf der Terrasse angenehm macht, obwohl die Hauptstraße recht nah am Haus vorbeiführt. Wirklich schwierig ist es bei Dunkelheit die Einfahrt zu finden, eine Anreise bei Tageslicht ist also empfohlen. Wir hatten […] ein Zimmer im Dachgeschoss gemietet mit Bad überm Flur. Für Mitte September war es wunderbar, es dürfte im Sommer aber trotz Klimaanlage recht warm werden und weniger Gepäck ist in diesem Fall empfehlenswert (die Stufen sind sehr eng). Die öffentlichen Räume im Erdgeschoss sind sehr bequem und laden auch abends ein, dort noch ein Glas Wein zu trinken. Worüber man sich im Klaren sein muss: Eastham hat kein Ortszentrum! Es führt "nur" die Hauptstraße durch, an der eher wenige Restaurants liegen. Provincetown ist ca. 40 Minuten entfernt, Chatham mindestens ebenso. Wer also abends seine Ruhe haben will, um sich vom Strand und vom Trouble der Stadt zu erholen, der ist hier richtig. Skaityti daugiau

Si tratta di una pensioncina caratteristica posizionata appena dopo l'inizio del national park. Molto carina sia fuori che dentro; camera luminosa, colazione abbondante. Insomma tutto ok, a parte il problema aria condizionata che ha rovinato tutto. Purtroppo l'impianto è centralizzato, camere comprese. Quindi per fare stare bene gli ospiti dell'ultimo […] piano (eravamo in primavera, sarebbe bastato aprire le finestre), chi soggiornava al primo piano è stato costretto (come noi) a dormire letteralmente vestiti e con due coperte (temperatura interna probabilmente sotto i 15 gradi).
